This house was perfect for our group of 6! We were all able to spread out - so many wonderful sitting/bonus areas. The location was great - we loved the access to the hiking trail we were close to. The house was clean and the host responded quickly to the couple of questions i had.

We really enjoy staying here. This is our 3rd year in a row here. It is idea for a large family like ours as there are many bedrooms and 4 full bathrooms and a half bathroom. Located in a nice neighborhood. Easy walk to town. I love to run on the streets in the area. Lots of room to spread out in the house.

It was big enough to house 3 couples. The basement was the coolest area. As in temp wise. But it was cool too with all the nooks and crannies. Worked out well.

We were so happy with our stay. The home was very spacious, clean and in a beautiful location. I did have one concern and when I reached out to the number listed, they immediately responded and everything was good afterwards. The scenery is absolutely beautiful! Would love to come back here. Totally recommend this home.

This place sleeps 10. We had 8 (four couples). The best part was the four bathrooms. There are only plates/dishes for 8, and seating 8 at the only dining table requires finding the two folding chairs from downstairs. We had fun alternating cooking breakfasts and dinners. The house is nestled in the trees. And it is handy to the petroglyphs, White Sands, and the Space Museum.

We very much enjoyed staying at this property for a second time. Everything was wonderful there and we had a great time. Our one suggestion is to replace the TV downstairs as the controll panel does not work properly and the TV randomly and without warning changes its volume. Please let the property owner know about this. It was the same last year just worse this time with that downstairs TV.

Great location. Close to golf course and short walk into town. Big driveway and open garage were appreciated. A few improvements could be made: A gas grill should be included as charcoal grills are typically not allowed due to burn bans;fans to move air in/out of house rather than only ceiling fans; sharp knives; toilet paper; new mattresses; and better cleaning before tenants arrive.
We spoke to manager about a grill and was never told charcoal grills were not allowed, so we brought a charcoal grill from Houston. That is the reason we drove rather than fly. The rest of our group flew so the 11hr drive each way felt a little longer after learning we could not grill, and of course every meal required a grill. The oven is not great. Dining options are extremely limited. Hairs in two showers and one bathroom floor were off-putting. Nobody wants to find pubic hair in their bathroom. So, we spent an hour cleaning before we actually moved-in. Lots of dishes and utensils were obviously used then put away without being washed. Dirty, food covered items required another hour of cleaning the kitchen. Two mattresses are worn out. Unless you lay on the edge, you both roll to the center. A bathroom should have TP stocked or a message to bring your own. We picked up two grocery bags of trash around house: cups, cig butts, cig pkgs, burned wood, beer/coke cans, plastic bags, plastic forks. Keep garage door closed unless you want 4 residents' dogs exploring inside daily.

We drove from Texas for our yearly family reunion. We have been coming to Cloudcroft all my life. Upon our arrival we found this house to be clean and well kept. We had 10 people with us and it was plenty of room! The kitchen was great. I think there were 5 bathrooms?!?!? Our kids particularly loved the foosball and skiball. There were lots of dvds to watch and games to play. The linens on the kid bed were the softest I have ever felt. We enjoyed the outdoor patio areas. We had so much fun and made lots of memories together. We would definitely stay here again!

The property is spacious and in a good location! The main floor was clean, but the basement area was not clean and looked like it hadn't been vacuumed or dusted. None of the beds were comfortable and the sheets on one bed were covered with hair, which we had to remove and replace the sheets. This rental could be the perfect place with a bit of attention to detail.

My three adult children and husband shared this home for a few days. It was very clean, comfortable and as described and pictured on VRBO. We have everything we needed. My only complaint is that the heater worked a little too well in the master bedroom. It was easy to accommodate that minor inconvenience though. We skied at Cloudcroft and enjoyed the town. We would definitely book this home again.

Overall it was good! We really enjoyed our stay! It was mostly clean. We did have problems with the heater on the main floor not heating very well and the first bedroom could definitely use a new mattress.

We were overall very pleased. Relaxing stay. Great to have the wonderful kitchen to cook and the washer and dryer to do laundry. There was enough room for all of my group to spread out. Particularly was appreciative of the elliptical machine, Foosball table and Skiball game.

Great Extended Family get-away
This Large, comfortable home worked perfectly for our family's needs. The numerous bedrooms and Bathrooms were just what we needed. Our group was a total of 9 persons, all 55 yrs. of age + celebrating our parent's 65th wedding anniversary. 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths on the main level helped with accessibility for those needing level footing. A very large lower level with exercise, games, TV, 2.5 baths and 2 bedrooms. Wi-fi, dishwasher, large refrigerator, coffee maker, kitchen island worked great for serving meals. The driveway and garage area is level and easy to access. For those that are more active, the location is near downtown Cloudcroft and short walk to the Lodge historical hotel and golf course. Thanks to Traci for quick response to the few questions we had upon arrival. Cloudcroft was beautifully green and cool. Weather was perfect and we couldn't have asked for any better accommodations to fit our needs.

Great Rental!
My husband and I flew out to see our son at Holloman AFB recently. We wanted to rent a place with enough space for him to come stay with us for the weekend at least. There was a mixup with our prior VRBO rental and then we found this place. I'M SO GLAD WE DID! This rentals description and online pictures don't do it justice. With 5 bedrooms and 6 baths, there was more than enough room. There is a nice gaming area downstairs with a Foosball table, Skee-ball, and a closet full of board games and puzzles. ( FYI: Most of the board games were for younger kids.) Kitchen is well stocked with dishes, pots and pans, and fantastic appliances. Cloudcroft is not a big town and has no grocery store. The local Allsups (open 24hrs) had a small selection of milk, eggs, bread, some fresh veggies and canned goods. We were able to make a midnight supper with what we found at Allsups. The next day we got supplies at the local Family Dollar store and finished up getting anything else we needed from a short drive down into Alamogordo. There is a large assortment of spices in the pantry and coffee for the coffee pot. Extra blankets in each bedroom and in couch/tv areas. Entire house was very clean. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. Great amount of parking. I could truly go on and on!
There were only a few "cons". Our flight was late so we ended up not arriving until 10:30ish pm. The instructions that had been sent to us for the keyless entry didn't work. It took us a while to be able to get in touch with the property manager to get another code that would open the door. Dryer works but it did take a few cycles to get things dry.
This house was wonderful. We would definitely stay here again and will for sure recommend this place to others.
