Shower did not have hot water. Shower control loose and fell off. We checked in late night and got up at 7am and couldn’t shower. Charged for breakfast even though Honors member.

Very nice hotel, however, customer service was possibly the worst I have ever experienced.
1) My gf and I checked in around 6:30am and intended to stay the day, get some rest, and do some work while on a business trip. Around 9, we were woken up by terribly load construction noise from the floor directly above us. Called the front desk to see if we could be moved somewhere else that was not so noisy. Was told the noise could be heard everywhere in the building and another room was not available. Was impossible to sleep or work, so called again, this time talking to the day shift manager. She said she'd walk around and see what the noise sounded like elsewhere. She called back and said she could hear the noise everywhere, but they finally agreed to move us to a new room. As soon as we got there, it there was no noise to be heard. Took them about three hours to move us to a different room.
2) A couple hours into being in the new room, it was apparent that the A/C was broken. Called the front desk, said engineering would be right up. Took them an hour to arrive. Asked for a different room and was given an upgrade.
3) My gf realized she'd left her makeup bag in one of the rooms. Called the front desk, said they'd look into it. Came downstairs half an hour later and they had not yet checked with housekeeping. Said they'd call us as soon as they found it. As of the time of this review it has been over 7 hours since then and they have not called back or offered compensation.

The restaurant and bar were great. We loved walking around the boardwalk area at night.

I was disappointed with the cleanliness and with the toiletries in the bathroom. They were completely empty on shower gel, when I called down I was assured that I would get them soon, 45 mins later called the front desk because I was running late to my own birthday dinner. The front desk personnel was amazing and the young lady came running up at that point to bring it to me. It was clear that they were understaffed, the evidence was clear from the water bottles handed to us upon check in to the delay with housekeeping, to the emails I received even before check in about having to request housekeeping service upon check in. Hilton, really, you have enough money to ensure you do better. What am I paying for? As much traveling as I do, I know what quality service is. I checked out 2 days early, staying only 1 day instead of 3. I work too hard, not to feel like I am away, when I am away.

The hotel is nice over all but our stay was horrible, unable to accommodate even a few minutes early of check in and that’s not so bad but then we get woken up at 2:30am by an emergency alarm and we are evacuated from the hotel, everyone was very confused and no hotel staff could be found, no explanation, no direction, myself, my husband and our daughter had to hike up the hill around to the front of the hotel along with several other guests to figure out what was going on and what we should do. After we finally get back in and go back to sleep, housekeeping decided to barge into our room 3 hours before checkout. The beds are rock hard…. Bathroom is tiny as can be….So my advice as someone who has stayed at more hotels than I can count…. Just pick somewhere else.

I stayed in the VIp suite that was $400 a night and had a hot tub that was the selling point for me. We were unable to check in until around 530 because the room wasn’t clean. Once inside the room to unload our luggage we noticed hair grease on the headboard and there was mold on the top and bottom of the shower. I then tried to turn on the hot tub and the odor of raw sewage quickly came out so I turned it off. after that we tried to use the sink on the left but we couldn’t use it long because as soon as you would turn it on it would start coming out the drain and filling up the right sink.

Felt like I paid too much for the quality of this hotel. The guests next to me were loud and unruly and woke up several people at 3 am! Yes, they were removed from the hotel but still. Additionally, my room had a pest problem. I won’t be staying at another Hilton again.

This property was centrally located near all of the places that I had to visit while in Charlotte. There were lots of shopping and dining venues that were within walking distance. The hotel was clean, the rooms were nice, the staff was great! Next time I visit Charlotte, I will definitely book this hotel again.

This was one of the worst hotel stays I have ever had.
I travel frequently and have never given a bad review.
I had to change rooms a total of 3 times due to the first 2 rooms assigned to me having large amounts of mold in the bathroom. The first night we went to 3 different floors to get water from a vending machine and none of the machines were working so ended up going to the front desk to ask what was going on and was provided with 2 bottled waters. The 3rd room change the day before my departure was due to the loud banging on the floor above for hours (was told due to hotel construction) on a Sunday at 3pm. The 3rd room which the front desk said they checked before we went in there had BROKEN door lock on the inside! NO attention to details.
The only person that showed any concern for our terrible experience was a front desk associate that apologized and offered 1 complimentary breakfast the day we left. No manager every followed up.
Poor customer service, run down hotel, noisy.
Not the typical service I am used to from a Hilton Hotel.
As a courtesy every guest should be made aware of the loud noise throughout the hotel due to construction before they book and upon check in.

It needs updating. Service could be better. Great bartender (I forgot his name). Middle of the night noise disturbances from other guests that woke me up. Likely wouldn’t stay here again.

The hotel was very clean and eco-friendly.

Room was not ready for us well after checkin time. There was no effort to make up for our lost time. We had an event to get to so the delayed check in was disappointing.

Would have been nice to know the hotel was under construction prior to check in. I understand that construction and remodeling will happen but maybe dont put people in rooms next to the construction area. Just loved the 7am saws running. Besides that hotel was ok, not sure I would pay the amount I did to stay there again.

While the view and the room were beautiful, upon booking we were not informed of the construction taking place. Friday morning we were woken up to loud banging and drilling. By Friday evening there was a strong chemical smell in our room. It may have been paint. Also during check in the gentleman barely spoke and did not bother to explain my rate or anything, turns out I was overcharged $60 with no explanation at the time.

Nice property, some staff at the front desk rude. Need better customers service. My door had to be slam to close. Nice outside area. The food is pretty good

We enjoyed our stay. The location was ideal for our visit to UNC Charlotte. We loved the boardwalk and nearby shops and restaurants. The fitness center had enough so we didn’t have to visit the nearby YMCA.

I have been coming to visit my daughter in Charlotte and this has been the perfect location, close to my daughter, easy access to the interstate and a lovely place to stay. The amenities are great and it is well within my budget. This will be where I stay when I visit again!

We stayed two nights to attend a event at a local venue. We picked this hotel so it would be quiet. My husband works 3rd shift so keeping his schedule is important. First night was great. Service and dining staff was was incredible. First night was flawless. Day two was a different story. Woke up and the entire 3rd floor reeked of weed. We had random people playing dig ding ditch on our door. So much so we decided to leave an entire night early. We told hotel reception but she didn't seen too concerned. Just notified us that she'd tell the property manager.
I never felt more like a Karen. Ugh, I just wanted to nap and not get a contact high.

It was an excellent experience.

I had to change rooms because the entire floor and my room had a stale and sour smell. The front desk attendant acted as if I was personally inconveniencing him and insisted that I bring the key back from the first room before I moved myself to the next room. He didn’t offer any assistance. The second room had a door that stuck and rather than trying to navigate his dismissive attitude again, I stayed. Not sure I’ll go back.

Checked in Thursday and had no housekeeping service until I personally spoke to housekeeping in the hallway on Sunday. At that time, stained sheets were placed on bed. Zero cleaning done. They left wet washcloths in shower and trash in trashcans.
Despite numerous requests to different personnel, we received no other housekeeping service through the stay. We were supposed to check out Thursday but I couldn’t take it anymore so we left the pre-paid stay a full day early and too the loss.
I did speak to the general manager before I left and he was gracious enough to issue points for a future Hilton stay.
This hotel was always my favorite until this and the last visit where it was obvious service is no longer a priority.

Great hotel! My friend and I stayed here on August 10th as we were attending a concert at the nearby PNC Arena. We were very pleasantly surprised by how nice it was (nice room, good beds, pleasant surroundings, very quiet), but we were even more impressed with the super nice service staff. Every employee with whom we came in contact was just genuinely nice and friendly. We liked it so much we went ahead and made a reservation for another trip we’re planning to Charlotte next month. Oh! And it’s only about a 10 minute easy drive to the PNC Arena (which, incidentally, we also enjoyed very much! Charlotte seems to be full of nice, friendly, helpful people!)
