Location (15 minute walk from the bus terminal), price, staff, safe.
Mosquitoes. Wifi in common area only. Some of the longer staying people working for the hostel were kind of lost.

Staff friendly and helpful. Good location 10 minutes walk from ferry. Quite pricey for a dorm bed.

They charged me 20€ extra for arriving at "late" at 20:10h while having informed me about the subcharge only the same day at 9am via e-mail when it was impossible for me to change neither my flight, nor cancel the reservation (non-refundable the same day).
I asked to speak with the manager but the lady at the reception speaks no English, so nothing was possible.
It's a trap, 60€ for a dorm/night, imagine...
They make you do the bed yourself, the hostel property is not clean, very unfriendly staff.
There is no soap, no ventilation in the bathroom and due to no AC, it's 30C in the room.
Stay away!!!

Guy made free dinner for the guests which was absolutely delicious.
the girl at the reception wasn‘t too friendly and didn‘t bother to speak English, even though my French clearly wasn‘t good enough to understand her. The rooms are very basic, with no AC but at least a fan and the bathrooms could use an update. Generally speaking it lacked all the things that make a great hostel such as lockers, additional hooks & power outlets, individual bedlamps, etc. no TLC whatsoever…

Worst experience ever in a hostel. The room wasn't ready for us, it was dirty, with the old dirty linen on the bed, empty bottles from previous guests, trash in the bathroom. No serious solution at all was proposed to fix that mess. The lady at the reception was at her 1st day of job, she called her responsible but at the end of the day, nobody did anything. We stayed in the dirty room after waiting aImost 2 hours for them to find a solution. It is also quite expensive compared to other hostels. I wouldn't recommend this hostel to anyone.

No breakfast/dinner available but a bakery and a grocery were available and were located a few meters from the hostel. Cooking facilities on the spot.
Walking distance to the MemorialAct!

It is very close to Place de la Victoire. The staff is very helpful.
The internet was not available in the rooms. You could only get wifi on the terrace level. The electric outlets in the room were very few and were only convenient for people located on the upper bunk bed. There's no elevator so be ready to carry your luggage up the stairs when you arrive.

There was not even ONE thing I liked about the property: dirty, dodgy area, cockroaches everywhere, no privacy and no air conditioning in the room.
Worst hostel I have stayed at in two years travelling the world to over 50 countries and all the 7 continents. First of all, the pictures speak alone. I had to kill this cockroach while I was showering. A shower room where both male and females have to share space with a curtain that leave no privacy at all. Secondly, the other pictures is a photo of my pillow that was given by staff upon arrival - completely disgusting. Casually the night I stayed at the aircon were not working. So imagine 10 people in a packed room all trying to sleep in the heat of the Caribbean night without aircon. Finally, although the hostel is located downtown, the area is super dodgy at night and I wouldn’t wonder anywhere past 5pm. There is definitely some strange people and few homeless that call the street home. I would have rather spent few more bucks and sleep somewhere else. Absolutely will not recommend this to anyone - not even my worst enemy.

The style of the place is amazing. Art, cool industrial vibes, beautiful garden. It's an amazing space to be in. Nice kitchen to cook in, lots of places to hang back.
I had limited interaction as my French is not so good. It was hard to blend in as almost everybody spoke French fluently. The hosts were also very to the point, but wouldn't take time to talk to you about fun things to do, nice hikes, etc. Especially for the non-French this would've been nice.

The staff was friendly and helpful, terrace and kitchen were nice.
The room and bathroom were setup in the cheapest possible way which wasn't reflected by the price per night. There were no lockers.
Check in after 7pm costs extra but flights and ferries often arrive later than that.
Lacking alternatives I'd stay there again, but for what's offered it's not worth what you pay.

We liked the style and the vibe in the hostel a lot
We stayed in a private room on the floor, where you find the reception and general chillout area for everyone. I know it’s a hostel - but loud music/party, screaming and dancing was not really helping to have a rest and peaceful stay..when you 80€ a night you would like to sleep well..

i like the fact that they opened the door for me when taxi driver sort of dumped me. after landing around 7/8ish pm so that ii connect next flight at 930 am.
after they open door, this hotel is near airport, backpacker type, fair n fine, was told u pay late check in fee. i told them sorry didnt see, had i seen would not have come bcz im only sleeping 5hrs until i leave at 5am. the flight landed 20;05 and im sure hotels near airport knw that pax will come for connections next day, how is it late check in when u are positioned at airport. found it crazy. by the time i got bags, n taxi thats an hour and half later. anyway slept, but God willing, not again

Noisy doors and bright light at the aisle lighting to dorm room at night.

Friendly Stuff, I had to book aditional nights, no problems with that. Thanks again.

Good localization near to city center. Possibility to store luggage and stay at the property after check out waiting for late hour flight.
Paying EUR 20 for late check out although such information is not available on booking.com but only when you arrive to the Green Hostel. The staff told us that we either pay for late check out or we can go and look for another place to sleep :(

nothing
it smelled funny, shower was limited to 3 minutes written on paper, beds were not made, no air conditioning, room extremely hot, lots of mosquitoes and small cockroaches, it was the most horrific experience ever for us

The hostel is a very nice and artsy place. The facilities that you'd expect from a hostel are all there.
For people not connected to arts it may be a little too artsy. I'm not super artsy, so for me it was a little too much like an abandoned house full of paitings, etc.

I had booked a single room and even had my own large balkony with a view to the bay and the museum Memorial ACte. But also the public areas of the hostel are very beautiful: a library where you can sit and read, a large terrace with many plants etc. A lot more comfort that you would expect from a hostel.

The room was a little messy (the trashcan in the room was full of trash, no soap). It was quite hard to check in and out, we did not get any info about checkin in and out. The front desk was closed when we arrived around 7pm, but luckily there was someone having a dinner who worked there. We don't speak French so it was hard to communicate, luckily there was a guest who spoke English and French so we got help from her. It was also confusing to check out - we left before the front desk opened so did not know where to leave the key.
All in all it was okay experience. You guys should just add some info about check in and check out and make sure the rooms is properly cleaned. Otherwise it's very unique and nice place. Worked for us nicely for 1 night stay.

Everything! The ambiance, the location, the staff, the art, everything was great.

The room was clean and they have a nice little garden
Arrived during the inauguration party (despite them being open for a while)
Couldnt figure out where to go and who to talk to as there was a lot of people and no proper lobby
Was told to wait and ended up waiting 45minutes with no communication and all tired
I was on transit in Guadeloupe and needed to rest before my connecting flight but the party went beyond midnight and it was impossible to sleep
