Good location in Salamanca. A busy hotel.

Very nice hotel in a nice upscale area of Madrid. The cheapest room probably only has a window that shows the interior of the hotel. No balcony or outside view

Arrived slightly earlier than check in and went to “The Level”, for a supposed more luxurious experience. Everything started well, left my bags there when I checked in and they said they’ll call me when my room is my ready. Was called an hour later and accessed my room only to see it was not the room type I had booked but the lower value room. I went back up to the level to show my dissatisfaction and was first told that “it was the room type I paid for”. I showed pictures and their own websites description of what the room type I paid for stated and the description the lesser value room showed. I was met with an attitude from the so called manager of the level who kept telling me that I was wrong.
Then all of a sudden the statement later changed saying “you asked for a room earlier so we gave you this one as it was available now”. At no point did I request a room earlier. All I said was that if the room was available earlier to just let me know and that would be great. I was in no rush and at no point asked for a room quickly. At that point between the two members of staff, I was made to feel like I was some argumentative and complicated person when all I wanted was what I paid for.
I was then offered another room and then told “wait this one is not available now” and then got offered another one…. One that matched the specifications of the room I paid for. I stated then and state again, I appreciate that every room is different within a category, but it should at least me

It was a very good stay. The place is central and provides easy access to other parts of the time.

The hotel is lovely - the reception and bar and very nicely presented. My room was quite small for the price though - and it also had frosted out windows which made it a bit claustrophobic - it was nice - but I wouldn't have wanted to be staying for a long time without actual daylight. I think the price is a lot for the rooms offered.

Everything was good except that we were promised two queen beds but only got one queen bed and a pullout couch. The couch was not what we paid for. It was also terribly uncomfortable.

Good experience overall. Amazing breakfast buffet and.nice hotel foyer. Great location for shopping and quite quick walk or transport into centre / old town. Very slow check-in and check-out process. Not the quietest hotel - noisy self-closing doors on all rooms means noise of slamming doors starts early and goes on a long time.

This was our 3rd Melia-branded hotel on our 16 day tour of Portugal & Spain and the beds were all hard as stone and felt extremely cheap! The hotels were selected by our tour company, but we would never stay at a Melia-branded hotel on our own because of the rock hard beds. This hotel was very dysfunctional in its layout with the bar at the front door and the front desk off to the side with elevators hidden in a narrow hallway. Even the room floors were dysfunctional in their lack of directional signage and odd corridors. The only thing this Melia Hotel had that the other two didn’t was a coffee maker in the room. The A/C was okay but did very little to dehumidify the room, so it always felt like a “damp” cold that made both of us sick after three nights. Even the layout of the breakfast buffet felt very dysfunctional, although they did offer a nice selection of items. They did not have a laundry facility or offer laundry service and when my wife asked about a nearby laundry, they said we had to go to Old Town! Imagine our surprise when we found a small self-serve laundry about 3 blocks from the hotel. It seems to me that they should know what’s on their neighborhood that might help their customers.

Stayed for 2 nights with my family - 2 kids age 6 and 1 year. Highly recommend staying here. The room was comfortable and clean, with a great crib for our baby. We were in level which came in handy for breakfast as it lasts till 11am and worked well for us as we recovered from jet lag. Safe and clean area around hotel. Ate dinner at the restaurant and it was excellent, Sarai was a wonderful server. We'll stay here again when in Madrid.
