Lovely quiet downtown Portland Hotel.

Super friendly staff, cool room, awesome bathtub, great location. Appreciated the snack credits for our flight home.

Had to check out at 1 am because the voices from the room next to us were too loud to get to sleep. Nobody answered the front desk when I called to alert them 2 timed. So we just left.

Our room was not ready at the expected time after our check in. Instead of offering an apology or accommodation of another type, the front receptionist just said “yeah…we’re just really busy.” They made it seem like it was our fault for trying to check in on time. Finally, once our room was ready, it smelled unpleasant and frankly wasn’t all that nice for a $400 night suite. Lighting was also very bad - felt more like a sex dungeon/diddy party instead of a cool electric hotel. I say skip the Kimpton if you’re staying in downtown Portland and looking for cool and mild luxury. Ritz wouldve been a better choice.

My stay was for the most part excellent. If there was anything to complain about, it would be not knowing clearly when check out time was and not knowing what services were available to me. Some important details about my visit were not explained to me and had to call the desk several times about my questions. But would definitely stay there again and would highly suggest others to do the same. One of the best properties to stay while visiting PDX!

Oliver at the front desk was FANTASTIC. We left our Kindle in the room and the staff was so quick in helping us find it and ship it back to us.

Hotel very nice. Wanted to stay in area close to the Pioneer Courthouse since we were going to a concert and this was walking distance. What was sad was downtown Portland is very scary. A LOT of homeless people! Felt I could easily be mugged. Also not many eating venues in area.

Not as advertised, pics for the room didn’t match. Bathroom shower had no water pressure and lost hot water in ~15 minutes, so we’d have to wait. No housekeeping, had to ask twice for fresh towels in one day. Once we finally got turndown service it was surface level, somehow they broke a glass (don’t even know how, the two we were using were still there, dirty, when we came back) that I ended up stepping on. Old room, rude staff. I travel tons for work, never been to a Kimpton, now I know I’m better off for it!

Great hotel. Really helpful staff. Walked into wine hour. Lovely lounge / bar. Big room. Wine themed. What’s not to love?

We liked how secure the property is. You need a key card to access the building. The valet service was very prompt and professional. We can’t wait to come back. El Gaucho’s is right across the street and we had the best steak dinner there.

The room was extremely hot and small. The air unit in our room didn’t work and we couldn’t open a window so we roasted. The staff gave us a box fan, which was nice, but not the experience we were looking for on vacation.

Great 1-night stay with dogs. Quiet, cool, clean on a hot summer day. Great walkable location with parking garage across the street which beats the valet price if that’s your thing

A lot of positives with one big negative. Positives: nice building, free lemonade and iced tea, free happy hour, good location near restaurants, shopping and transit. Negative: maid did not come once over a 5 day stay. Asked for fresh towels twice at the desk and never got them. It was very weird.

Everything about this hotel was excellent! My teenage son and I stayed here for our first night we arrived in Portland and came back to stay a second time! My son loved the game room where we played pool in the evening while I enjoyed a perfect margarita from the bar. Every staff member we encountered was super friendly and polite. Eric was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious, clean and we both loved and appreciated all the interesting artwork. The soap and shampoo smelled wonderful as well. There was even an amazing coffee shop across the street with fabulous espresso drinks and bakery items. We parked in the garage across the street which was very safe and clean as well. I wish we had planned on spending more time in Portland so that we could stay here for more than two night, that is how comfortable and special this hotel is! I hope to return again.

I booked a room with two bed. When I got there they didn't have a room with two bed.

The hotel is very pretty, has lots of abstract art, a beautiful stairwell, nice staff, valet parking for $55/night. The only thing they could use is a pool or hot tub!

Very nice hotel, especially for the price! Rooms are comfortable and have been thoughtfully renovated. Staff is super friendly and helpful. The food at the in-house restaurant is seriously SO good! There’s a nice little bar and a fun game room that’s open until 11pm. It’s very hip, as you’d expect from a Portland boutique-like hotel. Great location downtown Portland, walkable to shopping and restaurants. However it’s fairly sketchy, especially after dark, so keep that in mind.

Hotel was odd. Large room but dingy- felt like an old studio apartment with no kitchen. Was disappointed in the bikes - they only had men sizes which were way too big for a small framed woman and they are only 1 speed so not great for long trips. Wine happy hour was nice. Did not care for perfumed lobby. Lighting was disorganized and one TV didn’t work properly.

Check in was terrible. Came early and all information was taken stored our luggage and returned at 2:55. Couldn’t get a room based on category of room. Waited until 3:25 with demanding a roombefore we

Customer service was excellent - they go the extra mile to help. Love the staff. Especially the night staff.

Area was perfect, we walked everywhere and felt safe. Room was beautifully decorated, very spacious. Bathroom is huge, the sink area was lacking space for toiletries but there was another area with a shelf and mirror but the lighting in that area was poor. There was plenty of room fir 2 girls to get ready in the sleeping area so it wasn't a big deal. Afternoon wine social was nice. Fresh water and tea available in lobby. Free bike to use. Overall we were very happy w the facilities
