Great location. Our room was very clean and tidy.
As we were down for a soccer tournament we didn’t spend much time there but it was a very nice place to come back to. The only drawback, and it was a very minimal issue for us was that our bathroom door didn’t close properly as the door would rub on the trim.

Have stayed here a few times before now. Hotel is in a great location - near a bus and G-Link Stop. Would stay here again.

We had no water in the morning ... the whole hotel was without water for hours and the stuff was useless and unfriendly .. the only answer was, its not our fault.
Well is it the fault of the customer ?!? there was no good will from there side ... when you pay a hotel with shower and bathroom .. you normally want to use it .. but it was not possible the whole morning.

Wasn't happy with paying top dollar and not having guaranteed parking.
Then there was the Cockroaches running around.

Parking for vehicle poor, when returning at evening had to park away in street. Not great if older or single person at night and as rainy wasn’t great.
Would stay elsewhere if parking is required

The shower in the bathroom needs attending to as it is about to break and fall off the wall.

This was a horrible experience.
Terrible staff , no parking when it advertised parking .
They have 1 bedroom units with 5-6 people sharing and their cars fill the underground parking so nowhere to park .
You have to park up to a 15 minute walk from the building !!
They charge you to use a pool towel !!!
Wifi doesn’t not work well at all .
Never stay here !

Absolutely shocking. 2 years ago stayed at the mantra was awsome this time decided to try the sovereign and was majorly dissapointed. The 1 lady i delt with at the desk was arrogant and rude, the hotel is outdated with poxy bathrooms and broken shower screens. The rooms are mostly double dormed so theres a door that you share with your neighbouring room to access yours (every time they go in and out it slams shut during the night waking you) the rooms are not cleaned every day so your sheets are there all week and there is an extra charge to get them changed during your stay. Same goes for bath towels no fresh towels every day and if you want fresh you pay extra. You also pay extra for using the glasses and stuff supplyed in the rooms. You also pay extra if they need to empty the supplied garbage bin to the room. Just an all round joke. Oh not to mention the railing on the balcony is ready to fall off if you lean on it. And you arnt allowed to have a smoke on the balcony if you do UPCHARGE lol

Nice and quiet hotel for my family stay. Not fancy but clean and reasonable sized rooms with microwave and kettle. My daughter loved the pool and the big spa available.
Whilst it isn't central to Surfers Paradise, I liked the location and wasn't too far away from the tram stop if you don't fancy walking too far.
Also, nice walk along the river/canal really close which is lovely.
The only thing that was annoying was the parking as space was very limited, street parking was an option though.
Also only got a clean/fresh towels and linen once a week included in the price which was surprising, but the staff were lovely and accommodating whenever I asked for their help.

Service was excellent and went out of their way to help us feel at home thank you sovereign

Really enjoyed our stay. Parking is very limited and can’t be reserved so there is a good chance you may need public parking. When needed the hotel next door had public parking for $24 per day.

Average quality all around but to be expected for budget price

Room is fair, facilities like pool, spa and sauna are good. But no daily cleaning service and you have to pay for fresh sheets or towels. This should have been advertised as an unserviced apartment rather than a hotel. I note there is also a cleaning fee if room or dishes need cleaning afterwards!

It was a great stay but the parking was limited and had to park at the Marriott for a night. Was a little noisy from other guests in the hotel.

Staff were great. The room was clean and spacious and the spa was good only thing we did like was the false fire alarm we got that woke us but other than that... great stay and quiet...but of a walk to bars and restaurants but good
