The lights above the bed didn’t work. The only light that worked was on the wall and the light switch for it was next to the door. I had to ask the desk clerk to turn on the light because that switch didn’t even turn on the light at first. I asked for a room with lights on the bed and was told there wasn’t another room. There were plenty of unoccupied rooms. The heater was very loud every time it kicked on

The hotel was a good value, not high-end but convenient and fairly comfortable. We arrived a few minutes early and were told, by a not very friendly clerk, that we could check in “early” for $25. We chose to drive around and come back in 25 minutes. This struck us as very unusual, and unfortunately set a negative tone for the start of our three-day stay. However, the rest of the staff were friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed a decent breakfast each day and found our room adequate. I must add that the lighting in the room was terrible; no overhead light and minuscule reading lamps over the bed. On the plus side, the water in the shower was instantly hot and at full pressure; the towels were large and thick; and there was a newish (aqua-colored) fridge and microwave reminiscent of the 1950s (but they worked well.) Would we stay here again? Probably not, but if your travel budget is limited the Flagship Inn would be okay. There is a nice looking outdoor pool but they were shutting it down for the winter while we were there; not the season for outdoor swimming, not their fault.

What a pleasant experience! Our room was immaculate, it looked like no one had been there before. The shower was amazing, the towels were soft, the fridge and microwave were retro modern and adorable! The tv was large, the bed was good…. The staff made check in quick and easy, no issues whatsoever! We come to the area at least once a year and we will stay here every time going forward.

A solid clean room with 1/2 mile of walking to Boothbay harbor. 2 stories high, no elevators. Less expensive than those around it. It fit our needs well

I reserved a deluxe king and when I arrived they said I had a deluxe double, they didn’t have any kings left. Showed him on my phone what it said but he said it didn’t matter. The pool was very nice, the jets not working in the jacuzzi. Breakfast was good, variety was good , the room had been updated since last visit but had no hairdryer, no place to hang towels, no trash can, a few things that need attention still. It was clean in the room. . For a one night stay it was ok except for having to sleep in a double bed when asked for king.

Not terrible. Okay for a one night stay. Too far away for us to walk to town on the side of the highway. No restaurants to walk to. $10 each for a breakfast buffet was too much. We found nice breakfast restaurants in town. We will get a place in town next time.

One star for being remodeled. One star for being as clean as expected. Minus one star for not having a hairdryer as advertised, and minus another star for the front desk making up reasons why they couldn't provide one for me and trying to placate me by saying they've ordered all new ones. Because if you've ordered new ones that means you know yours are broken, so should either have a few spare on hand for guests in need--or don't advertise you have them. Or don't try to say every room is fully booked so there's no way you could get one from another room.

While the room was clean, the beds were horrible. Very uncomfortable and felt damp. There was no phone in the room so you had to go to the office if you needed anything. The pool was open but the restaurant was,closed. Overall, dissatisfied considering the cost.

Cute little room that was clean and just what I needed for the night. An iron but no ironing board so I was glad I had a back up outfit. No breakfast available and the vouchers were less than I thought but the off site spot was super cute. I would definitely stay here again.

Nice clean room and bath. Room was a little small for 4 but doable. Need more OUTLETS, a lamp with additional plugs would help. Pool was nice, but hot tub was just barely warmer than the pool. Breakfast is not included, don’t use the coupon for the $5 off breakfast at local diner unless you’re in no rush at all since everyone from the motel was in line.

The service at the hotel was horrible. Upon check in, I requested an extra towel and was questioned about why I requested it. I use an extra towel for my long hair to aid in drying it but I have never had a questioning about it. On both mornings, we had to get vouchers for breakfast and there were 3 incidents of people asking for simple things. The staff was very rude in responding to their complaints or requests. I have never stayed at a hotel with such rude staff. The room rate was over $300 to add insult to injury. I would not recommend this place.

This hotel has new owners. First of all it would have been nice to know there had been a fire there in May and none of the amenities which were the reason why we booked there were available. The only one was the pool that was re-opened the day we got there. The shuttle into town did not stop there. Their restaurant was closed, no free breakfast at the hotel, we got a $5 voucher each to drive into town for that and it still cost us $15 - you can’t get a breakfast anywhere for $5. There was a $65 “resort” fee, I would just call it a hotel with a pool. Our room had a closet with no rod to hang our clothes. We also asked for a 1st floor room because my husband has had 2 knee replacements but they gave us a 2nd floor anyway. I love the Boothbay Harbor area but would look for a different place to stay.

The front desk staff is incredibly rude and unprofessional. I called to ask if I can add or adjust the name on the reservation as one of my staff members was arriving earlier than the other, although both were sharing the same room. I was met with “that’s not my problem” and “sorry, nothing I can do”. Then he informed me that the individual NOT listed on the reservation can show an ID and be permitted to head to the room. This is concerning considering there is no record of this person being on the reservation (because it wasn’t his problem), so I assume they’ll let literally anyone enter a room if they show an ID. Be cautious, obvious issues can arise from this. All in all, pass this place up. No one deserves to be treated that way.

The door lock did not work well and the keycard did not open it from outside, made a high pitched squealing sound and we had to be moved to another room. The room was substandard and uncomfortable and we checked out after the second night, forfeting the third paid night they would not refund. The advertisement is misleading as there was no continental breakfast provided. The voucher provided was only for $10 for two people and did not cover two waffles at the local cafe. There was a fire at the pool which made it unavailable. It was a very disappointing stay and I will never stay there again.

After traveling 6 hours to this location , it was refreshing to find a clean and comfy room waiting for us. The lady at the front desk was oh so helpful with directions to local restruants and shopping. And was more then helpful letting me back in to my room after i locked myself out..

The breakfast was good but it wasn't free, only $5 off per person. The hotel staff in the am was pretty rude about my confusion over breakfast but a safe and clean stay overall.
