The Space:
Boasting three levels and enough space for everyone to explore and relax, The Grand on Garden is perfect for large groups staying in downtown Coeur d'Alene. Just blocks from Sherman Avenue, the ideal location of this home will have your group eager to walk the streets and find the best places to shop, eat, and explore!
This historic home was built in 1904, and although it has been upgraded with modern amenities, much of its original charm remains. As you explore the nearly 3,000 square feet, you're sure to notice the crown molding, built-ins throughout, and vintage furniture. Starting in the living room, leather seating provides a perfect place to rest and gather. Flowing through the open space, the formal dining room seats eight beside the tall windows where you can dine with friends and family surrounded by historic photos of Coeur d'Alene.
If you'd rather dine alfresco, step through the archway into the kitchen where a set of sliding doors will lead you out onto the deck with a picnic table for eight, BBQ grill, and a fenced grassy area for the little ones (kiddos or dogs). Back inside, a butcher block bar top provides additional seating for four. Crisp, white floor-to-ceiling cabinets contain everything you need for meal prep while fun, purple tile adds character to the space. Complete with stainless steel appliances, this spacious kitchen is sure to be a welcoming gathering space.
This main floor has two bedrooms, both with queen beds, luggage racks and storage, and mounted TVs for late-night movies. Joined by a closet, these rooms are the perfect blend of modern and historic... one room even has a built-in jewelry case hidden behind a mirror. A bathroom with a clawfoot bathtub and honeycomb tile can be found right beside the stackable washer and dryer, perfect for all your washing needs.
Ascend the stairs to the second level where two more bedrooms await, each with a queen bed and TV. One of the bedrooms has a junior ensuite with a beautifully renovated shower/tub combo while the other ensuite boasts a large soaking tub, standing steam shower with seating, and large vanity with ample counter space and storage. A walk-in closet completes this space.
Finally, climb up to the top floor where an open space awaits with six twin beds. The grown-ups will love all the safety features this space has to offer, while the kids will be so busy having fun they won't even notice.
This home is perfect for building memories on your trip to Coeur d'Alene. Whether you're relaxing on the porch swing or playing cards around the table, you'll find everything you need at this home.
The early morning risers will enjoy the short walk to Wellness Bar for smoothies and acai bowls or grab lunch from The Olympia, Sweet Lou's BBQ, or Crafted Tap House, a few local favorites! For the night owls in your group, explore Honey Eatery and Social Club or The Beacon, mere blocks from your front door. No matter what brings you to town, The Grand on Garden is the place to be.
Outdoor fires are restricted Memorial Day through the end of October. We appreciate your help in protecting our beautiful lands and properties.

3 families stayed and the accommodations were great. The kids stayed in the room with 6 beds. The other bedrooms were nice. The kitchen and dining room worked well for a large group. Street parking was easy to find.

We stayed with our 21 year old son, daughter and son-in-law and our 3 grandchildren, ages 9 mos to 5.
The location was perfect for every thing in Coeur d’Alene, especially near the lake. They even made sure there were toys for the kids!

Overall, the house was great. The location was great. We enjoyed our stay. With that said, a couple things should be noted that we're not disclosed before payment/ deposit was made. First, and most important, right when you walk in the door, there is a note stating that someone is living in an apartment below the house, and that there is a quiet time from 10pm to 8am. We paid a lot of money for a family trip, and didn't appreciate the lack of privacy, comfort of sharing a house with someone. It was never disclosed that someone else lives there. Next, the 2 car parking is very misleading. It should just say street parking only and avaiod all the confusion. 1st come 1st serve street parking. Also, there was 10 of us staying for 3 nights 4 days. There was not any outside garbage can for us to empty the kitchen garbage when it got full. The description said we were allowed 2 garage bags at the end of the stay. So we were just supposed to leave a bag of trash sitting around on the porch or kitchen for 3 days after we filled one up on the first night? Finally, if you smoke, you cant even smoke outside, you have to leave the property all together. Other than those minor inconveniences, it was a very njce property.

The home is in a perfect location with wonderful open kitchen and great sleeping arrangements. However, it's a bit misleading to "sleep 14 people" with only two couches in living room that can accommodate four people to hang out with no TV in public area. Recommend this home for family or group of six people.

We had 12 family members staying for four days. Everyone was happy with the rental. The loft area is best for those in their 20's.

This property was the perfect location, layout for the 11 family members staying for 4 nights. We hosted/attended a 4 day wedding event beginning with Gonzaga University 8/16, Roosevelt Inn 8/17, Hagadone CDA Resort Center 8/18, Beach/Lake/Crafted Fun 8/19! Being Parents of the Groom, we hosted the INN,Tubbs Hill for Hiking, Crafted, Terrace at Resort, After Party at Honey and the CDA Park/Beach were all EASY walking distances. The rest of the family were scattered around various blocks. Our site was pretty well stocked, 3 full baths for family readiness was key. We had hosted my sister who is a hair stylist and her husband, 20 year old, and 12 year old daughter and the LOFT was so very suitable. The master bath made for a perfect primping bathroom. The gathering porch was so nice to have....the large center dining room was a great staging area for flower arrangements and our traditional polish breakfast. The large kitchen allowed for all hands on deck when we were cooking which was only breakfast, and when we all chipped in to pack up! Becca the cleaning supervisor was extremely kind on our departure...we could not be happier with the entire experience from booking, to check in with Brandi, to fixing a glitch, to our entire stay. When choosing this property we read and re-read the reviews - the temp was amazing during a HEAT WAVE week. We brought 2 fans but didn't need them since it is stocked with coolers! Book early to snag this great venue to have the entire family!

Our family was in CDL for a reunion and found the accommodations at Garden Ave perfect for our needs. The home is close to shopping and parks, is clean with comfy beds, and has ample seating. All furnishings are relatively new and the home is very clean. Would recommend it for all age groups. The top bedroom has 6 beds for the kiddos. Great get away!

The house was perfect for our family reunion. There was plenty of space and the kitchen was outfitted with enough stuff for us to prepare almost all our meals here. I would stay again when I have another large group in CDA.

We loved this home!!! Very beautiful and unique home right in the heart of Coeur D'Alene. My wife and kids loved this home and we felt right at home here. It's very cozy and comfortable and spotless inside and out. The hosts were very kind and accommodating. We will definitely be staying here again next time we're in Coeur D'Alene!!!

Great place overall, would've been nice to know about the attached apartment and associated rules beforehand.

We ended up being a party of 6 adults, 1 teen and 1 baby as 3 in our party did not make it due to the issues with the storm and air travel. The house was very nice. Comfortable for our sized group. The only negative was how cold the 2nd floor was. A space heater was provided for the loft and when I emailed about the second floor temps another space heater was provided very quickly, within minutes. This did help, but we bought another heater for the second bedroom on the second floor. Kitchen was well appointed and beds were comfortable. TVs were in all bedrooms but not in main living area. Worked fine for us but be aware if TV watching is important to you. Fantastic location near downtown. Even with the weather we were able to walk to the shops and the resort. Would defiantly stay again.

The home is very nice, clean and in a great location. Very walkable to the lake and downtown. Just note there is a pet fee and the amount is not noted on the listing. That was the only hiccup. I would stay at this home again!
