As usual, the hotel staff goes above and beyond to make your stay as smooth as possible. The rooms are cozy and welcoming and dang - the bed was so comfy I recouped a nasty jetlag shock with 11h of sleep. Maybe there's better hotels in LA, who knows. But I'm not gonna budge from this one.

Great place and will stay there again. Gym is fantastic for a hotel. Mountain View room is great but only in on 8th floor or above. We were on the 5th and directly over a ventilation of the restaurant so was too noisy and smelly to enjoy with the doors open

In my opinion, this specific Sofitel has taken complete advantage of customers by using their brand name to over charge and promote their property as 4.5 star luxury hotel ( which is the case for most Sofitel locations). But this specific property is in dire need to updates and renovations. While the front entrance and main floor is very modern and updated, the rooms are so out dated and need serious renovations. I stayed in a Luxury room, and paid over 500$ a night. It is hard to understand how they call it a luxury room and take advantage of their brand, and provide a very basic outdated room. Old tiles on bathroom floor, cheap dirty wallpaper for the main walls. Walls have clear cracks and stains on wall paper. First room I was in had very stained furniture, than they moved me. No real dresser for clothes, just a few drawers. If you’re two people staying for a week, you literally have no room for clothes. I actually have no personal issue with any of these shortfalls as I’ve stayed in 3 star hotels and I’m not picky. It’s the advertising of 4.5 star luxury room for over 500$ a night plus 70$/night parking ,that is so deceiving. It Almost feels like a scam.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Sofitel LA in Beverly Hills, and I must say that the experience exceeded my expectations in every way. From the moment I arrived, the level of customer service was nothing short of exceptional. Several members of the staff went out of their way to ensure that my stay was as smooth and enjoyable as possible, accommodating all of my preferences with ease and professionalism. The hotel’s location is truly ideal, especially for those looking to explore iconic areas like Beverly Hills and West Hollywood. I initially thought I would need to rely on Uber for most of my outings, but I was pleasantly surprised by how accessible everything was. Whether you’re interested in shopping, dining, or simply exploring the city, this location puts you right in the heart of it all. While the rooms were comfortable and well-maintained, I do feel that a little updating could bring a more modern touch to the space. However, this is purely a matter of personal preference and didn’t detract from my overall experience. The bed, in particular, was incredibly comfortable—one of the best I’ve ever slept in. Although I didn’t have the chance to take full advantage of the onsite amenities, I’m confident that they are just as impressive as the room itself. If the rest of the hotel is anything like the service I received, I’m sure they are top-notch. Overall, I highly recommend Sofitel Los Angeles for anyone looking for a luxurious and convenient stay in LA.

They were very accommodating for us. My husband just had a surgery.

There was a party on 1st floor and the noise was unnaceptable. We were changed room for another room, smaller that what I have paid, and force to pack and move during the night. The clerk lied to us and told us that "we were the only one complaining" juat before he told usnthat he qoukd make the necessay to finiah the party. This location does not.care about its guest once thwy paid. Our comlaints were justified and he did not consider. We are not satisfied and won't recommend the place and come back. Sofitel is supposed to have a good reputation.

There is a 70 dollar parking fee, plus 30 dollar resort fee, the hotel is old, you hear the pipes when someone in a different room is taking a shower. Would not stay there again

Beautiful hotel. We found it to be clean, comfortable and up to date. There were plenty of hangers in closet and drawers for clothing. There was a makeup mirror and hair dryer in the bathroom. We had a lovely view of the Hollywood Hills. The bar was nice but didn't open until 5:00. The biggest negative was the $71 per night charge for parking. Overall, would stay again and recommend highly.

The room was too dark and small, inside the room everything so old. I am sure the room didnt renovate since 30 years ago. Staff was polite and helpful though.

I enjoyed my stay there, the restaurant makes tasty dinners and the staff overall was very pleasant and welcoming. My only issue was the parking. They only have valet; at check in we asked how much they said $71 daily. After 2 days we checked out the bill was $239.00. I swear, 71 plus all types of taxes and urban fees. I was flabbergasted.

It is a sophisticated upscale property, which i liked. HOWEVER, there were two issues that would make me never stay here again. The first was the $71 parking fee. Absolutely outrages and not mentioned at all in the booking. I was prepared to pay the regular $40-45 rate but had i been able to, i would have cancelled and left. You are stuck. You cannot park anywhere overnight in Beverly Hills. Just a heads up for other expedia users. Secondly, the pool is much smaller than it looks in the photo, completely taken over at 9am by 4 women who smoked cigarettes and blared their own music on top of the piped in music. I really dont think a hotel should consider the pool the smoking area and put a large ash tray by the pool. If a hotel advertises ts a completely smoke free hotel, then make people smoke 15 ft away from the property. I found it disgusting. Never had this problem at a hotel pool before, not even in Vegas. Leave it to a french motel to figure out a way to accommodate the smokers. Wont be going back. Hope this deters others feeling really ripped off....

The hotel and stay was great, however the hotel only offer The hotel only offer Valet parking option which was too expensive ($75 per day).

I've stayed at the Sofitel before, however, this time the graciousness of the staff, especially Jennifer at the front desk, was outstanding. Whether it was at the bar or the restaurant, we found the service and attitude top notch. The room and bed, the location, all terrific. Kudos!

Close to great shopping and very quiet for LA, which was terrific! Some attention will soon need to be given to the restaurant and bar areas - starting to look a little tired.

The staff is top of the line. Extremely attentive and seem to know what you want before you yourself know. They don’t know this but I worked many years at the Ritz Carlton and you receive very specialized training there to know even the smallest details. I would rank the staff here as identical. I’m very impressed and that’s saying something because it’s not easy to surprise me by having the same standards I do or better. This was a wonderful stay

The staff were all excellent & so helpful. My suggestions are, in regard to the room: need better pillows, and tea & uht milk on the tray. The hotel decor is a little in need to freshening up.
