Stayed more than 20 guest houses this is my worst experience

The key chain was broken. No water or napkins on the breakfast table plus nobody so that you can ask…2 bath towels for 4 people. Television is not working. I found some medicines, stickers of old guests under the bed.

Our time in Amiens was enhanced by staying at The Gem. Highly recommend Amiens and The Gem.

Close to restaurants, tourist sights.room very private. Estelle was knowledgeable and made good suggestions about what to see and where to eating

Exceptional

Beautiful hotel in an excellent location. We had the family suite on the top floor which was perfect. The beds were very comfortable and it was beautifully furnished. The breakfast was delicious. Very quiet and comfortable. We will definitely be back!

We enjoyed Amiens and all slept well in comfortable beds.

It was a good location; a pretty and interesting historic building. I would have liked to know a bit more about it.

We were the only guests and it felt as though there had not been guests for a while. We were expecting a bit more of a guest house experience but it felt more like being an uninvited guest in someone else’s house. I would have felt more comfortable with off-street or secure parking. Breakfast was a bit disappointing.

An awesome place, really comfortable and the family are so friendly and really made our stay!

The family that run the hotel are so welcoming, friendly and helpful, the location is great and the facilities are amazing. The rooms are large and spacious and the beds are huge, and so comfortable.

Fantastic value for a stay in Amiens

The Gem is ideally located for a few days in Amiens, the heart of the city centre is all within easy walking distance. We didn't need the car during our stay so having free parking at the end of the road was really helpful. Recommendations for dinner options were spot-on and really good bread, croissants, coffee and juice for breakfast. The room was spacious, comfortable and peaceful. This was a much better option than similarly priced chain hotels.

2nd Worst experience ever

The fresh drinks when we arrived. The porch where de can lay our bikes. The fast payment just in case you intend to run away.

A room with such high fare you could expect, windows that you can open. That's not the case. Location of the dwelling is near some old garage that make me feel in an horror movie. But the worst thing i ever face is that the host didn't spend time to say goodbye. It was fast to pay when you arrive, then you can dissapear. A poor dog that bark on you when you wake up make me nervous. I was scare to wake up the other guest. Master was not eager to stop the barking. An expensive stay with a poor experience. Not to be recommended, and i have done more than 100 b&b in m'y life, with such fare and far more better welcome and goodbye.
