Great stay for the price! As clean as any 2-3 star hotel that costs twice as much!

We arrived about 1:00 on a Saturday. Place looked almost deserted. There were 4 cars in the parking lot. I was there on a hunting trip. We just wanted to change and get out hunting. I stopped at the front desk and a VERY UNPLEASANT young woman was at the desk. I told her I had a reservation for the next 4 days and asked if it was possible to check in a little early so we could get changed. She gave me a disgusted look like I had asked her to stay for free. She informed me that they do not do early check ins and that if I was to come back at 2:30 she would "see what she could do." Other than that, stay was ok/average. Advertise breakfast, not a lot there. Choices are extremely limited, especially if you just want to grab something quick. Was ok, but nothing special.

We showed up late at night, the gentleman at the front desk was nice, funny, welcoming and professional. The room was clean, sheets were crisp and clean. The caulk lining the bath tub looked like it was just smooshed on there by a first time DIY’er and has started to mold. That looked ghetto and the carpet needs to be professionally cleaned. The cleaning staff does well but the maintenance employee needs training.

Was decent and very reasonably priced. Easy to find off the highway.

The room was very comfortable, smelt good and the bed and bedding very comfortable

Limited breakfast. Mostly carbs, waffles, bisques & gravy, cereal, toast, muffins.
Had water on hot only to get a warm shower in morning.
Door at end of building did not open with key. Was suggested we use that door for our room.

Excellent service from staff. Big clean room with refrigerator and microwave. Enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Near restaurants.

The check in clerk was really nice and very helpful. The room smelled like vomit, the chairs were dirty, one was an old vinyl office chair that had part of the arm that was really ripped up with stuffing sticking out. Sheets were polyester as was the bedding. The rugs in the hallway were well tracked, windows dirty and outside was unswept. I should have taken photos. So, if you want a cheap place to stay, go for it.

They only have housekeeping every 4 days. Breakfast is almost all sugar or carbs. No protein or fibre choices. Room was fine.

The lady who checked us in was so helpful & compassionate! Her mom was very kind as well! The daughter made the stay better! Great breakfast!

Very dated and not extremely clean in public areas. Breakfast area was dirty and no fresh fruit. Front desk representatives were marginally friendly.
Beds were comfy.
Would not stay again.

Updated rooms while the overall property common space needed a refresher too. Surprised to find no elevator (?).

Bed was not comfortable. Felt as if it was broken down on the sides. There was no body wash in the shower. All in all, not great, just so-so.

Clean, Chincoteague and friendly
3.0 / 5.0
The staff member who checked me in was extremely pleasant and helpful, even transferring me to the lower level so I did not have to carry multiple bags upstairs. The staff member who was on duty during check out was annoyed that she had to get up from watching TV in the back and sighed loudly when getting out of her chair to answer my question about check out times and then gave me a dirty look in the parking lot.

Good for what it is. A decent night stay. A little pricey for an ECONolodfe

Breakfast was just okay. Staff did not ask how I wanted to pay; simply put the room on the initial card I had on file. Hot tub bubbles were very weak.

Great clean hotel. Only complaint was the noisy AC, but it didn’t matter

The entry was not kept up. The carpets in hallway were nasty. The pool and weight room were too filthy to use. The bathroom vent was covered with dead bugs.

A bit expensive for this type of a hotel, but it was clean, quiet, with a decent breakfast.

The outside entrance of property was dirty and breakfast items were seen sitting out in a backroom and the hallway smelled like marijuana

Good location to Yellowstone. Had at least 50 gnats flying around the room if not more. Alerted receptionist at night about it and said that when I checked out, partial refund would be given. Next morning asked about it when checking out and receptionist flat out told me that they didn’t offer refunds for this problem and her answer was this was Montana and this is nature and walked to the back room. Very disappointed.

The Econo Lodge fit the bill for an indoor/clean-up overnight. We used the washer/dryer machines. Basically OK, but the dryer din't dry enough, I'm afraid. The pool area looked excellent, but unfortunately we didn't get to use it. The breakfast could have had a bit more variety. Overall, our experience was good.

The hotel did not have an elevator. Its very run down with cheaply updated flooring. The toilet couldn't flush properly and the sinks drain was extremely slow. The air conditioner kept making an awful sound so sleep was not happening. The floors in the lobby and side entenace were filthy. The desk clerk was in her pajamas and the next morning still in them while doing things for the breakfast service. I do not recomment this place at all.

Oof. This room was pretty rough. Gnat infestation our second night, floor hadn’t been swept, someone else’s hair on the bathroom floor, a TOENAIL in my bed. The sheets had been cleaned, but that’s about it. Loud, tiny bathroom, no stopper in the sink drain, holes in the wall. Very limited breakfast and they started putting it away before 9:00. Reception was friendly at check in, but couldn’t help with any problems. Won’t stay here again.

Too expensive for Econolodge, $187 for an old building, paper thin walls and marginally clean room. Breakfast was underwhelming, prepackaged gravy and hard rolls or cereal. No worth the expense.

The front desk ladies were the unfriendliest and most unhelpful we’ve ever encountered. They changed the price when we got there. She said she could raise the price because it was their last room. We told them that we had a reservation. They said it didn’t matter. If we had that. We asked her what would have happened if someone would’ve showed up before us. She said that they would have told us to go find another hotel. When we got to the room the crapshow continued. The AC was so loud and obnoxious, we recorded it and took it down to the front desk. They couldn’t believe how loud it was. She told us she would try to get us a discount. We went back to the hotel room and the blow dryer didn’t work. We tried to call the front desk, but the phone didn’t work. We had to walk to the front desk and tell them. The AC was so loud we had to turn it off. Couldn’t sleep because it was so hot. At 4:00 am we had to turn it back on. When we checked out, Cassandra was the rudest front desk person imaginable. She said since we booked it online we had to take it up with them, even though the room was all messed up. We were flabbergasted at her and how we were treated. If we would have paid the actual hotel price it would have been over $400.00. It wasn’t worth $100.00 in our opinion.
