It was a quick layover as we traveled further into Mexico by car. It’s a beautiful hotel inside and out. The room was really pretty and the bed was comfy. The staff was very nice and the parking was free.

Nice property with a beautiful building and gardens, you can enjoy the patio in a relax atmosphere, feeling safe and secure. My only recommendation will be to change the carpets, at lease the one in my room was too old and feel dirty.

We used to like coming here, but this time it has gone downhill. everything’s very old and the carpets are very dirty. Elevators weren’t working and even got stuck one day. Sad to see a such a nice place go down.

The historical property was nice looking exteriorly, the lobby and pool area. Staff was very professional and kept short and cold. The initial room we received smelled so bad like mold I instantly got a headache. I went to the front desk and complained and asked for a room change. The manager told me they were aware and the hotel was in the process of making changes but that everyone room would be the same. She wasn’t too happy about me asking. We got to look at another room and it was better but the carpet was still Terrible. This room didn’t have a balcony like the initial one but it was the same price. The cords to the lamps were wrapped with duct tape used as repairing mechanism. The tub was a broken down jacuzzi that they added a non- movable shower head that I had to lean forward to shower as it wasn’t long enough and I had to climb into the tub. The vent to heater shot air from the wall straight to our bed and it was full of dust…

The property is very nice, but it needs some updating in the rooms. The room was very spacious, but the carpet in the room needs to be replaced. It was pretty old and dirty. Also, there is not enough lighting in the bathroom, making it difficult to put on make up. Lastly, we had a room that connected to a second room. We could clearly hear all of their conversations.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful, loved the old colonial style and the courtyard. Great service and location. My only complaint was that the carpet in the room has seen better days and needs updating.

I used to love this hotel but after my stay this past week I was very disappointed. As soon I walked into the hotel, the first thing I noticed was the filthy furniture!!! Stains all over and very old. When I was checking in I asked the receptionist if they received my request to please replace the goose down pillows on the bed because I am allergic and she said everything was taken care of. When I got to the room, I noticed they had removed the pillows but did not replaced them. It turns out they don’t have any other kind of pillows. Had to sleep on towels…not very comfortable. The next morning called room service and no answer. Tried for 30 minutes and no answer!!! Put some clothes on to go to Starbucks next to the lobby but it has been closed. Walked to reception and asked if they could contact room service and she said for me to call and handed me the phone. Receptionist noticed no one would answer and she suggested for me to walk across the street and get coffee there, unbelievable!!! Second day I tried room service again and no answer. For the next 5 days had to go across the street and had coffee and breakfast at Chaires, great service, recommend this place. Also, the carpet in the bedroom is old and stained. All carpets need to be replaced. And finally, no more mini bars in the rooms. This beautiful hotel used to be fabulous but not anymore, what a shame.

What a beautiful old gem. The hotel is very grand, the rooms spacious and dining options on site was perfect. We were traveling with our small dog so the main floor room with the huge, secure courtyard was perfect.

This was a very nice stay in spite of a few drawbacks. The room was spacious and nicely appointed. I'm a coffee drinker so when we were given just one cup of coffee for the room between the two of us, I was a little tweaked. The coffee maker was a very odd style that took some lessons from the staff to operate. Then they told us not to drink from the tap but only supplied one bottle of water between the two of us.
