About this cabin rental
LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!!!
Southern Dream is located in the popular cabin community of Eagles Ridge Resort located in the heart of Pigeon Forge just 1 mile from The Island and the Parkway. Southern Dream would be a fabulous cabin just about anywhere, but its proximity to the best of Pigeon Forge makes it exceptional. Dollywood, the Titanic Museum, The Island in Pigeon Forge, Alcatraz East Crime Museum, and the Tanger Outlet Mall are just a few of the attractions within a 3-5 minute drive. The Great Smoky Mountains National Park and the Great Smoky Arts & Crafts Community are each about 20 minutes away, as is downtown Gatlinburg, whose attractions include Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies.
Able to sleep up to 20-24 people—and a four-legged friend or two—Southern Dream has many of the amenities of a hotel. But with a game room, a home theater, and a hot tub, this four-story, eight-bedroom lodge offers far more than your garden-variety inn.
The primary suite makes up the loft. This luxury space includes a king-size bed, a private bathroom, and a jetted tub you’ll love lazing in after a day on the go. Like all the other bedrooms, it has its own flat-screen TV with cable. Because it’s the only room on this floor, it provides unrivalled privacy. All the other bedrooms have roku/fire stick.
The main floor, right below, houses two bedrooms, each with its own luxe king-size bed and a TV with roku/fire stick. The beamed ceilings, wood-planked walls, and log-style furnishings give these rooms a restful, rustic vibe. These bedrooms share a bathroom and are just off the great room. Open and airy, with a cathedral ceiling and a stacked-stone fireplace, the great room is everything you want a cabin’s main space to be. The leather sofas and armchairs invite you to kick back and watch a movie on the flat-panel TV, surf the web via the free WiFi, or play games with the kids. One of the couches opens into a queen-size bed, to accommodate two more guests.
The dining area is also part of the great room. The table seats eight, and there’s room for three more at the adjacent breakfast bar. The breakfast bar is also a handy spot for sous chefs to sit and help with meal prep. As for the kitchen, it’s fully equipped with stainless-steel appliances, cookware, and tableware so that you can feed a hungry crowd. And you don’t have to eat indoors: The main deck is furnished with large picnic tables for alfresco dining.
Down one flight, on the second floor, are four bedrooms and three bathrooms. Two of the bedrooms include queen-size bunk beds that can sleep up to four people. The kids will love bunking together—every night will feel like a slumber party. The other two bedrooms have king size beds that have their own private bathroom, while the bunk bed rooms share a bathroom. This floor also has a two-player arcade table.
Downstairs is where you’ll find the eighth bedroom, which features another king-size bed, and the sixth bathroom. This floor also hosts Southern Dream’s home theater and game room. Once you view a movie here, in your private screening room with so-comfortable seats, you may never want to visit a cineplex again! If you prefer playing to watching, you can shoot pool at the full-size table or try your hand at the game arcades. Should you work up a thirst, grab a drink at the wet bar—no need to head upstairs to the kitchen. The wet bar includes a full-size refrigerator, where you can also store extra groceries.
And we haven’t even talked about Southern Dream’s outdoor spaces! Each of the three covered rear decks spans the width of the lodge, as does the covered front porch, so there’s plenty of room for everyone to revel in the fresh mountain breeze, the singing of chickadees in the morning, and the star-studded sky at night. Each deck has numerous chairs and tables, and the middle deck includes a bonus: a roomy hot tub. The front porch has plenty of rockers so that you can relax in true Smoky Mountain fashion.

I feel the house could use a maintenance overhaul. There were a lot of damages that we found when we entered such as broken blinds, hole in couch ,door handles broken on bedroom door, hole in wall in one of the bunk rooms, shower dripped in the bathroom of master bedroom. Some of these pictures we sent on arrival. The hot tub had to be fixed which was done by maintenance person the night we arrived. Also, so you are aware, when we arrived the front door was not closed completely or locked. A suggestion we had was that if the house can hold 22-24 people there should be more garbage containers outside .We were told that this cabin has frequent visiting by animals and a couple nights the garbage cans were tipped over and garbage strewn on the deck even though the lids were snapped on tight. Today when we were leaving we called to tell someone that we had more garbage then would fit in the containers and were told to leave the extra bags of garbage in the kitchen.

This pet-friendly house met our expectations. There was plenty of room for everyone. The game room in the basement was loads of fun. Spacious parking for at most 6 SUVs. The road incline is exactly what is expected for a mountain house. We enjoyed all the spacious porches. There were plenty of dishes and flatware. The cooking pans are a bit worn, but worked for our needs. There are worn areas here and there throughout the house (it’s a rental and expected) But this house is very clean and that was important to our family. There is trash pickup service that comes everyday Thursday-Monday, this is a fabulous service!! We have been visiting Pigeon Forge for over 20 yr and this is one of the best cabins we’ve stayed in. Ben is an awesome host; he communicates fast and gives you all the information you need to feel comfortable and secure!

House suited our team’s needs well. They loved the theater/gameroom and the hot tub. Good location for PF activities. Great communication with host.

This property is overall very nice. A few minor things could have been better but overall a wonderful location

This house was perfect for our family get together of 16! Everyone had enough space and the house had everything we needed and more! Perfect location too! Can’t say enough good things about this stay.

This property is located so you feel like you’re out of town but it’s also very close to pigeon Forge and all the things in the area! We had seven adults and four kids and there was plenty of room. The air conditioning is a little bit inconsistent. Adjusting it so the top two floors were not too warm and the third floor down not too cold was a trick but totally worth it! There are plenty of plates, cups, glasses, towels, and all of the necessities and beds for everybody to have plenty of room.

House was great for our family. Only challenge was parking is difficult given the terrain.

We had another VRBO rented for 6 months and they canceled the morning of our check-in. This property was able to take our large group on a last minute reservation. Thanks to Ben for saving our vacation.

We had to run the dishwasher twice to get the dishes clean. The dryer does not dry. We had to drape the towels over chairs on the screen in porch to dry. We tried drying them twice in the dryer.

The place is really clean. We enjoyed our stay.

Everything was excellent and clean

The property packed a punch. Everyone had something to do from 3 yrs to 61 yrs. We brought lots of games for indoor activities so that was a blast. There are shops right at the entrance when you come in. You are close to food, souvenirs and entertainment galore.
We had one hiccup on our exit morning with the microwave door handle, but other than that...we had an awesome experience and stay at your place.
Will come again.
Highly recommend 👌

Came in on a Thursday afternoon and the owner got us in about an hour early. Thanks! Owner is quick to respond. Good location off the beaten path, but still close enough to enjoy Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Had trouble with the hot tub that the owner did address by sending a repair person out. Property was clean. It does have ALOT of steps to get to the lower bedrooms and game room. Some repairs had been made such as paint touch up, drywall repair, etc. that was lacking some workmanship. Plenty of plates and utensils. Garbage is picked up by a contractor frequently from the outside receptacles which is very nice. As with most cabins in the area, parking is an issue. This property will park six larger vehicles comfortably. There is parking in the front and in the rear (lower). Overall a very nice cabin that should serve you and your guests well.

We had 15 people stay and it was the perfect house. Close to everything

The price point was good for our family Thanksgiving gathering as my wife and I picked up the tab for our group. The multi level layout allowed for some peace in the evenings as people could separate. The owners were excellent communicators and the property was mostly clean and in decent shape but absolutely shows signs of the high volume associated with typical resort towns. That being said I was totally pleased for the price point. It is very much on par with other properties we’ve stayed at in the area. The only thing it could’ve used was more than one animal proof garbage container to avoid a garbage cleanup in the morning when the local wildlife has a midnight snack. I would absolutely stay there again.

Good stay needs to be cleaner.

Our stay at this property was fantastic, really the only gripes that we had were very minor. Some of the dishes and the drawers were a little dirty so we had to clean them before use and we prefer being a little further away from other cabins which was hard to gauge from the pictures but it is still a very nice cabin with plenty of activities and room for all! We had 12 people total and we all had plenty of room and there was plenty of parking. We were also surprised by how close we were to all of the activities in Pigeon Forge, about 5 minutes to the main strip. We would definitely stay here again.

There was 2 rooms TV didnt work in on main fllor by kutchen. My son-in-law is cable/entertainment man. He said it was plug outlets, one bathroom toilet paper thing was almost falling off and some type of small hole on couch closest to door on arm rest. Other than that everything was wonderful. Plenty of room.

My family really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. Everyone was satisfied and comfortable. Beautiful view. Ben was very timely in responding to any questions that came up. Easy check in and check out process. Would definitely book again.

This worked out well being so close to the main strip.

I loved how everything was close to the cabin and it was just enough room for our big family!

Cabin was great for our group of 21. All of our grandkids loved it and wanted to stay longer. We will definitely want to come here again

Helpful quick response time enjoyed stay minimal issue and he assisted immediately

Very nice cabin. Everything as described. Close to town but yet in trees and hills. Quiet and relaxing. Always love the Smokies and the people of Tennessee.
4.9
The cabin was huge and definitely met our need for a big space with lots of bedrooms and bathrooms. The kids loved the bunk rooms and there was plenty of space for the adults and teenagers to have some privacy.
The property manager was extremely responsive to any issues and needs that arose.
The kitchen was okay but very small and was missing some items that would have been helpful for feeding a large group. We made due, but more than one cutting board, some larger cooking pots, and better quality cooking utensils would have made things easier.
We loved the proximity to all activities and, even though the houses were close together, it was very quiet and peaceful when sitting in the screened in porch.
Overall, we had a great trip and would definitely stay here again!

The house was great for our group of 19. It was a convenient location for all of our activities (DollyWood, Gatlinburg, Stampede).
4.9
The property was very nice, it had ample space for all of us, we were able to relax in the hot tub and enjoy watching the sunrise from the balconies. Overall was a great stay

This is a very nice cabin for a large Family. We did have a problem with the wi fi because of the car show this Weekend, the dishwasher wasn’t working, but maintenance fixed that right away! Overall nice spacious clean cabin with lots is stairs!

Great location and great place - we all loved it.
4.9
We had a great time here. There was plenty of room and plenty of things to do at the cabin from playing pool to watching a movie to the hot tub. It was great!
4.9
Loved the cabin and location. Lots of steps(which I knew about when I booked it. But, the steps were worth all the rooms that came with it. First floor had everything we needed, so only the younger ones had to climb them mostly anyway. Very well stocked kitchen, bedrooms and baths. Very clean. Also, very good hosts.
4.9
Wonderful cabin! Lots of room for a big family or friends trip!

This place accommodates 20+ people, comfortably.

This was a great place for some of our staff to get together and relax! We loved the large beds and the excellent maximization of the space!

THIS CABIN WAS SUPER! ALL IN ALL, IT WAS CLEAN, IN A GREAT LOCATION, AND ONLY A SMALL ISSUE THAT WAS ADDRESSED IMMEDIATELY. WE DID NOT HAVE ANY LARGE SKILLETS AND WE WERE COOKING FOR OUR GRANDCHILDREN WHO ARE SOME VERY BIG GUYS WITH HEARTY APPETITES. CONTACTED BEN AND HE HAD SOME DELIVERED WITHIN A FEW MINUTES! WOULD RECOMMEND TO ANYONE WITH A LARGE GROUP. WOULD LOVE TO RETURN SOME TIME.
4.9
Overall this cabin felt very clean. It’s only a few minutes from heart of pigeon forge. It’s very spacious with 4 levels so you feel like you have your own space. You can tell the cabin has some age it could use a lot of updates but everything still worked fine. The only 2 things I didn’t care for was that each level didn’t have its own heat and air. The main and top level were very warm but the level under the main Level was cold. The biggest disappointment was that you have to pay to play the arcade games. All other cabins we have rented in the past we’ve never had to pay for the games.
4.9
We rented and brought our family, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren for a family Christmas vacation. We had a wonderful time in “Southern Charm” cabin.
4.9
Great location, just a few minutes from downtown Pigeon Forge. The cabin was easy to find. Plenty of space for 23 people, including 11 kids. They enjoyed the pool table and had plenty of room to run. Parking is a bit difficult. We had 6 trucks/SUVs. Would have been a bit easier with cars. My only complaint is the lack of pots/pans to cook for the amout of people the cabin holds. We ended up having to buy a few to be able to cook a meal. Overall we had a great experience with our stay and would recommend to others.

Great place for youth group. Perfect location.
