Clean room. It had clearly been updated recently but there were a few things that hadn’t been updated that really stand out compared to what is new such as the dirty scratched doors and old hair dryer. The customer service however was very poor. The booklet in the room said we could ask for an outlet converter/adapter so we called to ask and they said they didn’t have anything like that and it was a stupid question. So our phones died and we were unable to communicate during the rest of our time in Togo because they did not fulfill what they offered. They also charged a tax per person once you get there that was unexpected.

We were a family of 4 traveling for a family event and arrived on July 20 for a one week stay. We had two bungalows and both had molds. The staff at the front desk were very unprofessional and unfriendly. Only the staff at the two restaurants were courteous and friendly. Will not stay there again.

I had three separate reservations for my family of seven with confirmation numbers from Expedia. On arrival I was told they don't care about such confirmation numbers and spent almost two hours arguing with them before we were allowed to check-in. The staff were untrained and unprofessional. I would never stay there. We spent only three nights, even though we had paid online for four nights and decided to move to Hotel 2 Fevrier for the remainder of our stay in Lome.

Nice and big enough well maintained territory. Perfect place for meetings

First error was booking through Hotels.com because they advertised a discount that doesn't exist, the hotel gave me a sub-standard room. The room service never left any drinking water saying it's not included in my booking. Really! The substandard room was below average.
Break fast is excellent. If you like doing sports in morning or evening there are great facilities. The hotel needs some investment

The bed was UNCOMFORTABLE. Hard as a rock. Television did not work. No hot water - luke warm water.

Sarakawa has improved for the time being. Safe, nice and at the same time reasonable hotel on Lome.

The property has a lot of potential, spacious and imposing but should be renovated. Beach was closed and golf course unusable. Staff was great, attentive and friendly.

The hotel is good and functional. As a business trip, I was not concerned with the non-access to the beach although this could be a let down for holiday makers. The pool area is quite good. The breakfast buffet needs to be upgraded to cater to various pallets.
I had a problem with the hot water for the first day of a 3 day stay so that was not so good but overall a decent stay.

I would never stay in this hotel again. The restaurant staff at rude, they lack training and the rooms were not comfortable at all. I have had to change rooms 4 times. The Acs in the rooms don't work, maintainance is non existent. I did not have value for money and it is my worst hotel experience and I'll never ever do there again.

All went well except for the air conditioning unit that was leaking water inside the room.
The person that took me to my room noticed it, told me that he was going to send someone, never saw anybody...

I came to Togo right around the outbreak of Coronavirus in West Africa, the hotel remained open only to those who arrived before and took all the necessary precautions and protective measures to keep their employees and few remaining guests safe! The facilities are high quality, the food is superb and the staff is exceptional!!

I booked this for a beach vacation and the hotels beach was closed - this was not mentioned to me beforehand or even at check-in time. Room not ready at check-in time. TV reception in room was unwatchable; asked to have it fixed and they were unable to. Room supposed to have bottled water but there was none; I asked for it and was told someone would bring it but never did. Other little things not worth mentioning. Kudos to the guys in the inside-hotel bar, who provided the only friendly, efficient service I experienced here.

My family and me stayed for 3 nights. It’s an old hotel. They can update their rooms furniture, amenities and facilities. It’s a beachfront hotel which doesn’t give access to the beach because of security reasons. Me and my family were quite disappointed to this point. As a result, everyone stays around the swimming pool and lot of times we couldn’t find space to stay. So we spent daytimes paying an extra fee for beaches ont the hotel around. Our family room with 2 bedrooms had a kitchen with gas cocker but it didn’t work. There were not matches to turn on the gas, no cutlery, no dishes. The big fridge worked very well. ACs were very old. Wifi wasn’t strong in a room so we had to move to kids bed room for using it. The restaurants inside hotel were excellent. Price was very high but they make excellent French cuisine and you can have huge choice in each restaurant. Their Yamaha grand piano near the reception needs to be tuned.

Excellent Location and Venue. Clean room and close to everything. I enojoyed the morning inclusive breakfast and the walk at the beach shore.

Although the building was constructed several decades ago and has elements of 60's opulence, the modern day version is still absolutely wonderful, with excellent service, all the amenities and all together is an oasis of comfort. The restaurants are priced internationally and are disproportionate to the rest of the city, but the lodging is attractively priced making for a pleasant stay!

The grounds and facilities are wonderful. The pool is top notch. The food is good. However, the room itself is a tad stale. However, by Lome standards, it was a nice hotel.
We had trouble with the Wi-Fi and our key kept deactivating. We also were hit with some city tax which is odd because usually Hotel.com is all inclusive.

Room was clean and comfortable. The"free" airport shuttle only leaves at 6:30 a.m. or 10 a.m. Had to take a taxi or arrive 5 hours in advance of my flight. Only one free breakfast included for 2 people.

Stayed one night on a 24 hour layover in Lome. The grounds are very nice and the pool is great. Food very good but western prices. Most disappointed by the fact there is no direct access to the beach; you can see the beach, just cant go there. Stayed in a bungalow. The interior of these is a bit dated, but very large and spacious. Airport shuttle did not depart until 10 in the morning, which made it a little tight getting through all the security and to the gate. Overall, though, comfortable place to rest up before long flight the next day.

I spent 3 nights at the Sarakawa Hotel in Lome, it is an exquisite hotel if a bit expensive. The gardens and swimming pool are lovely as is the hotel décor. However, what was disappointing was that any meal or drink had to be paid for at the time of requesting. They do not have an option to bill your room, which gives the impression that the hotel does not trust the guests. Finally the front desk staff are extremely helpful and greeting you by name each day is a very nice touch.
