Perfect attention to detail. All of the boxes checked to make us feel comfortable. Room was luxurious. Excellent snorkeling right off our private deck. Easy to check out paddle boards, kayaks, and snorkel gear. Comfortable and peaceful

An incredible location with very comfortable rooms and a tremendous staff. The service is friendly and accommodating and helpful at every single turn. I cannot say enough good things about what they do and offer: world class snorkeling, kayaking, paddle boarding, access to various water/boat trips… just truly amazing amenities and entertainment all located at the tip of your fingers. This is a magical place here on Moorea.

Beautiful hotel. The staff is helpful and friendly. The bungalows are roomy and lovely. The pool is perfect. The restaurants and breakfast - very good. Only one complaint- we ate in the main restaurant Sunday evening and the chef was clearly not there. Reheated French fries were inedible and other elements clearly not fresh. They should not open on Sundays.

Stayed in a water bungalow and it was absolutely worth it. Room service was great, food options were good. On site entertainment was nice and included interaction with my niece for her birthday. They provide kayaks and snorkeling gear at no charge. Pool was clean and not over crowded. Concierge help plan and book our excursions and car rental when we needed it. Breakfast was the only issue for me. Same thing EVERYDAY so that was hard because we stayed for 7 days.

This was a bucket list trip for us. We celebrated our 36th wedding anniversary and it was EVERYTHING you dream it to be! The staff were amazing, as was the food in the restaurants. We highly recommend Manava for your stay on Moorea! Mauruuru!!

A few of the people (mostly the men) were nice but most of the workers act like you’re putting them out and were unhelpful. Our room is not what I thought I had booked, and was disappointingly small. They were not interested in upgrading us and i would never stay there again. The food in the restaurant was not good. My steak was super tough. The bar restaurant was better. I’m not sure there’s any alcohol in the mixed drinks though. But the most unfortunate thing about the property despite its beautiful location you can’t actually enjoy the ocean unless you’re out in the overwater bungalows, the view from the pool and everywhere else is blocked by bungalows. The woman in the pearl shop was delightful and friendly. The omelette station people were fantastic. The grounds are beautiful and kept perfectly maintained. The room was wonderfully clean and the one towel guy was super awesome. I hope he has a nice day too. By the way, the pool is not warm.

The hotel is beautiful & the staff were friendly & helpful. Sadly, there were many missed opportunities for great service & errors in our stay that made our honeymoon disappointing overall.
For starters, we purchased dinner & a show ahead of time, but were still presented a full bill, even after showing our server our voucher. They fixed it the next day & sent us complimentary cocktails, which was nice but still an inconvenience.
Unfortunately, our experience kept getting worse. A front desk agent mistakenly called our room saying we needed to check out even though we had just arrived. He recognized his mistake & apologized.
After, we had asked for a small load of laundry to be done but were asked to count up our dirty Landry, account for every item and fill out a form so they could charge us. I explained that the price didn’t matter, we didn’t want to take away from our honeymoon experience to add up/ fill out paperwork. Again, not a big deal, but just another missed opportunity to offer great service & make it easier for us to relax & enjoy our honeymoon. We decided it was more convenient to do our laundry elsewhere.
Finally, at checkout, a bellman stopped by to let us know he would be getting our bags, but for some reason they weren’t available when our taxi came at 11:30. We had a reservation to get to & the hotel staff didn’t know where our luggage was at that time.
We received our luggage later (we had to come back) but were disappointed with our experience.

Property was quiet with wonderful views from our overwater bungalow. What detracted from our trip was the food. Our first night we ate at the restaurant on property where my husband ordered steak. He requested medium-well but it came practically raw and another gentleman at another table sent his back because it was chewy and inedible. I ordered pasta from the kids menu but was given an adult size portion. It was fine, no complaints. Each day we would eat breakfast at the buffet which was included with our stay. At the omelette station if the guy wasn’t working the eggs were not done. The fruit had gnats flying on the food, the prunes had a mess of gnats, and then birds would be eating the break right from the bread station with no regard to shew them away. I only liked the pineapple juice because the orange juice or tropical juices tasted more like rancid fruit than fresh squeezed. One night they had a special BBQ Buffett and other than not getting the bottle of water we ordered for 15-20 minutes, the food was good. I looked for the most burnt looking piece of chicken just to be safe, but loved all the hot veggie options. The other nights we ate off property. I wouldn’t recommend the grill across the street either for the steak skewers- green beans and fries were good though.
Lastly, the room could have used some insect deterrent. You couldn’t have any left overs because it would be swarmed with ants, including inside the fridge! There are large gaps at the door entrance.

Our stay at the Manava Beach Resort was very relaxing. The resort is lovely and offers great facilities. The hotel did its best to make us feel welcome especially the Front Office Manager Vivienne. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone, the snorkelling around the over water rooms is great and just love having the use of the Kayaks. Food & Drink a bit pricy.

Lovely spot but challenging for gluten free travellers. Although the a la carte dinner menu lists gf options, it was not available on the buffet night. The following day, the request for a gf burger, ie a naked burger, was an expensive fail. It arrived with hamburger buns. We found the food options next door and over the road better suited to our diet and budget.

Really clean, tidy and quiet. Staff were on the whole really helpful and friendly. Lovely pool. Food was great. Was close to Maharepa for access to shopping and supermarket.

The property is beautiful, not too large, with a nice swimming pool and easy access to the ocean. The room was very nice, roomy, and clean. I gave a 4-star rating because the restaurant was very expensive. I paid $22 for a continental breakfast, and $44 for a club sandwich from room service.

rooms were nice. breakfast included option made things easy. liked walkable options to other restaurants. the food truck with picnic tables right next door was good and we went there almost every evening to watch the sunset and they have happy hour!
liked the free snorkel equipment, paddle boards and kayaks available. the overwater bungalows do block the views which is a little bummer , but didn’t bother too bad. pool was cold but refreshing and never had a problem getting pool chairs which is nice! staff friendly and helpful!

It was above our expectation, this was our first time, my husband, teenage daughter and I. This was to celebrate my 40th birthday so we splurged for the premium over water bungalow and it did not disappoint! Would highly recommend this once in a lifetime experience!

We absolutely loved our trip here. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. Being able to snorkel right from our own deck was outstanding. The included amenities of paddle boards and equipment was great. The breakfast buffet every morning was superb with all the fresh local fruits and french pastries....Yum! Within walking of the little village with shops and cafes, the people....we loved it all!

Loved our over water bungalow, such beautiful fishes and so many!!! Plus a turtle swam right up to us! Amazing service & fun entertainment too! We will go back!

I really enjoyed the overwater bungalows -- especially the reef snorkeling and sunset views. However, I found the food options limited and average quality. I suggest covering your food better for a.m. breakfast (especially fruit) and also looking to increase the quality of breakfast. More selection in evening/lunch menu would be good. I also found that the staff was not very friendly. However, I would return despite!

Great facility, the food was marginal in the hotel however there’s food close to go.

We stayed in 3 different rooms - garden view with kitchenette, garden view and beach front. All were terrific, easy to get to anywhere on the resort, clean and comfortable. Pool is not heated so a bit cold. Great snorkeling right off the shore. Food was mediocre but the resort is in a terrific location by the ‘largest’ town with some shops and restaurants very nearby. We easily booked lots of activities thru the resort which were all terrific - food tour, scuba diving, pontoon snorkeling tour to lagoons, and cooking class.

Wonderful resort stay in over the water bungalow. A wonderful 3rd honeymoon! Jighly reccommended!

This hotel was a total catfish experience. We booked a premium overwater bungalow and were so excited but upon arrival, it was clear how run down this property is. The photos on the website are not at all an accurate representation. Nothing felt luxury about it. See photos. We ended up taxing out of the resort every night to a nicer property 20 mins away to dine.

I had a wonderful time at the Manava in one of the beach bungalows. The resort is lovely and staff helpful and friendly. The snorkelling is excellent right off the beach. They did lots of very nice small touches during our stay and the location is beautiful. It’s also not too big compared to other hotels on Moorea. Would also recommend the dive centre on the resort.

Quiet and private. Great location on island. Love the overeater bungalows. We didn't want to leave our porch!

Clean, nice rooms and bungalows. However, it’s located into deep waters so no snorkelling, and no blue turquoise waters.

Would definitely return to the Manava! We felt so welcome, and loved the restaurant and bar, the pool, the snorkeling under the OWBs, the sunsets, and the easy walk to town (restaurants, shops, grocery). We had a Family Duplex which was perfect for a family of 4. The teenagers each had a twin bed downstairs and parents had the king bed in the loft. The dinner buffet/show and breakfast buffet were amazing! And the staff was so helpful with everything, especially Mairi! Thank you!

Splurged on this hotel for a special occasion, probably most we’ve ever paid… and worth every penny! We had a Superior Overwater Bungalow - these have their own back patio facing the ocean and sunset, with stairs down to water-level landing and ladder into the ocean. The reef drops dramatically from there, with the clear water allowing you to see a variety of colorful fish near the top and bigger things (including rays and sharks) occasionally passing by. Probably best snorkeling we found on the island was beneath our own room. :) The entire resort was top rate, with a beautiful (private) white sand beach, large infinity pool, very nice restaurant, great bar with fantastic cocktails I did not see elsewhere, an activity center where you book kayaks or tours, a spa, great little shops with prices better than in town, even a hammock, Backdrop of mountains is spectacular, and I’d have no problem having a room facing that way either. Great breakfast buffet, recommend to include in your booking. There are two different dinner shows per week (Wed and Sat), and we really enjoyed the one we saw. A tropical trio of musicians played at the bar on a different night until past 9pm, and they were extremely good. Short walk to town, where there are a few more restaurants, shops, ATM. The hotel even makes it convenient to enjoy a few more hours past your checkout time, with dedicated shower to let you clean up. Little treats like Tahitian wine showed up in room. So glad we chose this hotel!

The property was not maintained at all and showed severe deferred maintenance. Pool sides and steps were full of black mold. Showers were full of mold. Beds were hard, linens were old. Online advertising was not an accurate representation of the property at all. Very disappointed.

There were strangers with empty bottles snorkeling and swimming around our over water bungalow, we weren’t sure if they were patrons of the hotel or just locals in the area. However it seemed as though the hotel did not have a secure security of the proximity of the overwater bungalows in general. Therefore we barely left to experience the water which was what we had paid for and instead we opted to stay inside majority of the time. We were also located a few steps away from the resort’s beach and restaurants, so we heard every sound and noise. We felt that we wasted our money and time and we regret not staying at a resort that cares about the privacy and security of the patrons.

We got an overwater bungalow and it did not disappoint. We could view the fish (and even an octopus!) under our bungalow through a glass panel in the floor. We could also climb down into the water directly from the deck in front. The water is very clear and shallow close to the property, and it's easy to snorkel. We got the breakfast package when offered, and the food was decent, although like everything else on the island, expensive for what you get.
We also had lunch and dinner at the hotel a few times and it was pretty good.
Staff was lovely, grounds were beautiful.

We loved our overwater bungalow and watching the fish through the window on the floor. Beautiful sunsets. We enjoyed their lovely breakfast buffets daily and dinner at the restaurant. They delivered us a bottle of wine and some cookies for our anniversary. Very comfortable bed. They let us use their snorkel equipment. Had a fabulous time😊
