Very old building…air/heat was difficult to control as the thermostat was way too high to read. Show did not work only a slow trickle.
2.5
Comfortable, affordable, and central

Took over an hour to even find the office to check in - very difficult to find - no breakfast included - burnt coffee - just altogether a horrible time - will never recommend this place to anyone.

The air conditioning is dated and not functioning well. No iron. Loved the massage chair! Bed was comfortable and the room was clean!

Price was great. Our room was on the second floor. The rooms wasn't renovated like the ones on the first floor. But acceptable for sure,Great location.

The room was nice. However, there were a few minor issues, such as the WiFi wasnt reaching the 2nd floor, and the programmed tv remote didnt work.

Older hotel. Needs updating. AC made room musty smelling. Not worth price if you’re staying for a concert in the area. They jack the price up. The connecting Irish pub restaurant has really good food and service.
5.0
Close to the concert venue and right across from the casino

Check in took forever the front desk clerk wouldn’t stop talking! Wifi does not work in room. Had a terrible time trying to connect. Finally connected to wifi from casino hotel next door.

I was in town to see a concert at the Maine Savings Amphitheater. I was looking for lodging close to the venue. After doing some online research, I chose the Fireside Inn and Suites. Great value for the money. Thoroughly enjoyed Geaghan’s Pub and Brewery located next door as well. I would definitely recommend staying there. Should I be in the Bangor area again, I would not hesitate to stay there again.

Good value for modest accomodations. Obviously it's dated but it's your best priced overnight stay on concert nights. Beds were comfortable with lots of pillows. It's the first hotel where they provide a dehumidifier to counter the ice cold air conditioner. Lots of plugs for your devices. Even had a microwave along with a fridge. TV was modern and big with lots of channels.

The place was clean. It was conveniently located near the amphitheater and Hollywood casino. Unfortunately no breakfast but we ate at another restaurant nearby. Everything was walking distance. Comfortable stay!

Price did not match the value.

Kind of agree with past reviews as to being somewhat dated but Not Bad! Price for room reasonable, quite clean, although a little small, all that we needed. I would stay there again.

Nice room , comfortable bed ,great restaurant. There were some hooligans hanging around after dark, no issues though

Check-in was a headache. After that, all good.
Spacious room/small bathroom. Comfortable bed, plenty of outlets. Gas fireplace !! Directly across street from Hollywood Casino, 4 block walk from downtown. Huge parking lot. Bar/restaurant on site and worthwhile. Clean, but dated. Definitely would benefit from new carpet and paint, if that matters to you.

Front desk was awesome. Hotel is run down and smells musty. There was also mold in one of our rooms.

Room was nice. Could smell cigarettes (smoking) all around though. Requested a room on first level at check-in due to wife having bad knees. They could not accommodate. Said they were booked. Wife had to climb stairs. No elevator.

Great location for the music venue! Clean hotel with nice Irish bar and great food. Old motel, 2 floors, walk up to second floor, updated Would stay again, right off highway

No grab bar in the shower...and no elevator for us old folks, but I realize I should have asked first and got an accessible room, because it's an older hotel. The room was spotless and even included a fireplace! The pub food at the restaurant there was incredible! The shepherd's pie was to die for!!

Overall I had a very nice stay here, it was very good for the price I paid. My room was very comfortable and clean, it was conveniently very close to the Maine Savings Amphitheater and the staff I encountered were all very friendly and kind. However the decor was outdated and not in the best of condition. My shower had a lot of rust around the edges and also the hot water was very confusing to figure out, it took about 15 minutes of me standing in lukewarm water to get it to get it to a comfortable temperature. My neighbor had a little dog that barked for about 20 minutes straight the minute I got to my room which was very annoying, however thankfully it stopped once the owners came back and it didn’t happen again. I also love that it had a restaurant to very conveniently get food from whenever I wanted to and the food was very good too. I also love that it had a fridge, microwave, Keurig in the room with actually good coffee AND free parking, unlike many other hotels I’ve stayed at over the years. Overall I enjoyed staying here and I would do it again if given the chance to because these were all very minor things and personally I felt like this place is a great place to stay if you want a cheap hotel and don’t feel like paying 250+ per night like all the other ones in the area, very worth it in my opinion.

Wi-Fi was not good. I Had to go down to lobby a few times for better service. Entrance parking lot a bit awkward. Area was quiet and mattress comfy.
3.0
The refrigerator was broken. Finding the entrance was confusing you actually go in at the restaurant. The restaurant was fantastic!

Upon check in, turned out to at our non-smoking room must not always have been that. The stench of cigar was strong. When I told the front desk, the response was ‘sorry about that.’ The overall state of the hotel is super dated, with scrapes and stains everywhere. Location was great for what we needed but would def not return or recommend.

Friendly front desk, clean rooms

The staff were all very helpful and courteous. Even though the inn is older, it is obvious that it has been well maintained. Our room was very clean. There is AC in each room. Thank goodness for this as there was a heat wave while we were there. The inn is within walking distance to the Maine Savings Amphitheater. Parking is easy. There are several entrances from the parking lot so it is convenient to carry your luggage in. I didn't notice an elevator so anyone with mobility issues should request first floor.

great location. easy to go any direction.

Older style rooms but clean and comfortable. Great restaurant and location for attending a concert
