About this house rental

Cozy Lake cottage on the Little River Lake. Come relax on the porch with your coffee in the mornings or take an afternoon nap on the hammock. Fish for a little in the afternoon or go down to the Little River Lake Facility and rent a canoe. It’s the perfect get away that is still close to town and wonderful restaurants. Up to two well behaved and vaccinated dogs are welcome on the property. Dog fee $75.00 for up to 2. Sorry, no cats due to allergies. Swimming is not allowed in the lake.

Huge back deck, large yard, beautiful garden cottage with a place to play games or just relax. Perfect for extra room for family staying in town.

The house sits on the Little River Lake. The lake is more for ambiance not for swimming.

Max of two dogs. Dog fee is $75.00 per stay. There is a security camera on the front porch so we can tell when our guest have arrived and can assure they make it into the property safely and so we can tell when they check out so we can go clean the property. There is no swimming allowed in the lake. There is a public park area where canoes can be rented. Early or late check-in fee $50

Loved the property. It was clean, quiet and well appointed. The ONLY suggestion would be to add pictures and description of the master bedroom/bathroom. If there are any mobility issues it could be a problem- it’s very unique and quite cute, but could be an issue for some. Thanks for a wonderful stay!!

Family decided to get away for a few days and randomly picked this property based on size, location, and reviews. We were very happy with the experience (except for the constant rain), and the host is deserving of SIX stars! She was so incredibly responsive to every tiny little question, it was super helpful. one small recommendation: some sort of lake access for a small boat or something. Maybe not allowed by local ordinances?

The cabin is located within a 15 minute drive to Camp Butner, restaurants and grocery stores. As my husband was at the games, I appreciated the wifi access and streaming TV. The owners were quick to respond when the grill was out of gas and there was a power outage. The cabin was very clean and the towels and linens were good quality. The pots and pans need to be update, but we're acceptable for a limited stay. I only made dinner two nights. Silver Spoon

This was a nice cozy house, well away from the road and very quiet. We had six adult family members staying at the house over the holidays and it was perfect for that purpose. I can also see it would be great for families with kids.. Owners were very responsive when the pipes froze due to the unusually cold weather, and they came out and fixed the problem right away. Thank you Andrea and Amy!

Our sons are adults and are married so spending time with them is important when we can all get our schedules together especially since we live in different states. Plus, we have a golden retriever who has separation issues and does not do well with boarding (she refuses to eat) . We were so happy to find such a comfortable place that was accepting and welcoming for our doggie and to have our family gather, play board games, cook together, roast marshmallows by the fire pit and just enjoy one another's company. The bedrooms are comfortable, the kitchen table sat all of us for dinner and board games. We would stay again.

This property is tucked away from the hustle and bustle, complete with your own access to the water. Very clean and spacious place. Only about 40 minutes away from Raleigh. Host is friendly and quick to respond. Overall it was exactly what we were looking for!

Great place. All the pictures and discriptions ring true. Beautiful cottage tucked away in the woods on a lake. Andrea was awesome. Zero complaints. If you are concerned about anything, don't be. Just book it. My only regret is that I couldn't stay longer. Thanks Andrea!!!!

A quaint, cozy, clean cottage. Exactly as seen in pictures. Beds are comfortable, medium softness mattresses. One bedroom with on suite bathroom is across the home from other two bedrooms, nice for privacy. The on suite bathroom is separated from bedroom by a wall ,but open to bedroom space. not an issue but different. Large back deck with river view, a big grill, table with umbrella and chairs, and a relaxing tiered water feature, lovely space to relax. Is close to grocery stores 4 or 5 miles. However, it is off a main road so not walking friendly. Owner very communicative, responsive! Highly recommend!

We decided to turn a Duke medical visit into a vacation and this was a perfect location. The property is close enough to town, but is still secluded with a great view of the lake. It is close to hiking trails, too. The size of the house was perfect for our new family of 3. The host was very responsive.

Very easy check in check out process. My point of contact person was amazing and very helpful. The house was clean and spacious. The back yard deck is perfect!! We enjoyed a BBQ and s’more‘s by the fire pit. Keep your eye open you’ll see at least a dozen squirrels 🐿. My suggestions are to have a few additional towels and upgrade the pots and pans. But besides that this is a five star property. We will definitely stay again.

The cottage is cozy and comfortable for just hanging out. Nice deck. Very pleased that there were no mosquitos! The property driveway is off of a 4-lane highway, so there is nowhere to take a stroll after dinner. And the master suite has a moldy smell that needs to be addressed.

Our family enoyed this cozy & secluded cottage. It was very clean, well decorated, & adequately stocked with dishes/towels/linens. Even though the cottage is secluded next to a lake, it was within reasonable drive time to Durham. We highly recommend this cottage & would stay here again. Only issue we had is that we could not get volume to work on tv, but that could just have been me not been tech savvy. This is a cool place.

I've stayed in several rental properties lately that have left something to be desired, but the Cozy Cottage was just right. Clean, nicely decorated without being too much, cute baskets of towels in each bedroom. Outside a terrific hammock with a view of flowering plants and the reservoir. A perfect place to stay while we waited for family members to arrive for our beach trip!

My daughter and I like to stay in places that have more of a country setting, and this home definitely gave us that feel. Enjoyed looking out on the river. The home is very clean and comfortable. The beds were the best we slept on during our trip. We had only 1 day to explore before returning home and since gas availability was a concern, we took a lovely drive into Hillsborough. The Riverwalk there is delightful and highly recommend Hillsborough BBQ. Would definitely stay here again!

Adorable cottage, amazing views

Stunning water views, diverse wildlife, and epic star gazing. I especially enjoyed hearing the owls hooting at night and watching the wide variety of birds coast over the water at dawn. The en-suite bedroom is really unique and the deck is spacious with a variety of seating options. Hosts are very responsive and friendly. We will definitely be back!!
