Prachtige locatie en prima uitvalsbasis voor wandelingen en uitstapjes in centraal Gran Canaria

De prachtige omgeving en ligging vlakbij centrum Tejeda met leuke restaurants. De rust en stilte waren super! Geen terrasje aan appartement (8) maar wel beneden ligbedjes waardoor je buiten kon genieten van zonnetje en uitzicht. De host Alicia is zorgzaam en zeer klantvriendelijk en heeft geholpen om naar medisch centrum te gaan toen ik ziek werd.

De uitrusting van het vrijwel nieuwe appartement is compact en basic. Koken ligt vanwege de uitrusting van de keuken niet voor de hand, maar er zijn diverse gezellige restaurants op loopafstand in centrum.

Exceptional

Calma Suites Tejeda is an exceptional place to unwind and recharge. The breathtaking view is just one of the many highlights of this remarkable location. Additionally, the on-site gym provided me with the opportunity to maintain my fitness routine throughout my stay. Alicia, the host, was a pleasure to interact with and was always available to assist with any requests. We are looking forward to my return to this wonderful destination.

Good apartments far away from all the tourists.

No sound at all, however we were the only guests. Very good size of the rooms and the view was great! A hiking trail starts right beside the apartments.

It’s a bit dusty and the dish cloths felt a bit old. The kitchen lacks a cutting board and a vacuum would be nice if you stay a couple of days.

Modern and nice apartments

Great modern apartments. Well equipped kitchen. Cozy living area, comfortable beds with the softest blankets! Free spacious private parking in the yard (not the best driveway though - with low car you won't be able to drive up that road easily). Great location - right next to shops, restaurants but more private at the same time. Our room had a nice mountain view as well. Close to Roque Nublo - great starting point to explore the island! We conveniently collected the keys from the keybox, easy communication with the hosts via booking app, whatsapp.

The whole open bathroom/shower area is kind of weird to be honest. It's not bad, but seems just a bit uncomfortable having everything separately but in an open space at the same time. Also - you should be aware of how long you shower, as there is not that much of hot water.

Lovely modern studio apartment with winderful view

Very modern studio apartment with comfortable beds and furnishings. The kitchen was mordern but basic and there were absolutely no provisions there e.g tea, coffee, salt pepper. We had apartment 8 which had a wonderful veiw but no terrace. If we go again Aparment 3 has the best view plus a terrace.

The metal external stairs are quiet noisey and as other reviews if in the lower apartments this could be very disturbing. Definitely ask for an apartment with a view!

Very good with the reservations made above.

The location was great and cotrolled parking in a secure area was also very good. The apartment was also clean with good facilities.

We were disappointed that questions relating to the apartment and our arrival at it were not answered before we arrived very late. We had asked well in advance which was the best route to take from Las Palmas Airport but this was not answered and the route we took had been closed for some time due to road works. When we arrived there was nobody to meet us and there were no instructions how to operate the heating, hob and shower. Consequently, our first night was very cold and we were unable to have a shower or cook any food. We strongly suggest that a Manual is available in every apartment to help incoming occupants if they arrive late and cannot be met by Alicia and/or her team.

lovely apartment, nice location, would stay again and would recommend.

I’d definitely stay here again. We had apartment 5 which had a great view of the mountains from the living room. the hosts were responsive when we messaged them with any questions. Kitchen is well equipped with hobs, microwave, lots of plates, pots, pans and enough utensils to cook basic meals, saved us some money on meals out every night. it’s modern looking, clean and the lounge area was nice and comfortable to sit and relax after a day hiking.

Hot water tank is so small, barely allows 2 short showers before going cold but not a huge problem for two people staying there (just be careful not to stay in the shower for too long).

Nice location in the mountains of Gran Canaria. The bed was very comfortable!

I was disappointed to get the only room without a view that has only windows to the staircase where everyone walks through.

I had good time in Tejeda.

Very good facilities. Flat owner was also very helpful. Tejeda is beautiful village. Build environment is beautiful and nature around Tejeda is amazing. Beautiful hiking routes, like route to Roque Nublo. More modest hiking route, from Tejeda to Cruz de Tejeda starts less than 100m from house.

Last night of my stay there was some weird banging noise every now and then. Disrupted my sleep a bit. I suspected that high wind blow caused that noise. All in all this place was positive surprise.

Not the best experience

the room was nice-modern

First of all, if you don’t have a room with a view, you will have to keep the blinds closed because the view is in the common area. So no natural light at all. Second, they have a problem with the heating. It’s done exclusively by AC and doesn’t work all the time. The day we arrived there were 9 degrees Celsius outside and inside maybe 17. We were freezing and the only solution given was an extra blanket. The second night the AC worked for almost 2 hours, but wasn’t enought to heat the room. Again, we were freezing. Last day they brouht a small radiator that helped a bit. So my fiancee caught a cold and it was really bad. Also, there s a problem with hot water, it doesn’t last long so keep that in mind. At 9 am-09.30, you shoud expect drill noise and worker’s tools. The cleaning could be better as there was a lot of dust in the bathroom and on the shelves. On top of that I didn’t have the experience I hoped to have on my Bday but it could have been worse.

El Fraile cottage

Calma suites was overbooked and we were moved to El Fraile. Cottage location was super central, very nice terraces but otherwise very basic.

El Fraile was old cottage, charming, but all interiors old and kitchen utensils very basic and old. During evenings there was bit cold, heating did not help enough.

Perfect views in a quiet setting!

The apartment location is amazing, right in the centre of Tejeda. Perfect for exploring the mountain area. The apartment was spotlessly clean. The facilities were great, fridge/freezer, hob top, kettle, toaster and microwave. The host and handyman were very easy to contact and very helpful. I would definitely recommend Calma Suites and would stay here again. 10/10 all round!

The apartment is very cosy, clean and has all the necessary amenities. We stayed in no 4 which has a nice terrace with an incredibile view of Tejeda. We enjoyed our stay even if we mostly only sleep at night there. Highly recommended!

Spotless studio in beautiful mountain location

Spotless, beautifully equipped modern studios in the mountain village of Tejeda - everything is brand new. Kitchen has everything you could need, shower is powerful and bed comfortable. There are about 10 units in the building, which is a few minutes walk from the main street in Tejeda. Free parking outside, stunning mountain views. Keys were left in a keybox, with very good liaison via SMS and WhatsApp from the hosts. Recommended.
