Great stay, charming city, absolutely great breakfast buffet
5.0
My daughter and I loved our stay in this hotel. Great location, a few tram stops from the main station, quiet at night although located in the central.
The receptionist was nice and helpful .Breakfast was amazing too. Junior suite was spacious and had a nice view of the river. It would be better if there were more staff at breakfast.

Fantastic. Best breakfast buffet. Great bathroom. Rustic style. Quiet. Very central

Our room was spacious and clean. The hotel is very conveniently located on the river and just a few blocks from the old square. Just steps away from the tram line, which made it easy to get to the train station and the Schloss Eggenburg. Breakfast was incredible!

2 night weekend trip in Graz. Chose this hotel mainlu due to the central location which is very convenient indeed if you wish to walk around main sights. Also very close to many great restaurants. Breakfast was outstanding, plenty of choises and high quality. Bar was also nice, cozy athmosphere, drinks ok. Rooms however, are quite odd. Lots of space but not very well utilized. The furnitures weird and quite worn. Bed not very comfortable. Also can hear noises from rooms next door.
4.0
Room was extremely comfortable, though noise does carry. There was a lot of work happening around the hotel (city road works) which made navigating a path to/from the hotel safely a little more challenging than usual. One thing I would flag is that service was quite slow and I was surprised to have the hotel restaurant waiter explicitly invite a tip!

The room we were initially booked into looked nothing like the photos of the Grand Independent Room so we asked to change rooms which was sorted fairly quickly. The room was freezing, the radiators didn't work (we did follow the instructions) and the pillows and bedding were uncomfortable.
When checking out the manager prioritised seeing to someone who spoke the language rather than us (tourists) although we had been in the queue ahead of them.
The only positive thing we have to say about this hotel is that the location is very good.
I would recommend that you stay elsewhere in Graz, there are hotels with equally good locations

The hotel was in walking distance to many museums, churches and other sites.
It was quiet and quaint. The staff was helpful.

Nothing really special about this hotel! And it’s too expensive

This is a beautiful old hotel with fabulous staff and in a great location. Very central to the historic area and we walked to all the museums, galleries and to access the castle. Area has loads of restaurants.
Very comfortable bed, lovely linens, spacious room. The only odd aspect is the washroom is divided into three areas. Not functional and very odd like each aspect was an afterthought. Room could have been way more efficient with better design. We asked for a kettle and cups and the were sent up immediately. Front desk checking was very welcoming.

Nice stay in the centre. Some issues with issuing invoices resolved quickly by a nice receptionist lady. Good esp. if you do not travel by car.

My "tiny independent" room (no 423) was very noisy due to a problem with the plumbing. It started around 7.30am (presumably when other guests began to shower) with loud banging of pipes and the water was running in my sink despite the fact that the taps were firmly closed. All of this was followed by a rather unpleasant smell which lingered all day (like a blocked drain). I could put up with this disturbance in a 1 star hotel but do not expect this in a room costing EURO 228 per night. Rather disappointing.

Nice neighborhood and friendly staff. Hotel is average condition but the breakfast is wonderful. The best breakfast in very long time. We really enjoyed it. Hotel staff was extremely helpful. We will come again.

I couldn’t recommend this place enough. From check-in to check out, perfect. Attention to detail everywhere. Amazingly welcoming staff. Impecable amenities. This place is the pinnacle of what the hospitality industry should aspire to be.

The hotel lobby and rooms are not quite as grand as one might expect for a Grand Hotel, although the Cafe restaurant is elegant. But the hotel is very functional and convenient for the old city.

Great hotel! Room is good. Location is perfect, just next to the Modern Muzium!

Great location near main square in Graz. Access to large number of dining options nearby but breakfast in this hotel is exceptional. Ben Fujimoto welcomed us and transported cases to our room without any hassle whilst we parked the car in the hotel garage.
Really memorable city and this is a perfect place to enjoy it.

Stayed for a night and had a wonderful time in hotel and restaurant.

Nice "old style" Hotel well refurbished. Some of the ideas difficult to understand (no wardrobe) some of the "wooden details" in the room do not fit the concept. However, overall a good stay in a great Hotel. Careful, bar and restaurant closed on weekends and public holidays (hard to understand). Good breakfast.

Fancy, extravagant and nice hotel (bit retro-style) clean and tidy rooms, good matraces , quiet location.
Hughe breakfast, lot of different options, good food, in the morning and for dinner as well. The kitchen staff is doing a great job !
Bar members are friendly and polite, with good wine, gin, whiskey and cocktails.
It is worth to stay there, very enjoyable!
