Very easy process and good location to enjoy Del Mar and LaJolla

This home is “stunning” & is located in a secluded area yet, easy to get to popular sights. We booked it for 1 week during the Christmas/New Year holidays. Unfortunately, we only were there for 3 days instead of 7 due to airline problems. We appreciated the welcome guide Lily provided prior to our arrival. While the cost was higher than other VRBO homes we found, it had amenities we were looking for such as, a private pool, hot tub & an entertainment room with a large screen TV that we knew would be used frequently with the kids & the Bowl games. Sadly we encountered a number of issues during our stay which in our opinion is due to Lily being new to VRBO. The first was a note asking us to not wear shoes in the house. The house has cold, hard tile floors. The younger family members complied with the rule. My husband & I were uncomfortably cold & our backs hurt so we cleaned our shoes the best we could. Thankfully, Lily understood. Had we seen this rule on the website we would have continued our search. Second, when renting one expects an immaculate home. Upon entering the kitchen we were surprised that we had to put away clean dishes that were left on the counter in a dish rack. We understand last minute clean up but, the dishes should have been dried & put away. I contacted Lily because we couldn’t get the sound to work on the projection TV. And, we were unable to pull up any of the stations on the Spectrum account in the family room. After texting we discovered that the speakers on the projection TV “died” & she was waiting for parts. Why were we not informed of this prior to our arrival? Lily tried to help with the family room TV then suggested we contact Isaac. We only had 3 days, who wants to wait even ½ hour for help? Fortunately, I was able to sign into my streaming account & we were able to watch TV. One guest room had a bathroom window that faced the street & didn’t have a curtain. There was a curtain rod so why no curtain? She offered to order a curtain but it was senseless. We placed a towel over the rod. Our granddaughter wanted to take a bath. All the drain stoppers in the master bath were broken but, we were able to plug the tub. We ran the jets & immediately knew it was a bad idea. Black debris shot out of the jets. Disgusting! We have rented through VRBO, etc. Most home owners/rental companies ensure the home is pristine for their guests. This wasn’t the case in San Diego & all issues could have been avoided.

Our family of 7 spent 6 wonderful days relaxing at this beautiful home and enjoying all the local area had to offer. We will definitely stay again if the opportunity presents itself.
