About this house rental
Brand new year round updated house on Chittenango Creek at the Mouth of Oneida Lake NY. Front door is steps to the water. Oneida lake is considered the thumb of the finger lakes and runs east to west. Chittenango Creek is smack dab in the middle at the southern most point of the lake. the creek water runs north into the mouth of the lake and that’s exactly where we are! The fishing is phenomenal.

We had a very nice family vacation staying at My Blue Heaven! Julie was a pleasure to deal with and was very accommodating when we asked a question. I highly recommend staying on her properties and will most definitely rent from her again!

We stayed at Julie and Eric’s place for the week to spend some down time boating and fishing on Oneida Lake. While the last few days, the weather did not cooperate for boat time, we had everything we needed in the house. The outdoor living space was fantastic to entertain and relax in, even in the rain. Also, having the new dock out front to keep our boat was super convenient. Boat launch is a few houses down which made things super easy. And our dog was welcome. :)

This lake house has all you need for a wonderful vacation. The owners have thought of everything from a well stocked kitchen, comfortable bedding & supplied linens. The outdoor space is amazing with a brand new dock complete with Adirondack chairs and umbrellas for those hot summer days. There is also a beautiful shaded area under the gazebo and an outdoor kitchen. Kayaks and stand up paddle board are on site as well. The house is on the channel just a short distance to the lake. Perfect location! The owners were quick to respond to all comunications. Highly recommended!

Comfortable cabin. Lovely quiet setting in a channel just off Oneida lake. Everything we needed was already available thanks to our excellent hosts! The place was clean and had many updates. We docked our boat on a newly built stable dock and lounged outdoors in a beautiful space! I'd definitely go back!

This is a wonderful rental. Our family and friends enjoy our stay in this cozy cabin. The beds were comfy, the house was clean and we needed for nothing. Our hosts were gracious. The neighbors were wonderful. I can't wait to visit again.

We needed a place to stay while visiting family near by. It turned out to be a great location for that. The house had everything we needed and then some. Having the use of the Canoe, Kayaks and paddle-board was wonderful, my teens were out every day. We also celebrated my daughter’s 16th birthday there. We had such an awesome time. Thank you Julie for being such an attentive host. We will definitely stay here again when visiting family.

We decided to stay outside Syracuse for family weekend. This cabin was awesome and a great little getaway. Extremely clean and full of everything you need. The street and neighborhood are very quiet and family friendly (including dogs!). And… although we didn’t take advantage of the lake access, it sure looked perfect! We’d recommend staying here 100%.

The little cabin is very nice, for the size. Ideally, I would have preferred the windows and doors to lend themselves to a little more privacy. However, I would consider renting again anyway. We’ve stayed in many rentals, and this one was well equipped, compared to some. We enjoyed our stay & it meet our needs.

From the beginning, communication with Julie and Eric was superb! The cottage was just as described and outfitted quite well. It was great to sit by the water, watch the boats go by and relax! Friendly neighbors too! Hope to visit again!

The Oneida Lake rental was clean and cozy. The owners provided all of the comforts of home including utensils, games, a/c, and TV. The outside living space is where we spent most of our time, cooking most of our meals and looking out on the water. There was plenty of room to dock my boat and the nearby towns offered everything you might need. Communication with the owner was perfect. I would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful, cozy cottage in a great setting complete with everything you need for a lovely getaway! Comfortable beds and furniture, lovely view on calm channel. Patio and kitchen both well equipped and great places to relax. Owners were very responsive and accommodating if needed. Great decor, cannot wait to stay again!

Perfect spot for a three day getaway with the kids. Water was right there for fishing, kayaking, swimming and just watching the boats go by. We even enjoyed watching the rain under the covered patio. Close to food and other activities.

Great location. Supplied with kayaks and paddle board. Listing said sleeps 6 but it really sleeps 4. With blowup cushions sleeps 6. House had a bad oder…kind of like cat urine. We did enjoy our stay tho and would even go back to this property if they’d have us.

This is a delightful, cozy cottage to enjoy. It is on the quiet Chittenango Creek that feeds into Lake Oneida. It offers the quiet creek as well as the full-size lake to play in. The cottage is quaint with modern updates. It is clean and very tidy. The inside has everything you need to live for the week. It is appropriately appointed with linens and a large variety of kitchen needs. They have also provided a great array of outdoor “toys,” including 2 kayaks, stand up paddle board, sturdy canoe, and tons of fun outdoor games. As the pictures reflect, it has a perfect outdoor entertainment arrangement. They have provided everything for indoor and outdoor needs. The owner was ALWAYS readily available to answer all questions, thoroughly and with enthusiasm. You can’t go wrong with this choice!

This was a cute little cabin & perfect for our family getaway. It was clean & as described. The owners were super responsive & very nice.
A few things for future renters to note : available outlets (for charging phones, etc) are limited. The blinds do not offer any privacy at night in the bedroom facing the water - with the lights on inside you can see everything. The stove is not level - cooking is a little challenging & if you were to bake something it would be even worse.
These are absolutely not deterrents for staying at this cute little cabin - just things to be aware of.
I would recommend this place & likely stay again when in the area.

What a wonderful stay! House was adorable & right on the water, which my husband loved to just walk out the door & fish. Bed was super comfy & the bedroom was large enough for all our "stuff". We also love that the house is pet friendly as our golden doodle had a blast as well. Kitchen was well stocked & even had a brand new stove & dishwasher. The house has lots of windows so it is very bright & sunny throughout the day. We sat outside under the stars & had a roaring fire as we listened to all the birds & local wildlife.
Loved it & we will be back!

We had a great time on our stay. The area is very quiet and pretty. The outdoor area is really nice and a great addition. It was too cold for us to swim but would love to come back and get that chance. Communication with the owners was amazing, very nice people. Everything we wanted was there, also no mosquitoes for a place so close to the water a big plus. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

We were in town for our daughter’s college graduation and this was the perfect spot to get away from the craziness and spend time together. We loved our stay at this adorable home! Everything we would need was available…even birthday candles ! The house is decorated beautifully. The kitchen is remodeled and gorgeous! Waking up and sitting watching the water while drinking our coffee was so relaxing. Julia and Eric have thought of every detail. Communication was fantastic and they were a pleasure to work with!

Washer/dryer good water pressure , dishwasher You are right on the water and they have kayaks, canoe and much more. Outside area is awesome! There is a fire pit, a covered pergola area with a table propane heater, grill area and more. Can't say enough good things and look forward to the next time!

Julie and Eric were very responsive and willing to make some last minute changes. "Cozy and comfortable" is the best way to describe their place. And when they say you can fish from their back patio, they aren't kidding! We would love to visit again.

For my husband birthday we wanted to getaway and my husband found this great place because he lives to fish. This home that Julie and Eric have is by far the best kept secret. The home was clean, just enough room ,beautifully decorated and right on the water. What I loved about this home is it’s in a quite place , with all the amenities and greatly priced. When Julie and Eric found out it was my husband birthday they also left a Great bottle of wine. We drive in a winter storm and sJjkie message to make sure we made it alright. I truly recommend that if your looking for a great getaway with your family that this is the place to go.

Nice cottage in a beautiful location. Property is well maintained and decently updated with nice indoor and outdoor furniture. Instructions provided by host were useful. Outdoor space was excellent for grilling and relaxing and we especially enjoyed the kayaks and yard games.
Unfortunately despite the listing details the hosts did not provide any toiletries aside from hand soap, so we needed to run to the store for basic necessities like shampoo and body wash. Also, plenty of firewood was provided by the firepit but we had no fire starter, lighter fluid, fire tools, or axe so it took quite a while to get a very primitive Boy Scout fire going.
Finally I will add this rental is ideal for a couple and also fine for a family with kids but not recommended for more than two adults traveling as pairs/friends. Note the second “bedroom” is a (beautiful) sunroom and furnished with a futon, but this meant one couple got a real bed and the others got a futon. The very comfortable couch is a pull out bed, but it’s right next to the bathroom which has a barn door with little privacy and also located right next to another sliding door to the bedroom which is absolutely awful as it slides off the track and makes a lot of noise.
Overall minor annoyances aside we enjoyed our stay here and might return but only as a couple’s retreat.
