A great stay.

The staff was exceptionally nice. I would definitely stay again.

This hotel is great for views, being close to the beaches but far from the noise, and feeling like you're getting a Mexico experience in a fairly touristy town. It's the kind of place that hasn't changed in a while, in a good way. The stairs are real, but not that bad. My biggest room for improvement would simply be to replace some of the lightbulbs with warmer ones.

Pros:
Close to the Romantic Zone and easy to walk to restaurants & entertainment.
Reasonable price.
Nice pools and public areas.
Cons:
Stairs, stairs, stairs, and more stairs. Be prepared to climb a lot of stairs. Not for the faint of heart.
Suite had a very strange layout and there was no room to walk around the small bed.
No A/C - good luck during warmers days.
Furniture was old a dated, but clean.
Shower floor was a bit dirty.
A lot of road noise.

Super unuque place built on a hill. Lots of stairs but that wasn't an issue for me. Rooms have a full kitchen. Close to everything. Tons of character. I would definitely stay again.

Beautiful views and perfect location! Would for sure stay here again.

Has great ocean views as well as beautiful property grounds on the outside. Was told there was a heated pool. Neither pool was warm enough to use. The room I was given had old worn out couch and bedding cover smelled of sweat. Pillows needed replaced due to smell and discoloration from it. No privacy in living area as the curtains were transparent because of rod being broken wear the curtains to provide shade and privacy were absent. Spoke with management and was dismissed. Traveling as a solo female these things matter.

The property is aestheticly beautiful with a nice view. There are no elevators and the stairs are treacherous to say the least (steep, wet, no handrails). Our room had no air conditioner. Pools were very cold. The room was spacious and well appointed with appliances and a nice balcony and a living area. There were some electric issues (shocked when using one of the light switches. The mattress was thin and hard. The hotel is a great value. No food service but Uber Eats available.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. There were 3 pools and an amazing view of the ocean. The only problem i had was that the property is on the side of the hill so there are lots of stairs. Lots! But other than climbing the stairs i would definitely stay again.

Very clean casitas, beautiful views! Friendly and helpful staff. Got our cardio in with all the steps. Too many steps to our room... On site laundry and jug of water at low cost. Walking distance to malecon boardwalk. Make sure you get a room with air-conditioning. It can get hot 🔥 in vallarta. Our room had 2 ceiling fans and a nice cool breeze at night! Will be back soon God willing 🤗🙏. Thanks to Gerardo for the room upgrade! Very much appreciated.

Property is great and Ivan at the reception was exceptional.

Such a charming little place. Staff was super friendly and helpful. The traffic noise was excessive but the hotel can't control that! It would be nice if there were railings on the endless stairs for those not sure-footed. We would stay here again.

Property is old but well kept. The steps to my room were 101, that's right 101 steps to my room, exhausting!

Casa Anita; was OK. Our stay was March 7, 2023 - March 21, 2023.
We knew there would be lots of stairs, after coming and going 3 - 4 times a day at 102 steps (we counted) to our room; it was a bit much. Not a place for anyone with health issues.
Lots of maintenance going on during our stay.
Beds are old and hard, springs could be felt and need updating. The kitchenette, in our room # 10 needs a deep cleaning. Heavy sticky grease from cooking can be felt on all surfaces.
Staff were very friendly, housekeepers were there everyday. So that was good.
Overall, it was OK. Due to the amount of stairs I wouldn’t recommend this place for anyone over 30 years old, and not handicap friendly.
We paid $140.00 Canadian / night. We feel it was an $80.00 / night, stay. Over priced considering everything. But all the prices for everything in PV has gone up considerably.

Very nice hotel with very accommodating staff. Ivon, the desk manager was exceptionally helpful and kind.
The lovely building is in the hillside, so there are many stairs to climb, plus it’s uphill from the restaurants. Healthy, tho. 😜

We were told that it was one floor up to our room. When we got there, it was two floors up to get to the lobby.
There were no railings on the side of the stairs, making it totally unsafe to try to ascend these two flights of stairs to get to the lobby. I had told the staff repeatedly, that one of us was handicapped, I feel like we were disregarded and lied to. Never made it to the room.

Front desk reception was handled well. They were very attentive to our needs and the best part of the stay.

Lots of steps, but the view from our room was well worth the climb

Property under construction as they are going condo. No spa services although still advertised.
Staff very friendly...property very clean although had small ant problem. Lots of stairs, great work out. Lots of street noise. Great view from rooms.

Nice place to stay. Their was no air conditioning in our place, ceiling fan in the living room. There was a window in the bedroom with a curtain but there was no glass in it. Maybe for airflow. But you could hear talking from people going up and down the stairs. Lots of stairs, our room was 120 steps up. We enjoyed our stay, staff was friendly.

Great location, heaps of room, just needs a little love. But this was happening while we where there. Very kind staff

There's no service after 5:00 so if you arrive after that time you're out of the hotel you have to be in fabulous condition if everything is working now stairs

Very poorly kept place and the room had no AC which made it unbearable to be in.
1.0 / 5.0
We got there and our room wasn’t ready until about an hour later the receptionist was all over the place. The guest restroom was awful with old poop sitting on the toilet. We didn’t get our room cleaned because there was only one worker. We asked for more towels but those were never brought so we ran into the cleaning lady and got them. There’s no AC so one of the nights was not comfortable the other two the wind blew and the ceiling fan helped out. The refrigerator didn’t even work well the freezer worked better. The sofas were all dirty the bed was very uncomfortable and hard. There’s no elevator so there’s so many stairs to go up just to get to your room and after going down and coming up you kinda dread doing it again.

I stayed at Hotel Casa Anita for two nights. It was very clean and comfortable. Wear your walking shoes because there is no elevator at this picturesque hotel! It has amazing architecture, though. The steps themselves are beautiful!
To economize, I stayed in the cheapest room, but I think I had the best view! I got to see the beautiful sunset over the Pacific Ocean. There is a picture of this great view online in the advertisement.
There was no hairdryer in the room so I had to ask for one. Also, my room was missing the hotel book which informs you about what you need to know. The hotel is convenient to the beach. You just have to walk 5 minutes along the little road, which has a convenience store, and then turn left down the steep hill along the narrow street which takes you to the beach. That is about a 10-minute walk to the beach on a quaint, narrow shopping street. I had breakfast at a little place called "Coffee Cup", a nice omelette with egg and tomato, along with toast and fruit. Later in the day, I had a delicious fish dinner at a wonderful restaurant called "Si Senor", located near the bottom of that little street, and opens onto the beach, itself. The waiters were professional and friendly. My waiter, Luis, made me an excellent Caesar Salad to go with my dinner.
Everyone at Hotel Casa Anita was so kind, helpful, and welcoming, including Geraldo and Ivan, the managers at the front desk. I definitely would stay there again!

Casa Anita, although a bit away from all the commotion, is a nice respite from the beach. No frills but clean and cheaper than other places. Staff is very helpful as well.

Older well maintained hotel located on a hill overlooking Puerto Vallarta. Beautiful views from the balcony. Close to taquerias, bakeries, shops but with a climb back up the hill which could be a bit of a challenge.

It was very charming and a large suite. We had an excellent Ocean view the pools were beautiful but needed a little bit of maintenance. Our room was extremely clean and we couldn't really be happier we would definitely stay again. The location was Superior as it is walking distance to the romantic zone and a quick drive to everything!
