Good location for me. Quiet in the room. I had a couple issues with the bathroom. The sink in my first room had the drain closed and I couldn't open it. The front desk moved me to another room. In that room the tub wouldn't drain! Maintenance came and fixed it. Not a big problem but weird that it happened twice. Housekeeping only came once to my room and I stayed three nights. I asked for something from housekeeping and was told there's no housekeeping staff after 3 pm. Again, not a big problem and I guess you have to staff properly for the number of guests you have, but it still seemed strange. On the plus side, the staff is extremely friendly, especially the servers in the breakfast room!

Love the location, very close to campus. The only thing i dont like is parking. We had to pay 10 for valet and he parked my car in the handicap spot right next to front door. I could have done that! When we left. I just asked for the key and got the car myself.

The place was difficult to find. The area was sketchy. While I was checking in my husband remained in the car. He saw two different men hanging around outside the lobby walking in and out while drinking alcohol in brown paper bags. The lobby wanted a $50 security deposit and out of that deposit they would subtract $10 for valet parking. I saw no valet on duty and many cars parked in front going no where. The only other choice we had was to park across the street and pay a meter. We did not feel safe staying there and drove off. Sadly, I sacrificed the money I paid for the room that I didn’t get to use

Seemed very clean in the room until my son‘s toy went behind the bed. That’s where I found the fingernails and the beer caps.

I thought this was a great place to stay. I felt safe, loved the river view, the bed was comfortable, the refrigerator kept my water really cold, it was clean. Two negatives: water didn’t drain well in the shower and I couldn’t find Fox News. I’m a senior and don’t know about scanning with my phone, so I didn’t have access to the channel guide.

Clean hotel in downtown Huntington. So much to do around there. Very friendly staff.

In town and walking distance to distance to restaurants but easy to get to family gatherings they did not make the bed or replace dirty towels just the Minimum

Was expecting a more modern room considering its affiliation. Parking is awful. Staff could be more friendly.

Area was mostly empty and unoccupied buildings.

The staff was wonderful. The gentleman who checked us in on June 30th was VERY helpful & we appreciated him. The hotel was comfortable and thankful the AC was cold!

For a doubletree it was very worn down and not worth the money not to mention a couple rude staff members and the everyday $50 deposit if you choose to extend. And I never got no damn cookies. Stayed 4 nights

Hilten more like a hilzero. This place was lacking in all amenities. The soaps and lotion bottles were all completely drained in our room. It looked as if they hadn't been filled in months as they were dry as a bone inside. The phone did not work in the room and was connected to nothing. There was very limited dining options within walking distance. We got this place because it was across from the river but any views were blocked by a big cement retaining wall. Overall I wish I would have drove 45 minutes down the road and stayed in Charleston, WV.

The staff was great. We had 2 rooms. The first one we were put in, the air conditioning didn’t work. We went to the front desk and let them know, she switched our room no problem. When we walked into the second room, there were crumbs on the floor, the shower looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a while. We stayed in this hotel last year and everything was great. After this year, I’d be hard pressed to stay again.

Have stayed at this location the past two years for an annual Mother/Son Prom and we love it there!

Party in the hallway after midnight, prom the day of check in couldn't even walk in the front lobby. All the soap was out, one tissue in the box.

I came to Huntington to see my girl friend that I hadn’t seen in a year for Memorial Day weekend. I was super excited for this hotel as the photos and reviews were nice. I was most excited about its location and pool, which were the two determining factors for me choosing this property over others. I wanted to be downtown and I really wanted to swim, because again it was Memorial Day weekend and 80 degrees and beautiful weather. I got there and asked about the pool and they told me it was closed. No explanation nor heads up considering their main photos online are of their pool. I’ve never heard of a pool being closed for Memorial Day weekend? Had I known, I would’ve stayed elsewhere for cheaper because it was the main reason I felt the price was justified. Already bummed about this, I also was blindsided about the parking. I was not warned ahead that there was no onsite parking for this hotel, which I’ve never experienced before. For an extra charge of course, you can do valet. I did since I was unfamiliar with the area and it didn’t feel safe. Just another expense I wasn’t planning on and I’d have to wait long periods of time for them to get my car because the valet people were never there when I needed them. I was always told it “would be awhile”. Okay now the main reason I’m leaving this review. I paid for this hotel ahead of time on Expedia. They still had me put my card in upon arrival which I thought was weird and the charge was for the full amount. Not only did the

The Hotel itself was very nice, the room was much smaller than expected. However, we were still able to accommodate our guests and have fun. The bed was very comfortable and clean. The floor felt a bit uneven in both the room and the bathroom as well. That was a bit odd but other than that no complaints. The pool was the highlight of our stay! Very fun!

Carpet was worn, no shampoo and one wash rag and one bar of soap. Bar closed at 5pm on a Saturday.

Property and staff were great, the other guests were pretty rowdy through out the night and ignored the no smoking rules.

Staff was extremely unhelpful. No parking available. Room was dirty. AC did not work. Mold on the bathroom as well as peeling paint. Outlets were not working.

The property should do some updates the carpet should go. Also the TV didn’t work
