The room was very comfortable. Very roomy and clean, and the bed was comfortable. Loved the rug in front of the bathrom sink, and the large vanity in the bathroom. Also loved the breakfast. They offered pancakes, sausage, biscuits and gravy and eggs, along with the standard cold breakfast items. They even offered Peet's coffee and Royal Crest milk. Better than most hotel breakfasts.

The hotel underwent a lot of updates about 4-5 months ago. The reception area is very nice! My husband is an LED enthusiast and was very impressed with the Mt. Princeton LED display behind the desk. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied with our stay. The room was clean and beds were comfortable. Breakfast was really good with a lot of options for hot or cold. This hotel is nestled up to Midland Hill. I stood in the lot south of the hotel and watched the sunrise over the range around 7am. It was a moment of peace and wonder for this midwestern girl. If I am ever in the area again, I will definitely stay at BW - Vista Inn! Side note: I highly recommended Jade Garden Chinese Restaurant (5 min walk south of hotel). The sweetest family run business with the best sauces! Portions are smaller so ni need to split. I ordered "Happy Family" and will be dream of the day until I can have this again. Also, go off the beaten path and visit St. Elmo's ghost town. Its a nice little hidden gem that is fun for the whole family. My husband and I enjoyed the history. The kids enjoyed all the chipmunks crawling all over them and eating from their hands. Last, but definitely not least; if Independence Pass is open, take it! You will thank me for this review later. Drive safe!

Overall, very good place to stay in BV. It is a little dated, but they seem to take good care of it with lots of staff. Breakfast is great with 2 support staff working hard throughout b-fast hours. The View is a gift shop and coffee/ smoothie shop that is loaded with tons of gifts and knick knacks (huge shop). Rooms facing the mountains have incredible view.

For some reason, there isn't signage identifying the property from the street. Staff was wonderful: Cheerful, attentive, helpful, accommodating. Room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Breakfast was nice. Disappointing that the hot tub, that we really wanted to use after a cold morning of rafting, was not available due to an all-day cleaning.

We’ve stayed here twice in the past few years and have a good experience both times. We are generally in town for hiking and enjoying downtown BV. We have always had an easy check-in, good coffee from the cafe downstairs, and the rooms are clean and quiet. We are able to walk to and from downtown without a problem. Our only criticism would be to have better blackout curtains on the east-facing rooms for the people who want to sleep in while the sun comes up!

Recently refurbished, No Elevator for second floor, staff would not allow to move to a non Mountain View room. Windows are dirty to the Mountain View. Travel app users have limited options. “You should have called us direct. Out of five nights stays this is the worst. Not friendly 500.00 waiver required for damages with room inspections daily for your cleanup. Thinks this is five star, it’s a 27 year old property with lipstick. Shower has dirt build up in the corners.

The included breakfast is exceptionally good compared to similar hotels-- great variety of options. Pool is well maintained, but the hot tub could be hotter. Great stay!

Stay was good and service was good. They even called me when i forgot something! Cons: there was a black hair on the bathroom floor. Also the courtyard is cute but makes it feel more motel-like that you have to walk in the outdoors to your room.
