Beautiful brownstone hotel. Gorgeous interior. This is an older building so stairs are narrow and steep which doesn’t make it great for heavy or large luggage. Bottom floor room walls are thin so you can hear the reception room. Otherwise, very nice room amenities and service.

Quaint New England accommodations in a wicked convenient part of the city. The room is as spacious, clean and comfortable. Would absolutely stay here again.

The front desk attendee was a great help and very patient. The facilities and room were very clean. They do have parking for $33 a night if you have a small car or a street parking pass for large vehicles.

It’s a beautiful, but old building. Perfect location for move-in/visiting with Fenway students.

We loved staying at this historic property. It felt like we were with family and could get up in the middle of the night to get some chips or make tea in the community snack area. We stayed on the first floor because of mobility issues. The only challenge was the tub/shower. It can be a little tricky to get in and out if you are older

It was so hot in there. It was very hard to sleep much less to breathe. There was no control for the air or heat. And no one to ask about it. It looked like no one had cleaned the room. The shower was the size of a phone booth. The bathroom floor was a press on tile that was loose and I slipped on it when I walked in, Very unsafe. I would not recommend this hotel to my dog.

The Beacon Inn is a lovely old row house property. Check-in was easy, and the woman at the front desk was kind and helpful. My room was lovely, spacious, and clean.

Stay was quiet. Guy who checked us in was not the friendliest. Mostly clean…thank god it wasn’t a super hit stay. NO AIR CONDITIONING OR FANS.

The check in staff was very helpful and friendly, but the facility could have used some cleaning. The room needed amenities like toilet paper, tissue etc. that was missing.

did not stay in the hotel because the room was improperly advertised. the room was covered in dust and the showers took 30 minutes to warm and continued to get stuck . there was hair all over the shower base. within and hour of being in the hotel , i asked for a refund and was refused because i “already” checked in. i wasn’t departuring early, I was dissatisfied but even that didn’t give enough reason for them to refund me . when given a multitude of reasons, they said a refund simply isnt allowed . terrible experience overall. i ended up staying at citizen M for a better experience.

Very comfortable and accommodating! Had a perfect stay ♥️

Liked the location, the room was clean, and the staff was gracious and accommodating.. The property is old and needs to be more clearly described -- for example, "private bathroom" means a space reserved only for you - but at the opposite end of the hallway. Parking is very tight and needs to be reserved in advance - but it was not clear from the description. The third floor room without an elevator was ok for me but may not be for others.

An old-fashioned Inn. Step back in time. Truly lovely. No frills, but comfortable. Make sure you can hike up stairs.

Do not like that the bathroom is a few steps outside of room down the hall. I asked to switch and was unable.

I love this place! It's old fashioned and comfortable, welcoming, and affordable. I liked the Nutella in the shared kitchenette area. My only concern, which is a universal concern, were the large black plastic tamper proof rodent feeding stations on the back lawn. Often those stations have a slow acting anticoagulant rodenticide in them. The rodent leaves the plastic housing, wanders around compromised and then is eaten by a raptor like a hawk, eagle, or owl, or someone's pet. Please get rid of the rodent feeding stations so our raptors are not poisoned.

I have stayed here many, many times and I have never had any issue with the property or the staff.

Didn't like that the room was so tiny with a bathroom down the hall. And this cost the same as the other larger rooms with an attached bath. And it was without a doubt one of the most uncomfortable beds I've ever had, with the head lower than the foot.

I had booked the room for my sister. When I dropped her off to check in
it was 30 degrees Loutside. The room was quite cold. When I mentioned to the desk attendant he said he could turn the heat on for an hour and a half. When I asked about the rest of the night he stated that they were very conservative about heat and that he would have to call someone higher up if she needed a higher room temperature. The next day my sister reported that things went to the other extreme. It was like a blast furnace and she had to throw off all the covers. Another concern was the tiny bolt lock which was hanging off the door and would not lock at all due to misalignment / warping of the door.
In other ways the place is charming if more than a little dilapidated. The staircase creaked so loudly we thought we might be visiting the Addams Family!

We didnt stay there bathroom was very not close to bedroom which we had no idea of when we booked we want our money back didnt stay had to find another hotel
you walk out of your room have to go down a hall about 2 doors away from your room, they need to show in a picture where the bathroom is when renting the room let the customer decide if they want to walk that much away from their room to use the bathroom

Convenient to visit my friends, and safe area to stay. The only thing is the bed sheet isn't super clean
