Quality was fine. Check in experience was chaotic. No information given regarding which way to rooms, breakfast, pool times etc

We have stayed at the hotel before as a family & liked it so thought it would be perfect for a night stay before heading to Lapland the next morn. We paid for a suite because we knew we had an early start and wanted a good nights sleep…it turns out our suite was next door to the plant room & it was so noisy neither me, my husband or our 3 year old could sleep. The headboards back onto the plant room. My husband complained & after some to-ing & fro-ing we were eventually told it was a ‘known problem’ and we then had to ask to be moved. We were told we could move to a room on our floor, however when the key arrived it was a floor down. It was a downgrade. No one offered to help move us so we had to carry a sleeping 7 year old, and over tired 3 year old & all of our luggage at 10pm. (We had asked if we could leave some of our belongings in the original room but were met with a shrug). I cannot explain how uncomfortable the bed was in the downgraded room & neither I nor my husband got a good sleep.
Come morning time on departing I headed to reception to complain. I asked why were people being put next to the plant room if it’s known to be noisy. Was told it wasn’t a known problem (contradictory to the night before) & offered PUDDING tokens?? What would I do with them!! I was eventually refunded £60 which I am not happy with given the dampener it put on the trip & the lack of sleep we had. Really not good enough. We would not stay again.

We stayed here for 1 night after visiting Lapland U.K. which is a short distance away so very convenient. My booking didn’t include breakfast but we did however order dinner in the evening and the food was nice. It was an overall arrange stay nothing special. Would I book this hotel again, probably not.

Staff were helpful and friendly. Hotel was dressed up lovely for Christmas. Very family friendly hotel.

Room was not ready for the 3pm check in. No activities for the children, despite being provided to other families. Once we had access to the room, it was only set up for 4 not the 5 of us. We were heading out and arriving back late evening, so asked the 5th bed to be made whilst we were out. On arrival back with 3 very tired children the room had still had not been made up.
The room was clean, but the bathroom was falling apart. We didn’t ever receive enough towels, glasses/mugs or water for all of us.

Hotel is okay, nice enough and certainly worth the 80 quid.
Dissapointed by the pool being out of order. No explination why, it was filled and warm but no swimming. Quite annoying when thats a big selling point to the property.
Otherwise a good trip. Breakfast was great.

Checking in time was very long. one person on the desk who took her time while there was a queue forming. Room was so cold. the AC was blowing out cold air (even though on 30 degrees) - tried to get hold of maintenance but no one answered - cleaners kindly provided an extra radiator.
We tried to order room service for 30 minutes with no answer, before deciding to get Uber Eats instead. the 3 stars is just for the amazing cookies provided at check-in.

It was a perfect stay lovely rooms and the e breakfast was fresh with lots of options. The only disappointment was that the pool was closed and on a wet and rainy afternoon it would have been nice to have use of it.

The shower was blocked, the heating didn’t work so the room was freezing, the pool was broken

Good hotel with lovely grounds. Bedroom were big size and clean. We had a first bad night because we had the extraction fan system machine next door. Although upon speaking with the reception staff they have moved us to a different room without hesitating. On the back of that they made 20% discount on the stay and gave us a complementary drink. What me a my family were expecting was the swimming pool open but during our stay it was in maintenance and we picked this hotel because of that and for being close to the lapland UK. Overall it had good breakfast buffet and the evening meals was very good and all very fresh ingredients. Overall we had a positive experience.

Positive: Check-in was smooth and efficient.
Areas for Improvement:
Breakfast Inclusion Issue: Upon arrival, we were informed that breakfast was not included in our stay, despite my reservation indicating otherwise. I had to pull up my booking to confirm the inclusion of breakfast, which was an inconvenience.
Room Temperature: Our room was very cold upon entry, and the wall temperature control panel did not work. Although we were provided with a plug-in heater initially, it wasn’t sufficient to warm the room. When I raised this with the reception, they offered a second heater, which unfortunately did not work either. This issue was especially concerning as we were staying with a young child.
Overall Impression:
My stay so far has been disappointing, primarily due to the issues around room temperature and the initial mix-up regarding breakfast. I hope these can be addressed to improve future guest experiences.

Fault in room had to be moved. New room cold as only had oil heaters and broken door on cupboard.
Requested to be near other family members who booked with us…requested online and these family members were joining a day later the hotel Was reminded and it was noted on the system for them to be nearby but they were the other side of hotel.
Dinner 40mins to be served with drinks and dinner, had to ask for the table to be cleared and after waiting a total of 90mins we didn’t stay for pudding. 1 staff member for 30 people in restaurant…understaffed!
Breakfast if you don’t want tea or coffe you have to request hot chocolate but still only one coffee working for all guests.
Staff are polite but understaffed. Pool and poolside facilities redeemed this a bit, although the jacuzzi was still out of order.

Thoroughly enjoyed the service and the hotel in general. Beautiful, very peaceful. Staff are all very friendly and would deliver their best. Our room was very spacious, with a garden view on one side and the swimming pool just outside our door. Breakfast was nice, restaurant is also nice. Not far from Legoland. All in all, excellent place!

Lovely hotel set in beautiful grounds.
Nice spacious room, comfortable bed.
The room was, for us, too warm until we found the storage heater turned on full - so we turned it off. The en-suite was a good size with walk in shower. Shampoo, conditioner, shower gel etc were provided in dispensers.
Staff were very welcoming and professional.
The shared spaces were of good cleanliness and in excellent repair.
The hotel is very handy for Ascot race course.

The staff welcomed us and were friendly. When we arrived at the pool it was being filled with a hose. The steam room did not smell fresh and was not that steamy. It would be good to have some essential oil smell in there. The jacuzzi was also out of order all weekend which was a shame.
We had a club sandwich for lunch which was really delicious.
The breakfast buffet had lots of choice although food ran out quickly. There was also no brown sauce available in the hotel! The red sauce was in cafe sachets.

Was a brilliant stay, however just one negative, we were given a connecting room which we could hear everything from the occupants, so would make sure if we stay again we would not have this situation!

No air conditioning at the height of Summer is simply unacceptable and the hotel couldn’t do anything for us other than give us fans, it’s also not very family friendly almost as if families are looked down on. During our visit we stuck to rules by parking in the car park but no one else did they simply parked right outside the entrance with no one policing this, what makes it worse is that the gravel you have used makes it almost impossible to push a buggy across it. Air conditioning was the worst we were constantly lied to that it would be fixed tomorrow etc but there are no plans to fix and if you look at past reviews this has been an issue for over two months, it was so uncomfortable in the room due to this and zero compensation offered by the hotel

I booked this hotel for a 1 night stay over during the 30 degree heat to have a nice air con room! I arrived late and left early so no chance to raise this to staff without calling but was out of hours and I was tired! Air con not working in room £100 a night could have got somewhere a lot cheaper and maybe air con but never shopped around as it’s just what you expect at the Hilton

Lovley hotel with a country manor house kinda feel about it, great staff and overall very happy with my stay. Only thing is maybe some bits of the hotel are a little bit dated

Lots of parking and a nice pool for the kids. The hot tub was not in use - which I did know at time of booking. The sofa bed hadn't been made up - but housekeeping sorted this out straight away! Staff were very friendly. We had a good night's sleep.

The A/C was not working and it was very hot
2.0 / 5.0
Generally a comfortable room but a constant noise in the room was disturbing - turned off the a/c but the noise was still there. Reception staff were friendly and pool was very good. Unfortunately breakfast was dreadful and a waste of money our grandchildren didnt fancy anything - we went into Wokingham to have an excellent breakfast at Chalk for the same money.

Everything is amazing. Also, the staff are super kind. Many thanks to the staff on the buffet and the bar, and special thanks to Angelica and Adrian at the reception. They are great!

It was a great stay, the only item that wasn’t working was the air conditioner, and I don’t think it was just my room. But they did supply a fan that was already in the wardrobe.

Very unfriendly reception staff.
Pool was close ( no notice).
The food was horrible ( burnt steak, burger). Nothing seemed fresh.

Hotel overbooked so gave our room away!
Eventually a room was found to be free but had been slept and possibly used as a staff refreshment room. Bathroom was filthy, towels missing, aircon broken, and carpet torn. The check in staff seemed to have little concern!! Just arrived back and will be raising the issue with the general manager

We stayed at this hotel as it was convenient to where we were going, initially the room was fine but due to a very large wedding there seemed to be not enough staff to attend normal guests. We asked for our room to be moved to a quieter part of the hotel which the receptionist did without question so could not fault her at all. Lovely property but think if they have an event going on they should advise other customers beforehand as we would not have stayed here had we known

more than adequate 4 star hotel. Noting special. B'fast a little expensive.
1.5 / 5.0
Not enough staff on reception to check in and out. Swimming pool closed for the whole of our stay and we chose this hotel because of the pool. No one answering room service as too busy and again not enough staff. Had to go to the restaurant to order room service then they wanted me to pay £5 tray fee even though I had to go there myself!
1.5 / 5.0
The rooms and lounge area were plenty comfortable and staff were very friendly here. My main issue was the noise level across the hotel. Perhaps I was just unlucky with my room but the walls were very thing and my room had a shared door (which was locked of course) but the next room was very audible both throughout the evening and early in the morning. This meant for a disturbed sleep unfortunately.
I found the food at the restaurant rather expensive and ended up opting for a burger (which was the cheapest option at £22) and it was nothing special for the price.
