Lovely place, food and service. Would love to be back.

The Imperial is an oasis of calm luxury in the middle of a splendidly chaotic Delhi. The old British architecture and decor transports you back in time where the service matches to provide you with a truly regal and carefree experience at every step.

The Imperial might just be the best hotel I've ever stayed at! We finished our trip in India here, in pure luxury, where all the amenities were top quality, and the staff were so friendly and welcoming, it truly felt like our home away from home. The staff were so lovely, we were spotted by a member of staff who had finished his shift, when we were walking about a kilometer away from the hotel, and he took the time to offer us directions to where we were trying to go! Can't recommend the Imperial enough. We loved it and if we find ourselves in Delhi again I'd stay again in a heartbeat.

Check in was good. Except the hotel added additional credit card charges to the stay and that was then left pending on my account
So when I came to pay the final bill which was issued separately, it looked like I’d spent nearly £3000 !!! For a 3 night stay. Consequently my CC refused payment .. it took forever to get it sorted and we then had little time free at the airport
Also our room 265 had no natural window
Instead it had an internal opening that looked down into the hotel lobby area. The Roman blind needed to stay down the whole time .. very disappointing considering the pretty grounds.
Also, when next door used their bathroom there was a continual clanking of pipe works, not good at 5/6am
I have evidence of this if the hotel is interested

As always an amazing experience. The Imperial have always offered an exceptional high level of service.

As always, an amazing experience. The staff does everything to make one feel at home. No one is too busy to stop and have a quick chat. Going above and beyond is an ingrained part of their service.
I have stayed at this property since I was 10 and now 4 decades later, I have seen it through various phases. The new management is a breath of fresh air and is restoring the Imperial Delhi hotel to its glory days that had been lost with time.
One will not regret splurging on this grand experience.

It's just a terrific property.

I had a great stay, everyone there was lovely and the food was great, as well as the location. The room was a bit noisy. I’m not sure if it was above a restaurant or they were doing construction but I enjoyed nonetheless.
4.7
Amazing hotel with exceptional service. The staff were amazing and super helpful. They went over and beyond to make sure we had a fabulous stay in one of Delhi’s iconic hotels.
4.7
We had an amazing stay at the Imperial. Hard to find a fault . If we were to be picky it would be that the food selection could do with a bit more variety. However I was required to only stay in the hotel which is why this was an issue and at other times it would be easy enough to go restaurants nearby. Definitely worth 5 stars!

The Imperial hotel in the centre of New Delhi is an amazing place to stay at. It has fantastic facilities for business and recreational travellers and exceptional customer service. Some examples include the wonderful breakfast box for our day trip to the Taj Mahal and the chasing down our delayed/lost luggage with India Airlines
4.7
A superb place to relax before heading to the airport. Everything is top notch including the concierge staff - they sent someone to buy luggage for me while I had dinner.
4.7
I liked most the settled in feeling! I took the weekend instead of working as a holiday and it was one! Thanks!
4.7
Amazing hotel and staff, highly recommend and would stay again. In addition, martinis were outstanding and the facilities were 10/10. Cannot fault this place.

A beautiful old world hotel!

No place better in Delhi. This is a top hotel with attention to every detail.
4.7
This is one of the finest hotels I've been in, anywhere, and I've been in a lot of 5-star places. Especially for the price it is extraordinary. The staff are perfect, the rooms spacious and well-appointed, everything top notch, the restaurants great.

I arrived late night 1:30AM
but staff proceed check in smoothly
and welcome me with warm atomosphre. hotel has traditional style interior and many paintings to feel long history. I enjoyed this stay much.
4.7
Best place i stayed in India. Staff were excellent, professional but not over attentive, nothing was too much trouble but they didn't keep interrupting and asking if all was ok every 2 minutes. It was personal service, they didn't keep sending messages to ask for reviews every two minutes, the room had actual light switches instead of having to control all through a tablet. I am definitely going back next trip. Loved it!

We have stayed at The Imperial many times, always the same excellent experience. We have stayed at many other facilities in and around Delhi and The Imperial is, without a question, the gold standard.

One the best hotels I’ve stayed in. You will be treated as royalty!

This is an iconic hotel in the heart of Delhi. The hotel itself is stunning and features surprisingly large, well maintained rooms. As a South Asian American, I didn't love the British imperialism nature of the hotel (artwork, gifts from Kings, etc.), but I understand the importance of recognizing the history of the hotel and the country. The staff was generally friendly, but they were not as openly welcoming as some other places we've stayed - there was always an underlying tone of formality to out interactions. I would recommend this hotel for business travelers or people looking for what India must have felt like under British rule. I would not recommend it for people with small kids or for those looking to experience India the way Indians do. I will note, though, that the location is incredible, and is an easy walk or drive to a lot of shopping and tourist attractions. The food at the hotel is incredible, and the breakfast is still a source of conversation in our home. Overall, it is a great place to stay and I would recommend it.

The Imperial is considered the grand dame of Indian hotels, and our expectations were high. The property, the entrance and greeting, the lobby and common areas were all spectacular. The Hardinge and Patiala Peg bars make you feel like you were in London. Everything before you get to your room is spectacular. Our room, however, was quite average. During our two day stay, our air conditioning only worked sporadically. The shower seal wasn't working and water leaked out onto the bathroom floor. The television wasn't connected well, and wobbled as though it would fall over. And we found the service at the Imperial wanting. We traveled India for two weeks and stayed at several top properties. And the Imperial's service was the worst. The concierge and front desk staff behaved as though you were inconveniencing them, and the pushed you to use their hotel car when a tax is a fraction of the cost. I'm sure there are other rooms in the hotel that would be better, and perhaps we caught the staff on an impatient day. But our experience at the Imperial was all surface wow, and underneath "meh."

Asked us to check out early??? Because they had a big group coming in early. It’s a lovely older hotel and well maintained. Not as nice as other 5 star hotels.

The best hotel where we stayed s far.
Great Location.

Top hotel. Service exceptional

Stayed at the Deco suite. Service is hit or miss. Mostly 80% miss. While you can't expect Four Seasons or La Mamounia treatment here, they do fail on many levels including basic ones. This is mostly a reflection on process and training vs. the people. Example 1: Disconnect between front desk and restaurant - timings and reservations. Calling the manager solved the issue. Example 2: Multiple calls to the concierge - transfers and hangups with no callbacks. Emailing management helped resolve the issue. We shouldn't have to do that to receive service
Service when received lacks genuine warmth and hospitality - feels more like a business transaction. Even the Taj does better in this regard.
Location, property and food was good.

Wonderful hotel. The service was impeccable and the room very comfortable. The pool area is lovely and the sense of history in the hotel is wonderfully preserved.
4.7
An oasis of green in Connaught Place. Fabulous place to stay with incredible hospitality. Choose the inclusive breakfast rate. It is the best, with multiple choices of cuisine, very well made. Nothing is too much trouble attitude. We loved it.
4.7
This hotel is the best! We stayed for 2 nights after just arriving from the US and it is perfect for recovering from long days of travel. The spa and gym deserve a special shoutout for being top tier! Best service and quality in Delhi. Truly the only complaint I have is that I wish the bathrobes were larger!
4.7
Might be my favorite hotel in the world. Absolutely beautiful Art Deco design. Incredible service. Wonderful people.

Beautiful old world property , transports one to a find by era . Friendly and helpful staff

Did not receive the $100 credit for food and beverage. No room upgrade was provided.
4.7
A great stay in an iconic property not far from Old Delhi.
4.7
First class colonial style hotel with beautiful rooms, great restaurants and amazing service
4.7
Nothing not to like here. Top notch hotel, supreme comfort, exemplary staff who go above and beyond and excellent service. There really is nothing that can be improved, it’s already perfect.
4.7
High quality hotel with excellent dining options. Comfortable room. Excellent public spaces and facilities. Great service from the staff. Good location in Delhi.

One of our favorite hotels in the world, the service is impeccable. Great restaurants, bars, and a fantastic pool and spa. Come for the history, stay for the opulence.
