Hotel conveniently located with my restaurants and spas within walking distance.
2.0 / 10.0
My room was old and outdated with questionable design choices and drab colours, made worse with yellowish lighting that made everything look sickly and depressing. The view outside overlooking a playground was nothing to shout about either.
The property is sorely due for a refresh! Please at least make the corridors brighter, they are so dim they feel like walking through a dungeon to my doom. Not pleasant at all!
The staff tries their best to take care of the guests despite the disappointing environment but there's only so much they can do. Either renovate, or shut down the building entirely.

The Landis has been our home away from home whenever we visit Taipei. It’s at a very convenient location with lots options for food within walking distance. The hotel has an excellent restaurant with well trained staff, too.

Beautiful hotel that makes you fell in love with the art deco style, and the room is spacious and comfortable. After a day out, you’ll appreciate this hotel even more, a place to rest and enjoy….

My stay here was short but sweet with lovely, helpful staff and a luxurious room. It was a shame I had to leave so soon and had to rush breakfast as there was so much choice, even an a la carte breakfast menu in addition to the buffet. I’m not too sure how well placed the hotel was in terms of location as I got taxis mostly but the hotel is a five minute walk away or so to an underground station. The dressing gowns were amazing quality, perfect for after having a relaxing bath in the huge bathtub!

This is a small well managed hotel, the staff is super polite, kind. Unfortunately due to typhoon everything around was closed so difficult to make a realistic review.

Stay here many times, hotel is old but the people and their services are impeccable

A bit far from Taipei main station or Taipei 101. Lots of restaurant selections nearby. Hotel does not provide any amenities citing environmental concerns but you can buy their kits for a fee or from convenient stores across the street. Other than that, we had a nice stay. Bathrooms are equipped with latest model bidets - all hands free. Plenty of breakfast selections, from Taiwanese, Japanese to western. If you forget to purchase BK option with the room, it’s TW660.

Fantastic 5 star hotel that’s well located. We got a large family connecting room and enjoyed having 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a living room. Only the carpet needs replacement like other reviews have already stated. Would stay again.

To me, the Landis hotel in Taipei is excellent.
When booking online I had to make decision between Aloft or Landis.
After reading reviews, I took my chance and chose Landis. I didn’t stay at Aloft but I was very happy with my stay at Landis
The hotel is clean, convenient located.
Staff is very nice and helpful
The way the hotel is pretty classy, of course, with my standard of classiness

The room met my expectations but not so happy with breakfast. Guests were asked to choose main besides self service bar, and there was some confusion between kitchen and waiters/waitress… anyway my order finally arrived after about 20 minutes later. During the wait a couple of service people asked me if my coffee needed refill until I really made a direct complain about my order.
Too bad I loved La Brasserie…

Solid hotel, great service, super clean with amazing beds. Its decor is slightly dated but the facilities are maintained very well by a super professional team. The room are smaller but the bathroom and the rain shower is immaculate. It is a bit far from Taipei 101 and the heart of Taipei (10 minutes taxi ride). We did walk it one time which was beautiful. Tons of amazing cafes and bakeries around. 3 minute walk to the metro station.

We called the Hotel staffs several times before arrival that my wife will check in first, however, when my wife arrived, the hotel staff claimed that there was no such instruction. Of course, very soon, the other staff corrected the 1st staff. The Gym was like a temporary shelter with poor maintained equipments and air ventilation. The hotel room key sensor occurred problem in the elevator. The hair dryer needs to be replaced because its blowing air was as weak as another person blowing your air with mouth.

Rooms are not provided with any hand soap since disposable soaps are no longer permitted in the city or something per receptionist. If guests wanted a amenity bag it would costs NT$100. We were given a bag free but we really just needed the hand soap and nothing else from that bag. Hotel could at least provide refillable hand soap in each guest room to keep all common areas like elevator buttons sanitized and clean. I felt like people are not going to wash their hands thoroughly if they had to step into the shower to use the refillable shower gel.
Otherwise stay was great.

I booked this thinking it was a 5 star property. It was very old and looks like it has never been remodeled. The carpet had stains all over it in the room. The place is super old. I never really review any place, but this had to be reviewed as I feel like it is not a proper description of the hotel on the website.

We were in a connecting room for 2 nights.
Rooms were very worn out, dirty and dusty. We even found a stain of blood (looked quite fresh) on one of the bed sheet. Carpets had all kind of stains here and there. Air con vents were full of dust.
This connecting rooms had no view at all. Small windows looking at some kind of dirty back alley and windows of other rooms.
We have paid over TWD 11000 for a night. Though not a very high price but the rooms were very much below standard.
Reception staff were neither friendly nor attentive. We did get late check-out for 1 hour. But it felt like it's a very big mercy from the hotel and it's something we needed to beg for.
The only good thing from this hotel was the concierge. The staff was friendly and helpful.
We would not recommend this hotel and will never stay there again.

Very mediocre. Size is good , a little bit dated. You can tell 15 years ago it was once a nicer hotel. Anyways since it was pride week most hotels was fully booked. The gym was ok on the roof, clean . Bed was not super comfortable. But room was def spacious enough.
