I didn't like there were no mattress covers and the pool by the end of my stay was a bit dirty.
The price and staff make up for the small unconvinced.
Loved the area and beach

Was friendly staff and people around there, quiet except for birds chirping.
Limited language spoken in English, staff is mostly all Spanish speaking, but can get by w English. Little ways from beach & restaurants, but is walkable for an active person.

Have stayed here in previous years and it was always very clean very well maintained ,
sadly I was here before pandemic and it has definitely changed with some negative changes.
Stuff amazingly sweet and helpful.
The location to the predator movie set is about 35 minutes walk uphill -very dusty road - great for perfect day trip only if your young & like hiking -wear a mask over your face ,
We enjoyed a hour on the set good restaurants and swimming -food can be very very pricey as it is a total tourist attraction but definitely worth seeing — I was happy we were local so that we could go on a tour to enjoy the set.
it’s Mexico 🇲🇽♥️🇲🇽
Hotel negative we had to put towels on the front door and the back door to seal so that the water bugs wouldn’t come in and that worked perfect to keep them from coming in —
We were on a ground flour, sadly the The fish and turtle ponds are not being up kept🙁

Very nice place.
Although an older structure, looks very well taken care of. Great little place for the price.
We are actually staying across the street at Barcelo, but our flight changed and we needed an extra night. Casa iguana was $50 compared to $960 Barcelo wanted to charge us.
The hotel was clean, and the staff very helpful and friendly even though we arrived around 1am.
I’d definitely use them again.
So far, the experience was better here than in Barcelo. That says a lot.

Really enjoyed my stay. There were mixed reviews online. Grounds were beautiful, rooms were more than adequate for the price. Would definitely recommend.
Thank you

Large group staying on property having a big party until wee hours of the morning. Checked out few days early because of the excessive noise they caused but fortunately was able to get refund for the days so it was okay.
Whirlpool was freezing.
So many birds, loved hearing them, they do start their noises early in the morning which is fine if you can get to bed early.
Cheap bus ride into Vallarta.
Kitchenette was great to have however the supplied pots and pans are very worn.
Comfortable beds, great A/C, comfortable couch to lounge on, nothing on TV in English except news so bring a laptop if you want to wind down with something to watch after a day of hiking nearby.
Oxxo is right next door, very convenient!

We love Casa Iguana, location is prime, several food spots available close by and an Oxxo next door. Beach is about 5-10 walk away!

Staff was very helpful and very knowledgeable and very nice. Properly was very clean.

This is a cheap and cheerful hotel. Staff is friendly and helpful. The pool area is nice with a cool turtle pond. Certain things like chipped doors and tile can be overlooked since the price is right! Rooms are spacious and shower is good, but no frills for sure. No hairdryer in case you’re in need. Breakfast is just OK, better to walk toward the beach and eat at the fabulous Maria Cuquito. Mismaloya is a sweet little town, perfect for escaping the chaos of PV.

Well kept, very prompt on service. Need to have wash cloths and hand towels

ALL EXCELLENT EXCEPT THE WI-FI WHICH WAS BARELY EXISTANT AND ALSO THE RECEPTION PHONE DIDN'T WORK HALF THE TIME SO HAD TO GO DOWN 4 FLIGHTS OF STAIRS WHEN I HAD A QUESTION TO ASK THE RECEPTION. THEY SHOULD FIX THE WI-FI AND THEIR PHONE IN THE RECEPTION! BUT THE STAFF WAS THE MOST KIND AND VERY HELPFUL!

The property was clean and the outside was well kept. The bathroom cupboards were literally falling apart and the kitchen had no oven or microwave. The tv had only 3 English-speaking channels, all news

Basic but good for one night. Great location heading out of PV

Boutique style hotel with 2 bedrooms, kitchen, bath living room . We loved the smaller hotel . Only problem was the beautiful pool was way way to cold!

Lovely property tucked away from the hustle and bustle, but super convenient and quick access to everything!

The pool is large and lovely to swim in. The water is cold but very refreshing on a hot day. We liked the spaciousness of the 2 bdrm suite with kitchenette and living room area. The front balcony provided shade or sun and was a nice place to sit and relax away from the pool area. The onsite restaurant provided good food at reasonable prices. Hopefully, I will return to this place one day and would definitely recommend it to others.

It is awesome place to stay. I just wish, they would have king size bed available in some rooms. Great value for the price. We loved having our own kitchen.

Quiet little village. Great for the price.

I did not like the black mold on the walls of our first floor unit. However, the Guests were so very happy and friendly, and the small town of Mismaloya was rustic and very much Old Mexico. Cool!
8.0
Our stay was very nice. The only reason it did not get five stars is because the hotel is quite old and needs a good renovation.

Casa Iguana was an excellent option in Mismaloya. Quiet, relaxed, reasonable priced. Breakfast was also a good option.
Staff was very helpful but let you do things your own way. We visited beaches and places around Vallarta and Mismaloya and relaxed in the late afternoons at the hotel.
For us was the perfect combination.
