We were pleased, however we could hear others in their rooms. Particularly doors slamming & thumping was often evident.
The shower leaks also.

Great location in Melbourne CBD

Central location in free tram zone and Chinatown. Small but functional bathroom with walk-in shower. TV lost connection and turned off.

Extremely noisy during the night which comes from mechanical system I believe

just a great team and value for money and positioned walking distance to everything.

The photos of the Mercure must be old because the hotel is very dated. The wallpaper is scuffed and damaged, and despite their efforts of cleanliness the overall feel is unclean. The room was smaller than advertised, and smelled heavily of the previous patrons cologne. The adjoining doors were unlocked and the room door does little to filter out the sounds coming from surrounding rooms and hallways. The air conditioner was also loud enough to prevent sleep. I couldn’t even last one night.

The first night was not great the room is not soundproof so we could hear everyone else in there rooms, the light from the lobby comes through the doorway. The beds in the room were old innerspring mattresses with the springs poking us as we layed down. I mentioned this to the manager and she was amazing, she went above and beyond, we changed rooms and found better beds which was nice. Overall not bad but not sure we would stay there again.

We have stayed here a few times. It is very convenient for most thing's in the city. The beds were reasonably comfortable but could definitely do with toppers or better mattresses. It felt like you were sleeping on springs.

This hotel should be rated as a 2 or possibly 3 star hotel. I knew this was a budget friendly hotel, but when rated as a 4 star, I booked it. After flying for over 20 hours, this is not the hotel you want to come to and relax/rewind. Our room literally looked like a jail cell. Extremely small and the window opened to a brick wall. We ended up just resting for about 2 hours in the room..and booked a different hotel (The Windsor). This is a good hotel for those on an extreme budget.

In the heart of CBD

Convenient location and good for a stay in the CBD. Not the best room service options for food but lots of food options around.

Fantastic location and perfect for what we needed. We felt very safe & secure. Only minor improvement would be some maintenance to the bathroom and mold in the grout in the shower but honestly, as a mother with a teenage daughter, we felt very comfortable, and loved our time there. We will definitely stay there again.

Small room. Brick wall view. Over crowded lifts. The noise from the kitchen at breakfast was unbearable.

Very good property for shopping and for going to Restaurants. Very close to all amenities. The room was very cramped and the shower was very tight. A lot of noise from adjoining rooms made it hard to sleep. No interaction with staff!

All good

Stay was good. Only thing was be careful with the parking as there are 2 wilson carparks near each other. Make sure you get the right one.
Brekky was ok, not great. Other than that it was a good place to stay.
3.0 / 5.0
Our room was located directly behind the lifts so could hear it constantly going up and down through out the night when trying to sleep. Saw spider and ants in bathroom on arrival day. But the hotel is in ideal location at door step of China town, Bourke St. mall and tram at street intersection to get around the city for free. There was a long line up to check in and out with only one staff member at reception desk working

Have stayed before with a positive experience, however this stay was disappointing.
The heater in my room was broken and blowing out cold air, it was a cold winters day and I was freezing. It took over 2.5 hours and multiple contacts with reception to have this attended to, and ultimately led to me moving rooms. I was disappointed in how long it took to be listened to. In my new room, the hot water tap in the shower was falling off, but at this stage I was just happy to have a working heater, so I made it work.
On a positive, the room was very dark and good for sleeping.

Location and value for money was great. Felt a little dim and outdated, but clean enough

It was busy area of the city.
