A MODERN CABIN NEAR JIM THORPE

Chestnut Tree Lodge is a perfect spot for family reunions and group getaways. This 2500 sq ft mid-century chalet, located in protected forestland, features 5 bedrooms across 2 floors, two living areas, plus a game room and playroom for kids. Recently renovated, it provides easy access to hiking, Hickory Run State Park, and Jim Thorpe. Relax in the hammock under the Chestnut Tree, soak in the hot tub, or enjoy s'mores around the firepit overlooking 17,000 acres of wild forest.

Unwind on the two velvety, emerald green sofas. Watch Netflix, Hulu or Disney+, play games, or simply enjoy the gas fireplace.

The kitchen, open to the living area, features a dining table for 12 and a peninsula bar with seating for 2. It is fully equipped for preparing snacks, meals, and cocktails.

• 3 full bathrooms are all newly-renovated and offer showers and a tub (upstairs)

The house is fully stocked with soft, hotel-quality sheets, bath & hand towels, duvets and soft blankets, and ready for your getaway! No need to bring anything, unless you'd like an extra towel for the hot tub or the beach. We provide one deluxe bath towel per guest, plus plenty of hand towels and washcloths are stored in the bathrooms.

PERFECTION IN THE POCONOS

The first floor offers a second living room, game room, and kids' play area, separate from the upstairs. A large sofa faces a WiFi-enabled flatscreen TV, perfect for group movie nights. Enjoy Mario Kart on the Nintendo Switch or the digital Star Wars pinball machine. There's also a cozy reading nook under the stairs for little guests.

A sparkling hot tub on the ground level is perfect for relaxing after a long day. In the evenings, gather around the fire pit for stories and s’mores.

Step outside to enjoy the Poconos' beauty and peace. The deck features a barbecue for grilling and Adirondack chairs for morning coffee. Watch for deer and wild turkeys, read in the hammock, play horseshoes, or hike in the surrounding forest.

• Location: Hickory Run Forest, about 10 miles from downtown Jim Thorpe, PA (close to Albrightsville, PA).
• Wifi: Lightning-fast wifi is available throughout the home and makes WFH very easy.
• Parking: There’s parking for up to eight cars in the driveway.

We want our guests to have the best possible experience at the cabin, so we're happy to offer firewood bundles, s'mores kits, a private chef, in-home massages, family photography sessions and more, plus access to local attractions for a nominal additional fee. The house feels isolated once you're there, but you're ideally situated to enjoy northeastern Pennsylvania's famous local skiing, hiking, tubing, and waterparks!

You’ll be 15 minutes from Jack Frost and Big Boulder Mountains, and less than 30 minutes from Camelback Mountain. Plus Kalahari Water Park, the largest in the US, is only 30 minutes away! Enjoy a day of adventure and then return to Chestnut Tree Lodge, your personal mountain oasis, to dine and relax with your family.

World-renowned Pocono Raceway, aka ‘The Tricky Triangle’ is only 10 miles from Chestnut Tree Lodge. You’re only minutes away from world-class racing excitement! On non-race weekends, speed enthusiasts can get a taste of the action with a thrilling Stock Car Racing Experience and behind-the-scenes track tours.

If you’re in search of more outdoor adrenaline-pumping entertainment, world-famous Skirmish Paintball is only 10 minutes away in nearby Albrightsville, PA.

The Poconos is truly a four-season destination and there’s always something new to explore! Other local attractions include:

-Jim Thorpe. The historic Victorian mountain town known as 'Little Switzerland of the USA' is just 15 minutes away. It features excellent dining and drinking options, plus the Mauch Chunk Museum and Cultural Center which details coal mining history and the life of the town's namesake, Native American athlete Jim Thorpe. Stroll the quaint Main Street and enjoy great local cafes, restaurants and shopping. Plus, Jim Thorpe has become a big tourist destination thanks to their popular festival weekends, celebrating various holidays, the arts and seasonal highlights.

-Lake Harmony. A vacation destination for generations, where you can rent a boat for the day or find popular brunch and dinner restaurants. We highly recommend grabbing a drink and a bite one of the casual waterside restaurants!

--Hiking –
Enjoy the fresh air and abundant trails! The Poconos offers hiking experiences for those with any level of fitness or ability, from a short stroll around Weiser State Forest (tucked 100% within our community, only 5 mins away from the house!), a lovely lake (nearby Austin T. Blakeslee Natural Area is a short drive) to a more rugged trail at nearby Tank Hollow or Hickory Run State Park. And many more that you can discover on the very thorough AllTrails app!

We highly recommend spending a day exploring Hickory Run State Park, which offers a lovely lake with a sandy beach and the unique Boulder Field.

--Rafting
The Poconos is well-known for its world class whitewater! Enjoy dam-release weekends on the Lehigh River for extra thrills, or choose a calmer rafting experience that's fine for family members ages 4 to 94.

--Shopping
Have a rainy day? No worries! The Crossings Premium Outlets is only 25 minutes away in Tannersville. Or wander around the charming Poconos' towns of Jim Thorpe or Stroudsburg. Kids love the Electric City Aquarium in Scranton, an easy 40 minutes away.
