Safety Harbor Spa & Resort is now at the top of my list for most beautiful and relaxing destinations I've been too. So much history to discover set in the cutest little Main Street that is quintessential "Old Florida" The room had a gorgeous view of a fountain courtyard and was ice cold inside....perfect for cooling down after a day at the incredible pool in the HOT end of summer sun!! I loterally want to plan my wedding for here now!

This place used to be so beautiful, but it’s definitely getting old and needs upkeep. The ceiling was literally falling in our room. There were industrial blowers in the hallway and a smell of mildew. They don’t pick up our breakfast dishes from outside out door the whole weekend. The staff wasn’t friendly. And there was a cockroach carcass on the old dingy carpet near the door. The shower didn’t work. I could go on but this should paint enough of a picture. It was a bummer because I used to love this place.

Super convenient to downtown Safety Harbor, great layout and pool. Wonderful views of Tampa bay and access to walking paths and nature park on the bay. We were celebrating a family birthday so i got 4 facials at the spa for the ladies. Only one of the facials was good according to my family, the rest seemed to be trainees and there was a vast difference in the service for each of my family members. Just not worth the $125 plus tip for 3 out of 4. However, the place just smells funky. We have had black fuzzy stuff on the walls in previous rooms. After the most recent tropical storm (some wind, some rain - kind of a typical Sunday) there were leaks all over. Lots of waterspots on the cielings from previous rain damage and buckets and safety cones all around. We were on the 4th floor and the entire 10' by 20' elevator lobby carpet was completely soaked. We told the front desk 5 separate times, including when we checked out, that no one had set up fans, or done anything about the carpet (this is over a 36 hour span). Front desk apologized and said they had so many leaks the maintenance team couldn't keep up. My sister has mold allergies and she can't visit us here, - so Caveat Emptor.

Most staff were great except for the tall gentleman at the front desk.. he was rude. My mother and I actually sat and waited for him to walk away and spoke with a woman who stated our room had been ready when he did not even bother to look.

I used to travel for work, and the only negative thing I can say is this is the ONLY hotel I’ve ever stayed at that does not offer free coffee! It’s about $10 for 2 coffees. We advised everyone there for the wedding to be sure to get coffee elsewhere!

Charming Old Florida feel. Could use updating but very good for price. Awesome little lounge with fantastic live music on Saturday night and a bartender that kept probably 50 or more people with cocktails-she was amazing! Pool bar pretty fun, too. Only negative was first two visits to reception/checkin the attendants were not pleasant at all-should not be those two men at front desk. Poor first impression.

I love staying here. The rooms were very nice with lots of space. The spa and amenities were amazing. The restaurant had great food and room service. The lobster bisque wash the best I’ve ever had, nice little kick to it, I’ll be craving it. All the staff was nice and helpful. I’ll definitely be returning.

5 girls on a girl trip. We got two rooms by pool, they were nice, clean and comfy. I like that there are two sink areas for multiple people getting ready in the morning. The spa had some areas that were run down, but other than that had a great time.

I came here years ago and thought it was a great place, not anymore. Dirty water in the pools and hot tubs, rooms that badly need renovations. Some nice furniture in the room, but some major renovations need to be done for charging close to $400 a night. It has potential but they’re just letting it go. For example the thermostate looks like it’s from the 1970’s, you press cooler button and it gets warmer, you press the warmer button and it gets warmer, then you press “room” button and for some reason that button turns the AC cooler. How has this not been fixed in 50 years? Not sure if they try to trick people to save AC electricity but that’s insane for a supposed luxury place. Costs $70 and takes 20 mins to change a unit like that. The landscape of the hotel is great, and it’s in a great location. Other than that it’s a lot of sleepy old people not even any relaxing music in their spa. Complete silence. Barely anyone in there. I’ve stayed at 75 hotels this year and it’s only May. I’d say 30% less price and it would be worth it. Worth noting $55 for breakfast extra $15 if you want unlimited mimosas. I passed on that so can’t comment on the food but within a 2 minute walk there are some nice restaurants.

The pool area with tiki bar was quite luxurious. We were able to walk to many restaurants as well as to Philippe Park. Our room was quite spacious with a high king bed and a patio.

This is a perfect spot to just relax and enjoy good food within walking distance. Beautiful place and you wouldn't realize it while you're there but it's conveniently located 15 minutes from tampa international Airport.

Unfortunately, our flight was delayed by several hours due to storms in the area. We had been looking forward to a wonderful dinner in the beautiful dining room, but we were not able to do that because we arrived so late. Breakfast was very nice though. We were unable to spend time the following day to check out the grounds. Hope to return another time to see all we missed!
