There was a Van Expo occuring on the parking lot, which was noisy on Friday and Saturday evening, a lot of people talking out loud in front of our windows and balcony until 1:00 AM. Also the restaurant across from our window was supposed to close at 9 PM, per the staff, on Saturday at 11:00 PM was still open and with loud music. The Hotel could have provided a room further away from this event, since they knew about the noise issues. The hotel was appear to be over 50% empty, They could have choosen to provide us a room further away from these activities.

Like the property overall but our unit was so-so. Bed soft, carpet worn, design random. Overpriced.

A great place to stay! Lots of dining and shopping options within a short walk of the hotel.

They gave us an upgraded room for no reason at no extra cost. The Hotel was pretty much empty so I'm sure it was to advertise. It was a nice suprise when opening our room door. The only negative I would say is that there was no central AC. They did supply a box fan. Would be nice if they had at least ceiling fans. All and all, it was a nice Clean Hotel and we very much enjoyed our stay. We would definitely stay here again.
4.0
The place was roomy and clean with a nice view. The beds were hard, awful hard pillows and loud portable a/c unit was marginally adequate. The lighting in the bathroom was atrocious, so dark and impossible to put on makeup. When we arrived the TV in the bedroom wasn’t plugged in and we couldn’t plug it in without dismounting it from the wall. We asked the front desk to plug in the TV which they did. The ceiling fan in the bedroom was either off or at very high speed. No remote or way to regulate speed. The A/C unit shut off in the middle of the night and the “clean filter” light came on. We asked for both of those to be fixed but they weren’t. All vanity light bulbs were burnt out in the half but were never replaced. The Mexican restaurant below us was noisy at night. The last night the power went out for four hours so we couldn’t pack. We just went to bed but the Mexican restaurant started playing Mexican music really loud outside and we couldn’t sleep with the windows open. We closed them and it was hot and stuffy with no air. Upon checkout we asked for some kind of a discount due to the inconvenience but they refused.

Pleasant stay at the Village at Palisades Tahoe, site of the old Squaw Valley ski resort, towards the end of July 2024.
Weather was great, and the resort was not busy at all. We had a 1 bedroom condo with king bed and two queen sofa beds, full kitchen, balcony, and access to gym, spa, and underground parking. Place was clean though it is showing its age. Full kitchen had enough to get by, but not fully stocked. We had to ask for paper towels, there was only salt and pepper for spices, no plastic wrap or aluminum foil, etc. King bed was OK. Overall the place was comfortable. Adequate dining options with a few restaurant, cafe, and yogurt shop.
We rented bikes and road along the Truckee river and did some other hikes. Didn't do the tram as it was pretty expensive.
One night they had some bands playing so that was a time with a lot of people.
People were friendly and helpful. We had to ask for more shampoo/conditioner, had to ask to have the portable AC unit exhaust hose to be reattached, and the elevator was out for about 30 minutes.
Overall, enjoyed the time there and might considering returning.

Everything was great except for the broken vending machine on our floor. Up late at night with not a lot of water options kinda did suck but everything else was great.

It is a beautiful resort and great view. It is a great location too. I would come back again.

We really enjoyed our summer stay at The Village. Room was great. The little village was quaint. I would love to come back in the winter as I'm sure it's a whole different experience. The staff was superb! All of them. Gary, Tristan, Katie. They were all wonderful. They went out of the way to upgrade our room when ours wasn't a good fit, helped us with tickets and activities. 5 stars for the staff alone!!

Incredibly clean, beautiful location! Was a great size for my family of 4 - perfect kitchenette. Would absolutely stay again!

Came during the summer with our family for a wedding nearby. Beautiful outdoors as always. We couldn’t figure out AC so just slept with the windows open. The pull out coach was kinda gross - stains on cushions, couldn’t tell if the sheets in the couch were clean, etc. the wifi works but not great for conference calls - i kept getting disconnected. The staff was nice and accommodated our late checkout request - past 1 pm it’s $25/hour which was reasonable.
Note - there are only 2 places to get breakfast in the village. The coffee shop was out of what seemed like everything from their breakfast menu and the other açaí bowl/smoothy place was just meh. I would bring breakfast stuff next time since the unit had a full kitchen.

Unique kind to be close at a site of the 1960 Winter Olympics.

Only giving 3 stars because there is no A/C in these rooms. I didn’t see that diclosed anywhere. You wil have to open the windows and use the box fans they provide. Other then that the room is nice.

This has become a family favorite. We've stayed here several times over the last few years and it never disappoints. The staff is friendly, parking is easy, floating the river is just a quick ride towards Tahoe. The rooms are so functional. Full kitchen, multiple bedrooms, plenty of gathering space for quality family time. Definitely planning to do it all over again next summer.

We loved this property! You wouldn’t have to leave if you didn’t want to! Restaurants, music, things to do. Close to Truckee and Lake Tahoe. Staff were very kind and helpful. We can’t wait to return to ski!

We enjoyed our stay at The Village at Palisades Tahoe. It is so fun to be right above all the shops and restaurants. We were there for Tuesdays Bluesdays and really enjoyed the live music and dinner at Fireside right across the walkway. Jane checked us in and was really helpful trying to get us a room as close as possible to the Tuesdays Bluesday stage so we could hear from our balcony.

The resort was amazing and we went up to escape the heat of where we live. The shops, restaurants, free Tuesday night concert, and beauty were great. Our room was fine and in a great location to all amenities outside. Our room's bathroom door scraped the floor when trying to close and would not secure so always stayed slightly open. Although a mobile room air conditioner was in the room it was still warm in the room as the temperature outside was fairly warm. Also, the direction of our room's windows faced the sun so the bright light woke us up early and started warming the room. up right away.

GREAT ROOMS AND PROPERTY
8.0
I like the view from the hotel room, except for some excavators and sandboxes in the parking lot.
6.0
Decent property but did not disclose there was no air conditioning so not a great option in the summer. Also the property is very noisy due to shops and restaurants.
10.0
Far less crowded and quiet area adjacent to Lake Tahoe.

Everything was perfect

It doesn’t have conditioner and it was really hot.
The sofa bed was really uncomfortable.
4.0
Beautiful room with beautiful views and plenty of space! No AC however. They just had little AC machines in the bedrooms but not in the living area or bathroom so it was 80+degrees. The AC machines were also very loud and it was hard to sleep because of the noise. I would stay here again but not in the middle of summer.
