Lovely place, with beautiful reception area, you see that it has been grand. However you also see that the hotel overall is old and in need of renovation. the pool needed cleaning (but that was general for all our stays in Botswana) and the bar at the pool was closed in the afternoon!! They was 2 girls but the answer was closed!! Luckily a young man came by and he accommodated us (we saw that he walked to the other bar to get our orders) We had a massage all 3 and it was really good.

It is an excellent (and reasonably priced) property to stay at in Kasanee. Note that all hotels in Kasanee town use the same provider to drive or boat you into Chobe National Park. No matter where you stay, you'll see the same animals.

This hotel has potential to be fantastic but it lacks five star qualities. Reception staff were great - helpful and informative. Ordering food seems to be a problem- always takes long. Food menu could be better - the daily buffet lacked variety and not great to see flies on some of the dishes - staff just don’t seem to be on top of things. Hospitality is good - special shout out to Banks. The spa lacks imagination - presentation and spa ambience is lacking, but the massage was very good. The gym has outdated equipment and rusting dumbbells - not worth visiting. We Won’t be returning soon.

We didn't feel super welcomed here. There were lots of inconveniences due to terrible service that could have been avoided. For example, I confirmed pick up at the airport a few days before but when we got there on time, no one was there to get us. We had to ask the airport to call them. I asked about a tour to Zambia for Victoria Falls. The hotel said that wasn't possible. I asked them to double check and I never got a response. They did end up setting it up for us but our drive around Zambia was super sketchy, running his own errands the whole time. The food was also extremely expensive, especially considering the bad quality. They also tried to charge us double for a Chobe safari so we booked through another hotel. When we left, I asked ok so are we all good, do we need my credit card again? She said no and we left. Ten minutes later, our driver got a call and we turned around-turns out we did need to swipe our card again. Not sure why she hadn't done that while I was there and even asked her...also, expect a hour for anything. A chicken sandwich via room service will take a hour. A refill for an iced tea at lunch will take 15 minutes. Overall, service was awful for the price they charge. Worst service we've had in awhile...

The service could be slow, but overall our stay was lovely. We had a minor issue with our room the first evening, but were swiftly moved into another (and upgraded) room. Great setting, amazing excursions and local guides...and of course, the wonderful views.

The hotel staff at reception were fantastic checking in and out as well as the activities desk superb.
The rooms are dated but clean, the wifi is touch and go depending on where you are with in the resort.
The food is average and over priced and not 5 star quality !! The staff in restaurant was ok but not again 5 star.
Pool area was shabby and need a good clean and a lot of TLC again not worthy of a 5 star resort.
Empty bottles and glasses left out on tables around pool area for 2 days no one cleans up!!
Hotel Setting lovely but let down from the lack of maintenance.
Overall a 2-3 star hotel at best but you are paying 5 star prices!! Would not recommend!!!

This hotel has all the amenities to compete with any world class hotel however it has not been well maintained for various reasons. Staff is pleasant but not always professionally trained. Emphasis is on catering to larger groups. Not disappointing but not as good as it could have been

We stayed in the Clinton Suite which was beautiful, very comfortable and spacious. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. An otherwise pleasant stay was marred by the fact that we had no wifi (our suite was apparently one of 2 which had no wifi (communication is very important to us so this did not go down well!). At over R6K per night, it was expensive compared to similar facilities.

I only wish my room had a clock in it. None of my motel rooms had them
in Africa though.

I used Mowana as a fishing lodge a few years back, my brother spent time at Katima Mulilo and said to me that I should visit this area, I did not till after he died of pancreatic cancer. The Chobe bewitched me when I did go and as a bucket list item for myself with bile duct cancer I have just returned to try and show my wife this area in a period of 4 days. achieved using Pyrus Eagles helicopter charter and Dream Safaris boat and guide charter.
