I thought parking was included but instead I had to pay extra. Nice hotel, nice staff and the location is great.

We've stayed here many times and always enjoy our stay. Beautiful location on the water and several great restaurants nearby.

Rad spot In Oakland good food and drink in the area!

I arrived to check-in approx 5pm after the stated 4pm check-in time. I was told that housekeeping was behind and the room wouldn't be ready for a couple of hours and the front desk suggested that I go out and have dinner. I came back at approc 7.30pm and was told the room wouldn't be ready until sometime after 10pm. I asked them for a more specific time and they didn't know and one staff said it might be closer to midnight and I could wait in the lobby area. They told me I could check into another hotel and they would walk me there. I said this wasn't acceptable. At approx 11.30pm a large group of airline staff checked in and were given rooms. I had to stand at the desk and until they finally found an available room. The room itself was a bit worn (carpet stains and scuffed walls). The location is good, but wouldn't recommend a stay there.

Check in was awful! Arrived at 10 pm, and our room was not ready! We had to wait for a half hour for them to clean the room and then the front desk personnel made us feel like we were lucky because the maids put our room before a few others. What if we e had arrived for 4 pm check-in!!??
Other than that, it was a decent stay, and we were grateful for the short walking distance to the Oakland-Alameda-SF ferry.
4.3
The room was very clean albeit a bit noisy. Kind of weird having only one small window that looked directly at the balcony of the room next door so we couldn't even open the drapes. It was fine for one night though.
4.3
Wouldnt walk too far at night but good transportation options. Quiet during the night. Wondrrful deck on the water and good coffee.
4.3
We love this place, our favorite place to stay in Oakland. Waterfront in Jack London Square. Expensive to park though
4.3
Overall good experience. I was in town to watch the Mariners play their final series in Oakland.
The hotel was a great location. 10 minute drive from stadium, 15 minute drive to airport and the ferry into San Francisco was next door to the hotel.
Pros: location, pool was nice, several restaurants within walking distance, great views of the marina.
Cons: $40 a night for parking, no in room coffee and not a lot of options close by.
Overall it was great and would not hesitate to recommend to others.

The Hyatt is pinching their pennies with this property. The property needs a lot of love! The staff was attentive and invested in providing good service. But, the physical plant left a lot to be desired.

I was worried because I’ve heard how bad Oakland has gotten . We booked the room with balcony overlooking the marina and I would go many times over. There was easy access to restaurants, ice cream and a cool little place called the Fat Lady. My favorite part was sitting on the balcony. We walked to get ice cream after 10 pm and we felt safe in the area and staff were very nice . The hotel is dated but nice, and honestly , the view made you forget about it. I would 100% recommend!

The check in process was fraught with issues and multiple attempts to get my credit card in their system. The hotel advertises a coffee cafe, but it no longer exists. No notice, and it felt deceptive as it shows it is available on their website, internal literature and on the TV info. Pool condition is poor. Pool felt slimy. The valet service is poorly understaffed. I waited over a half and hour to repark my car after my first night. The hotel staff tried, but overall a very disappointing experience. I will not return to this hotel.

Nice hotel. Safe and quiet! Great waterfront view!

Everything was very nice
4.3
Good location for ferries to san Fran but surrounding area / neighbourhoods rundown and a little unsafe at night
4.3
My favorite hotel to stay at when I’m in the bay area. Right by the water with beautiful views. Right across from Yoshis live music club. Parking is a bit expensive so cheaper to Uber. Front desk service is always friendly. Rooms are maintained well. Could use a bit of a remodel, but still very comfortable. I hope that the Jack London Square area rebounds after Covid really diminished the area.
4.3
The hotel was very clean. No vending machines so that was a bummer. I like to have bottle water close by. The hotel charges $4 for a 16oz that’s in your room but it’s not cold. It may be for the little sad coffee that is “complimentary” but not really if you are being charged for the water. The location is great! So many restaurants at the Jack London square and most importantly, a coffee shop that opens at 6am!

The waterfront! The boats! The fog!
4.3
Nice stay, service was great.

Thin walls no sleep due to people next door up all night loud music
4.3
Great location for activities around Jack London Square. The room was comfortable and clean. Water view rooms are preferable.
4.3
Great location! Lots of delicious restaurants around the property. Pool was a good size!
4.3
Very nice staff, spacious rooms, good location next to the waterfront trail.

4.3
Great location great service!
4.3
Wonderful location close to restaurants and the Bay Ferry
4.3
The front desk and valet were constantly helpful: just extraordinary people.
The pool is perfect and uncrowded: super kid-friendly (we have two rambunctious and adept swimmers ages 6 & 8, and a newbie who at age 3 loved it too).
The location couldn’t be better: Jack London Square with great places to eat and explore, including inches from the ferry to SF.
Will return at a regular clip in the future!
4.3
Front desk staff was friendly, pool was in good condition with plenty of towels. Our neighbors didn’t follow the quiet hours/noise policy but we didn’t complain so not the hotels fault. All in all a great stay!
4.3
the staff were wonderful!
4.3
It was ok.
4.3
Had wonderful stay. Front staff helped us a few times with extra towels and coffee. They gave us information on ferry on times and where to catch.
4.3
Good service and beautiful place .
4.3
Everything was wonderful, especially staff. They were all very kind and accommodating. The only problem was a sewage line broke and water was cut off for 24 hrs, but that was not the hotels fault. They were very kind about the situation. Highly recommend this hotel.
4.3
