Everyone staying there was attending my brother's wedding so it was especially fun. It was cool, clean. and mostly quiet. Unfortunately, my room was next to the kitchen, but its location on the first floor was helpful for moving suitcase.

Great location felt like I was at home. Excellent staff.

We loved the home in so many ways! It was beautifully furnished and perfectly located!
But the hot water took so long to come to the showers that my son and his family thought there was no hot water and did not shower, which was a bit uncomfortable for them. You might put up signs that say the hot water takes a long time to get to the showers. THanks!

Staying at a historic house made the trip worthwhile
All positive

Great host and property. Wonderful location that was within walking distance to most things we were wanting to do. We will stay again I’m sure.
No issues

I love the architecture of the house and the cozy 1800 decor. It was very quiet inside and outside. It was perfect for our anniversary getaway! The interior is classy and clean, the kitchen is everything and the outside is just as gorgeous!
I didn’t run into any problems with anything. The location was convenient to every venue/restaurant we visited.
4.8
location. Easy check in
Lovely kitchen area.
No host there to greet you or available to ask questions.
Would’ve been nice to have a light continental breakfast .

Great location in Galveston and a great old historical house. Loved the easy check in/out and Shannon was great with communication. The kitchen was beautiful and loved the balcony.
The room was a bit warm even though I adjusted the thermostat repeatedly. Also, the batteries in the TV remote were dead. Not that big of a deal, I wasn't there to watch TV but I do like to watch TV while I'm winding down for the night.

The house was gorgeous. Perfect location and the room was awesome.

The house was so clean and refreshing! It’s just a little walk (2 blocks) from the Strand and just a minute drive to the seawall. It was the perfect location for our stay! The house was so clean and the instructions we received prior to our stay were clear and concise! We will definitely be back the next time we visit the island!!!
Absolutely nothing!

Beautiful architecture. Lovely neighborhood. Convenient location to the Strand and harbor attractions.
No chair in room nor luggage table/shelf. TV channel list in room would have been helpful.

Great location and beautifully maintained property. The hosts and staff were extraordinarily helpful. It is a step back in time and a walkable distance to restaurants, shopping and attractions. I will definitely return.
Nothing, all was excellent.

The service and communication was fantastic.
The beds are on the firmer side which was an adjustment for me.

I thought I was going to pay $185 a night. Cost much more. $575 for 2 nights
I loved the room where you can open and it is a door that goes out to porch.
I heard bumping noises the second night like in the attic.

We always have breakfast at the gumbo diner but this trip we also went to millers for breakfast so there’s a couple references last time we stayed in a room up stairs I think I liked the layout of that room more than the Paris room but both are very nice and clean also the communication is great with staff and they always have coffee for you which I love the window that opens is nice and the deck or porch is a great spot to chill read the word and drink some coffee we will be back
The window downstairs did not slide up it might be that it is a lower level room and you can just walk out so they keep locked but the window has a lock as well so I’m not sure if it was stuck or just made to be like that but it would have been nice to be able to open it in the morning and evening

Everything was superb!
The bed could have been more comfortable. But it wasn't bad.

House very tastefully furnished.
Just wish the shower curtain was translucent, and there were reading lamps on the end tables.

Very clean and quiet.

Location is so handy we will stay here again. Can we bring bikes and store them somewhere?

We really liked the room and the new kitchen is beautiful.
We didn't like that the heater stayed on the whole time, even when we brought the temp down. Also, didn't like that the hallway light seeps thru the door cracks all night.

Beautiful house and will be back again. I would like to come back with my family and rent the entire house before we cruise. The neighborhood is so gorgeous and we enjoyed just walking around and viewing the architecture. Thanks for an amazing stay!

We enjoyed the ambience of this beautiful Victorian home. it has been restored well and beautifully taken care of. We arrived a bit early and loved talking to Shannon about the home. The stained glass window and the cozy bedding were my favorite. They had a fan in the closet which was nice to use in the evening. We didn’t hear any guests and felt like we had the whole floor to ourselves.
The steep stairs when you’re old and tired from all the day of walking we had. It honestly wasn’t that bad but would’ve preferred someone to carry me up to my bed.

Gorgeous historic property close to the Strand and beach with lovely, well kept rooms!

particularly liked the lounge and kitchen facilities-so nice to be able to help ourselves to tea and coffee and to have the option of self catering in the well equipped kitchen.
Lovely quiet Road, well placed to walk to port and centre.

Beautiful old home was comfy and spotless. Bed and linens were great. Location is fantastic. We walked to dinner Friday and a wedding venue on Saturday!
Only that we moved a bed side table into the bathroom to have something to put our overnight bags on. Otherwise everything was wonderful!

there wasn’t anything I didn’t like

Excellent location and very comfortable room. Wonderful balcony. The host Shannon was marvelous and very accommodating. She sent us a PDF of Galveston attractions that was really helpful! Were able to park right in front of the house.
I would have liked a history of the house. Another chair for our balcony would have been nice as we had 3 in our party.
