The home had everything we could possibly have needed or wanted. Historic vibe with updated kitchen and baths. Be aware, they kid you not when they caution about steep winding stairs to bedrooms. The neighborhood felt very safe and nighttime strolling was enjoyable.

Overall and in general our stay at this property served its purpose well.
1. We were able to get in after a little fight with the lockbox and some pushes on the sticky door.
2. We had to contact the host to confirm the parking location and were grateful for the relatively quick response because we were initially parked in the wrong place.
3. The stairs were as challenging as described and took some getting used to, but once we got our luggage upstairs they weren't too bad.
4. The property was clean, comfortable and quiet so we felt safe and were able to rest very well.
5. The location was good, allowing for a good walk to downtown hotspots like Reading Terminal, etc. The property is right in front of a bus stop so you can people watch while in the kitchen. Some people did dump their trash right in front of the house inside the front gate, but after alerting the host he come by and removed it later that day.
6. There will be mice if you leave anything edible on the counter overnight. I wasn't aware of this and left some candy (in a plastic bag within a paper bag) on the counter. The next morning I discovered that each piece of candy had been physically assaulted by surprise visitors. This was the only sign of mice so If you refrain from leaving anything out that might attract them, you'll have no problems.
7. Overall, a little pricey but a decent stay. Recommend a tv in each bedroom, and a bigger one in the living room. The visitor's guidebook was a nice and helpful touch.

My husband, sons and I stayed at this home in Philly for several days and truly loved everything about our trip! This home is so well maintained and beautiful with loads of historic charm. The neighborhood is very walkable with tons to do. We spent all our time walking everywhere and only grabbed Ubers at the end of the day when we were tired lol. I highly recommend staying here! Being that it is in the heart of the city is can get a tad noisy but we loved that because we wanted the full experience of a city stay. The beds are comfortable and baths and kitchen nicely updated. We'd stay again!

So convenient to restaurants, coffee shops, and convince store right across the street. 20min walk to Love Park and $15 Uber to UPENN or Drexel.

You can tell this house is well taken care of by the owners. They have decorated it beautifully. The location is right in the center of it all in Philly, which is great, but also a little noisy. The owner was great with us and made sure we had everything we needed. He even brought us some snacks and water to welcome us :) The house is 3 stories, and the stairs are narrow and spiral as they mention, so if you don't like stairs, it's not for you, but we thought of it as extra exercise. The parking is a short walk to the house, but at least it includes parking. We soon found that parking was limited in the city. Overall, we were happy with our stay and thankful for everything the owner did for us.

We enjoyed our 5 night stay at Brook's home. The kitchen was well-appointed and comfy beds were a plus. The parking space was convenient. We walked everywhere from this location!

We returned to Philadelphia, where we used to live, for approx. 6 days and had a great visit. Reading-Terminal Market is a short walk away, as are many historic sites. The house is clean and well-maintained, with comfy beds and well-appointed baths, in particular. Hosts are lovely and easily accessible.

This 3-story home has a beautiful primary suite on third floor with high ceilings, huge closet and very nice bathroom with large walk-in shower & separate WC. Main floor has comfortable, spacious living area with kitchen on same floor. Hosts provide lots of amenities, which is always a nice touch. Having our own included parking space one block away was a huge help for us.
