About this cabin rental

Jackie's cabin is full of gems and surprises. Guests say the pictures don't do this property justice! As soon as you arrive, you will be whisked back in time, 142 years to be exact, to the 1880s. This cozy cabin has tons of character which includes original beamed ceilings, original clear grained Douglas Fir floors. You can tell your friends that you got to stay in one of the oldest homes in Buena Vista. Even though the cabin is rustic it has many modernized features...Wi-fi, TV, fully stocked kitchen - including an air fryer and Keurig coffee maker, brand new gas fire place, washer/dryer, etc. The natural light in living room and dining room is great for a work vacation.
The cabin is so conveniently located - walking distance to shopping, parks, and restaurants. The neighborhood is very quiet.
A fenced in yard so your children and pets can play in safety. The magical garden is adorned with such a variety of mountain flowers. Several water fountains are "splashed" throughout the gardens along with many fun and pretty decorations. One of the few rentals that you can roast marshmallows over a fit pit ...as long as there are no fire restrictions. In the "court yard" area there's plenty of seating as you wait for your hamburgers to get done on the gas grill.

It's no wonder our property has inspired many writers and creatives after even a short stint with us. A pioneer of its time, you will feel, smell, and almost taste the history and energy this quaint, eclectic space has to offer.
Your stay at Jackie's cabin will have your imagination running as wild as flora and fauna in the shrubbery. We pay homage to that with an 1880s cozy frontier-style abode; step back in time into your own movie set.

No visit is complete without bonding and bonfires as you roast marshmallows and swap stories around the fire pit in her eclectic courtyard. With plenty of seating and guaranteed warmth from the propane heater for the cooler nights, entertaining around the BBQ could not be more Instagram-able. Oh and don't forget your guitar!

Balmy summer nights, clear skies, just the mountains and the stars. On a clear, moonless night, you can view the Milky Way in her full magnificent beauty.

We welcome you to bring up to 2 pets, for just $25 per dog, per stay. Just make sure you don't leave evidence of your pet's stay!

We loved this VRBO in Buena Vista. Great, clean cabin with an amazing yard for dogs. Super close walk to downtown. Great host and property manager and I would definitely recommend this to anybody looking for an awesome place to stay.

This property is only a couple of blocks from downtown. It has everything you need. It is clean and has a very nice cabin feel. It also has updated appliances and entertainment equipment.

As other reviews have stated what a charming cabin! We all enjoyed our stay here for 4 nights-kids and dogs included. It’s on a quiet street with a great fenced in yard. We enjoyed sitting outside and it’s walking/biking distance or a short drive to anything around town. It’s even cuter in person and I thought the listing was great! Lisa was very responsive as well. Highly recommend and we’d def stay here again.

The listing was accurate and the cabin was perfect for us. We loved the yard and just wish we had more time to relax among the beautiful flowers and rustic outdoor seating area. The cabin was super clean too!

We stayed for two nights, which was not enough! We wished we could have enjoyed the backyard because it was so magical. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. It has all the modern admenities you need. Jackie was very easy to communicate with, we had no issues. Thank you for sharing your home.

What a treat to stay in such an old but beautifully maintained and appropriately updated cabin! The kitchen was well stocked with all that was needed to prepare meals. We enjoyed the yard and outdoor grill in the evenings. Thanks for being dog friendly. Our dog and child loved having the freedom to safely explore the yard.

Lisa was AMAZING to work with! I was proposing this weekend and surprising my fiance with this perfect cabin afterwards. Lisa was so great to work with, she had flowers, champagne, pictures, and plants all set up for when we walked in. I cannot express how perfect this cabin is and how great Lisa is. My husband and I live in Denver and chose to escape for an evening to one of our favorite places in Colorado - Buena Vista! We booked this spot one day in advance was all, for a quick romantic getaway. The check-in process was an absolute breeze, and the property manager, Lisa, was a delight to speak with. This cabin is absolutely incredible you guys!! Staying for only one night was not nearly enough time in such a beautifully crafted home. The decor is fabulous - just wait until you are staring face to face with a giant wolf, sprawled across the living room wall. Our mind was blown! It was a quick ride into town, because the cabin is situated in town itself, and a beautiful, seamless ride up to Mount Princeton as well. We cannot wait to stay in Jackie's home again - this time for a longer duration of time. <3

It was a fantastic location walkable to the main strip and local parks. Has a beautiful and very large yard that’s fenced in around the entire house and mountains in the background. Great for dogs. Lots of sitting room outside. Electric fire place on the inside. Basically, every window in the house can vent open if needed. Large parking spot for car. Beds are comfy and plenty of storage in the rooms for clothes and stuff. Great shower pressure in the bathroom with a tub. Will def stay again

My husband and I stayed in this cozy spot for a long weekend in Buena Vista. The garden is spacious and fenced in completely for the safety of our dog. We very much appreciated having such a charming outdoor space to relax in. There are lovely plants across the property, including aspens that were just starting to show some color during the weekend in September we stayed there. There are so many decorative and thoughtful touches across the cabin and the yard. The house was stocked with everything we needed. One day we were there was cold and very rainy. We found it so relaxing to stay in the cabin with the lovely gas fireplace. The location was very convenient to downtown and walkable to Main Street. We would definitely come again!

I loved this cute little place. It has a lot of antiques, mountain feel, & history all bundled into one quaint little place. Close to a lot and a nice big yard for our dogs to run around in and outdoor seating that made us feel connected. Cant wait to stay here again next time im in Buena Vista!
