Hotel used to be decent, but has really fallen into disrepair. Door knob fell off bathroom door. No coffee in lobby no cups in room, coffee pot in room didn't work. Room was clean, but not comfortable.

This was probably the worst hotel we’ve stayed at. I’ve been to other Econo Lodges as well and this one was bad. We booked an Mountian view room and it was overlooking a full building not facing the mountains. Our room was covered in syrup (seeped into the carpet). We had to request a new comforter as the one we had had holes, stains, and hair on it. It seemed like they just made the bed after someone else used it. There was also a press on finger nail by the window from a prior guest and what I can only hope was super glue from that nail all over the chair in the corner. I don’t think they cleaned the room beyond making the existing bed as there were socks from a prior guest in the corner too. The first night we made due as we needed a place close to an event we had but the 2nd night we had to complain at the front office. Someone (who we later found out was the person working the desk) was making ingredient strong Indian food. The whole hotel smelled and our room was at the furthest end, 2nd floor. It smelled so bad in our room that we had to put a towel under the door after complaining. The front desk person said sorry and that they’d spray to help with the smell. Overall it was a horrible stay and we will be noting this in many places. We could not afford to find a new hotel last minute so we had to stay the 2nd night as no one else was open. When we checked out in the morning the front desk person did not offer a refund only said sorry our stay was bad.

Property is in serious need of a deep cleaning. Carpet is disgusting in the main areas. Exterior parking lot is in terrbile shape and dirty. A/C units on the outside are missing parts. Just looks like a really old run down property. Pillows are the worst, cheapest things I have ever seen. I assumed they are using disposable pillows but probably not.

Price point was perfect for this hotel - nothing fancy, relatively clean, comfortable bed, and a great location for Canon City. Walkable to great restaurants, coffee shops and bars downtown. Safe area.

Holes in the sheets and comforter. The chair in room had stains on it. We asked for fresh towles and did not get them. Had to go to a house keeper during morning rounds. Coffee at breakfast was cold and watered down.

Room had a refrigerator and microwave, which is important to me as I usually have leftovers if I go out to eat or items to transfer from my cooler. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance as well as variety. This Econo Lodge was central to all the sites I had planned for this trip.

Cheap rates, good place to stay for a cheap room. Beds mediocre, but cheap rates. Staff took forever to find my reservation and couldn't see that I had booked there rooms. It literally took about 45 minutes to check in. Staff is nice but have problems navigating the computers. You have to take out your own trash, no one will make your bed, you have to go to the front desk to exchange your linens, or get towel for the pool, and the pool is in poor condition. (I build pools for a living) However cheap rates and clean.

Checking in is always a breeze. The staff are kind and helpful. He will explain all amenities during this time. I like the double bed rooms for the same price as a king, but the feel is more spacious. It’s Cañon city so there’s not much to expect anyways. The rooms always have an odd smell but it seems each one has a mini fridge and microwave for use. The bathroom is always sparkly clean, which is a huge plus. The pillows are the absolute worst, so degraded and visibly used; i don’t even use them. I pulled the sheets back one visit and there was a large stain, since then i bring my own blankets to cover and sleep on top. I do enjoy my stay here, free breakfast and a generally quiet location.

I didnt like the beds they were lopsided and uncomfortable. Also it was a dusty room. I did enjoy the hot tub and pool. The pool is definitely not heated like they say. But i had a good time regardless.

The room didn’t close all the way, you had to slam it to get it to shut, did not look like the pictures on the site at all and could hear everything from the room next door
