First I have to say the staff was great. I had a king oceanfront just as booked. The down for me was the bathroom. It was quite small. Barely enough room for one person to spread out their stuff, glad I was traveling alone. The toilet rocked when you'd sit on it. The room was clean, but seemed old. The best part was the big screen TV with some internet TV options. It's definitely not a 4 star to me more like a 3.5 star.

Loved the location! Front desk staff was helpful. Checked in super late. When I booked on the hotels.com it gave me the option to add breakfast for $5. Cheaper to do it that way than paying at the hotel. Breakfast was decent but convenient to be right there in the lobby

My husband has been coming to this hotel at least once a year for over 17 years, and it's always been his favorite spot in Atlantic Beach. While the staff remains great—polite, professional, and welcoming—unfortunately, we've noticed the hotel is becoming quite run down. The room we stayed in had a strong moldy smell that gave us a headache, and we even had to kill a roach in the bathroom on our first night. For the price, we expect a certain level of cleanliness and quality from a DoubleTree Hilton, which just wasn't there this time. We hope this place can be revamped soon because it's always held a special place in our hearts.

This hotel is beachfront and super convenient. The room was clean and comfortable. The pools were nice to use, a little small and dated but glad to have them. The beach was great, but bring your own chairs and umbrellas. Wish I had brought my dogs - this hotel seems very dog friendly.

There was ample parking, spacious lobby, easy access to amenities, pier and right on the beach. The restaurant was very convenient and there were swim options with the in and outdoor pools. The room with a partial view of the ocean was great. The drawbacks: there wasn’t much of a balcony for that room and a large roach made an appearance (it was taken care of by maintenance who also sprayed). Overall, I would stay there again.

Does not come close to the DoubleTree reputation and quality. Room was dingy and smelled bad. During the night the central air conditioning was blowing out a sewage or dog feces smell - had to turn it off and open the balcony door for the night. Had planned to run on the beach at sunrise but ended up just checking out to get out as fast as possible.

Just a mean men working on the front desk. He was actually very nice with the person in front of me, explaining her everything that she needed to know about the place snd telling her they could leave the room an hour later than what it should be. And when it was my turn he acted very rude I think you should use the same courtesy with all guests!

When we went to our car to go home, the battery was dead..couldn’t get in..the two maintenance men came and were so helpful..they went above and beyond to get our car fixed..warm cookies are always delicious.

Bed was super comfy. Staff was very nice and helpful. Only downside was ALL the dogs!!! I guess that every room is pet friendly and leave my doggo with family when I travel. There were pet stains on the carpet otherwise the room was clean just a bit of dog smell at first. One concern is that the property is accessible and used by many people that aren’t staying there. No parking passes needed and folks just walk up and jump in the pool. It’s was clean and comfortable.

I really liked how self contained the property is. The beach, a pier, a snack shop/bar (Molly's), a pool, and a restaurant are all amenities. It is close by to attractions like Fort Macon and the Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores. It was a wonderful weekend getaway!

Great location needs some major remodel work. We were there when a big storm came in which we love BUT the windows and sliding doors whistled SO loud tou couldnt sleep. And the balcony railings were pretty loud too shaking in the wind. AC was also loud so good luck sleeping. With some renovations it could be a great place like it used to be
