We went to Mamounia to celebrate my 80th birthday. The hotel was superb, friendly helpful staff, and we had a fabulous time.
On my birthday a beautiful chocolate cake and bottle of champagne were delivered to our room with the hotel’s compliments.
We will certainly go again.

It is always a delight to stay at Manounia. The splendour and intricacies of Moorish-Andalusian architecture and design lavishly unites with the Art Deco styles of the early 20th century, while offering subtle hints of the Berber architecture of the Saharan south, to create a mesmerizing palace honouring the best of Morocco. Even the pool doesn’t disappoint, with temperatures hovering at the 40 degrees, the pool remains at a cool 20 C. The room was spectacular though the mattress was rather hard. Nonetheless, it is strongly recommended for anyone desiring to have a royal experience in the land of the King!

Splendid hotel. Majestic. Overall an amazing experience.

Their policy about food is unfair for people with food intolerances and allergies. Basically they won't let you bring any food in the hotel, and will look in your bags to check what you have there! Then, they'll tell you to order from the room service; but the room service does have any gluten-free alternative outside rice cakes for bread for instance. I'm gluten and lactose-intolerant, I barely ate anything in the hotel and never felt really comfortable there.
Check their policy before going there.

Beautiful and sophisticated while peaceful in a very busy and exciting city area

Being one of the most luxurious hotels in Marrakesh I was excited to stay here. It definitely lives up to its reputation and is opulent. The food was overpriced and average but I was okay with that knowing it was about enjoying the room. The spa was excellent, a very nice massage and the staff were very attentive. What disappointed me was when the air conditioning didn’t work for the entire night and I was left in a room that felt like a furnace after a 41 degree day. The night staff couldn’t do anything other than encourage me to open the windows. I woke up drenched in sweat and with the taste of the city fumes in my mouth. The duty manager the next morning refused to comp the room as i had booked via Expedia but offered to waive the fees for my spa, pool side lunch and gave me an airport transfer. All in all it wasn’t quite the experience I had expected for such a premium rate

This hotel is unbelievable in its attention to details from when you arrive until you leave. The personal touch is there from the start when they check you in with refreshments on the couch. You are called by your name all the time. The building, decor and gardens are spectacular. I could go on about them all day long.

Staying here is an experience. A heritage hotel with an amazing history. Both interior and exterior are superb. The staff are excellent as are facilities.
It is expensive but you have to pay for quality

While the hotel was beautiful and the spa treatments amazing, which we enjoyed, thr service and room issue wasn't up to par for this type of hotel.
There were many staff who were kind and helpful. The laundry service was quick too. HOWEVER, upon check in we didn’t receive clear information about the hotel, showm around, etc like many nice hotels and thr concierge was not clear how cloae in walking distance the nice area of Guelliz or the Koutobia was to the hotel and we had wasted a lot of extra time taxi around. We even asked if it was just across the way and they said no but upon leaving for the airport we saw due to the route thr driver took that it was all right there. As guests that should have been shown on the map or made clear especially when we asked.
The bigger issue though was plumbing problems upon check in. Coming off an international flight and having issues with both bath and then shower so maintenance came twice to fix within first 24hrs was highly inconvenient and poor treatment as a guest in such a grand hotel. No compensation was offered until i mentioned it and they sent up an apology note and bottle of wine i cant drink (he never checked first or offered to just comp a meal or some cocktails we put to the room). The worst part was that the head of guest relations, didn’t comprehend the issue fully since it was fixed. He instead gave a bag with. heavy diffuser when we're heading to the airport. Ridiculous & cheap response for this hotel.

Wow for a lack of better word. The La Mamounia experience has been unparalleled. From moment of check in to checkout, everyone was so kind and always trying to help. The restaurants were superb and the Sunday brunch was exquisite. The tours were comfortable and spot on to what we wanted to do. All recommendations for outside the hotel were also spot on. We had the most memorable time. We will definitely be back!
We must give a shout out to Marouane, the guest relations manager. He greeted us by name each time he saw us and always inquired how we were doing and if there was anything he could do. We were very well looked after. Nothing was too much to ask for. Thank you Marouane!

I don't think there is a better hotel in the world. This hotel makes other 5 star hotels appear pedestrian.

Literally the best hotel in the world - and I have stayed at many many hotels.
One example of the service - when you go swimming a person comes over and lens cleans your sunglasses that you left on your sunbed
Literally perfect - the rest of my life will not be as good

It’s an impressive property. Architecturally unbelievable and amazing. The rooms, for such a high caliber property, were disappointingly small. I’ve stayed in $80 best westerns that were more spacious.

Food at the Asian restaurant was HORRIBLE and party of 5 all hated our food Concierge desk was worthless and mishandled a number of requests. Camera was stolen from my room and staff was unhelpful. Most restaurants closed most of the time.
