We stayed at Secrets for 5 nights and had the most amazing time. The welcome we received on arrival was attentive, warm & relaxed. Our room was so much better than we’d anticipated - spacious, clean, view to die for. The hotel gifted us a bottle of champagne & some chocolates in our room as we were there to celebrate our anniversary. The hotel was relaxed, clean & easy to navigate. We also had a massage in the spa whilst there and it was one of the best massages either of us had ever experienced. We found ourselves saying multiple times during our trip ‘I’d happily come back here’. We only had a couple issues during our stay. 1. The service we experienced at the Barefoot Grill was not up to the same standard as service across the rest of the hotel. We were standing waiting for a table for 5 minutes without any recognition from the servers that they were aware of us waiting. Then it took a further 5-10 mins to get menus once we were sat down. 2. There was a couple of days where our room wasn’t restocked with water after housekeeping and dirty glasses were left in our room after housekeeping had been.
But, the size of those issues (insignificant in relation to the rest of the holiday) shows how hard it was to find fault with the holiday.
Thanks to the Secrets Lanzarote team for making our anniversary trip a special one!

On the whole an enjoyable trip. Cleanliness and service very good . Room comfortable ,well positioned, but a long walk with nearest lift out of action. Suroundings/gardens pleasent , too many steps and some surfaces rough uneven/cracked, not easy for disable/wheelchair users.
On the whole dining good, disapointing to have to pay for drinking water each night,

Hotel is stunning, the rooms, pools and grounds are all beautiful and very clean. The staff were very helpful. Particularly a worker named Kone who always welcomed you with a smile and went above and beyond to make your stay exceptional. There are a few restaurants a short walk away at the marina or you can get a short taxi to Puerto del Carmen which has plenty of bars and restaurants.
The only downside is that you have to be up early in order to get a sun bed and the food at the buffet and the pool bar were very expensive for the quality of the food. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay

From start to finish staff were so welcoming and accommodating will be back soon can't thank the staff enough for their hospitality it really makes a difference when you're on holiday to be welcomed by smiling faces and knowledgeable staff who are happy to enhance your experience Thank you

really nice hotel - lovely staff

This was our third stay at this property. First time since it became Secrets Lanzarote. Some changes meant we couldn’t use all the pools however the three we could use were ideal. Staff were just delightful. Food was varied and always delicious. An absolute joy of a stay. Would highly recommend!

We stayed for 13 days at this location and wouldnt call it luxury at all. We purchased a Preferred Club all inclusive package because of previous experiences with the brand in Dominican and Mexico and were quickly disappointed. The hotel is beautifully designed and in a great location but getting tired and needs a refresh. Our room had cockroaches and we also saw them in hallways and the spa, so were wondering what goes on in the kitchen. We could never get loungers by any of the pools including the one at Preferred Club so we gave up. The cafe for Preferred Club has less options than Coco Cafe. The Preferred Club restaurants are really subpar compared to other locations and the service is really poor so we ended up using the buffet instead or eating out. Our complaints to Customer Experience met with indifference (eg Lanzarote has cockroaches, or when we asked why the server wasn't refilling my husband's wine they said they had other work to do). We don't recommend this hotel if you want a 5 star experience.

It’s a dream come true !!! Firstly the dining option is amazing!!! My favourite was the world class restaurant!!! The chefs in there are the best !!! Wide food options and good quality food and drinks!! The Piano bar is the most exciting!!! Enjoyed live music and entertainment!!! I love it

I surprised my girlfriend for her 21st birthday here and the hotel staff were a great help providing a great experience for us and the hotel itself had everything to offer and the food was great too. No complains and all questions we had were answered with no misunderstandings. Will be back again

I’ve been here before a couple years ago and loved it. So decided to go again to celebrate our mini moon and we had the worst experience ever. Some of the staff need re-training on customer service as this is the biggest factor for our holiday being ruined!

The hotel on arrival was beautiful.
The rooms were fabulous very comfy spacious and excellent shower.
The breakfast was lovely with great options.
The pool area was beautiful and very clean.
Where this hotel fails is the pool bar the food and coctails are far from 5 star.
My lunch on the first day was uneatable the waiter took a full plate back and never asked why it hadnt been touch.
The pool temperature in main area was freezing and I mean freezing.
We brought this to their attentions and they did offer us the preferred club for our two final days.
This is the biggest problem i have with the hotel why is there such a divide, does every customer not deserve a warm pool to be able to swim in daily.
We all paid a lot of money to be there.
They definitely need to hire a mixologist to train their staff at 10- 12 euro per coctail they should be drinkable.
Overall this hotel has potential to be fabulous but its lacking attension to detail that are important to customers.

My husband and I have just spent a wonderful 5 nights at Secrets Lanzarote. We opted to upgrade to Preferred Club (which I would recommend). We initially stayed in a double room but were very fortunate to be upgraded on our second day to a junior suite. Both rooms were lovely and not too much difference between them. The staff there are wonderful, extremely attentive, polite and friendly. The food was excellent and drinks included the premium spirits as part of the all inclusive package. The hotel is easy walking distance from the port where you'll find a range of good restaurants (Mumbai Masala was amazing!) and a water taxi to Puerto Del Carmen. It's a very quiet area, perfect for a relaxing holiday but you may find it too quiet if you prefer a bit of bustle and night life. There are cats who live at the hotel. They're very friendly if you interact with them but otherwise leave you alone. They are well looked after. Overall a fantastic holiday and we can see why people return time and time again.

Everything from staff to the food were fantastic

Beautiful hotel near a lovely marina in walking distance. The staff were really welcoming and very friendly, would definitely recommend.
4.2
Liked the location it was quite, 10 min walk to the Marina that had really nice restaurants and bars,15-20 drive to airport and 15 mins by taxi to the nearest town/strip.
Did not like that the pools weren't heated so could not use them, during our stay it was slightly windy therefore felt cold siting by the pools. Did not like that you had to pay to use the spa facilities to be honest it was not worth it.
4.2
The hotel although out of the main areas is nice, peaceful and well equipped. The staff are excellent and could not do enough for you. A couple of areas of maintenance (very minor) required within the room itself.
Otherwise a perfect relaxing stay.

Great stay

We love the comfortable rooms, convenience to airport, versatile meal plans, nice staff and the classes they run like Yoga with Isabel whom is brilliant!
Its by the sea at the end of a resort so quiet and relaxing. It suits our needs when we want a quick break with no long transfers etc. Gave it 4/5 because its looking a bit tired in outside areas but they do seem to be constantly repairing bits :)
4.2
The staff was absolutely amazing & the hotel is beautiful. The activities we wanted to do off site were only 15-20 mins away but the hotel provides a lot.
4.2
Nothing not to like.
As usual, hotel had no knowledge of vip expedia status and as usual no room upgrade or late checkout.
4.2
Super friendly staff, good value for money but if you look for top notch that’s not what you get and also not what you have to pay for.
4.2
Lovely hotel. Ten mins walk along a path to Puerto Calero harbour which has lots of lovely restaurants and bars. Hotel has a Preferred Club (I didn’t know this before I booked) so certain restaurants and facilities were not available to “plebs” which I wasn’t impressed with.

Fantastic

Very convenient for a relaxing break, close to airport. Everything you need in a quiet adult only hotel.

The hotel is very nice, modern and comfortable. Sofia from the reception desk welcomed us very well and made sure until the end of our stay that all goes well. Daily activities proposed by the hotel are very interesting. The only thing that we didn’t appreciate was that the cleaning service took out items from mini bar during our stay. Anyway, we spent a great time and were able to relax.
4.2
Clean, beautiful, and plenty of cute cats keeping any rodents away. Grrat food selections and all the beverages. Will return for sure

The staff very helpful and polite, nothing was too much trouble for the

Amazing staff, hotel and service - thank you so much!
4.2
The staff were very friendly and accommodating, food was good all around but I would definitely say the Blue water grill and Oceana restaurants were by far the best.
The rooms were very nice if the walls were abit thin and could hear next door but I believe that’s due to the age of the property and the bathroom could do with an update but still very serviceable.
It’s a short walk from the marina where there is a lovely selection of restaurants that are reasonably priced so B&B or all inclusive are very good so take which ever you would prefer
4.2
Lovely hotel and very good for what we wanted. Spa was brilliant. Breakfast was not so great
4.2
Stayed 7 nights as a solo traveller on all inclusive basis (not preferred club).
Check in - Reception busy on arrival with a bit of a wait (15/20mins) but great friendly service from Sonia (I think) and free room upgrade was a lovely surprise, nice glass of fizz and cold towel on arrival.
Room - Room (sea view double) is modern and comfortable, needs a touch up in places to make it 5* but it’s very close, great view (7th floor) and facilities such as rainfall shower, giant tv, nice shower products, comfy bed with a lot of pillows, minibar has good selection with branded drinks.
The walls are pretty thin, you can hear chairs scraping and few hallway noises sometimes such as doors slamming.
Pool - have to get in early to reserve a sun bed (8am) the removal of towels seems to be nonexistent, clean pool and very clean hotel facilities, sun beds I saw were of good quality and very comfy.
Drinks from the barefoot grill - service can be a bit slow with waiter orders seeming to take priority over waiting guests in the queue but everyone was very friendly
Food:
bluewater grill, friendly staff and great steak, very quick service, did feel very romantic setting across all a la carte restaurants so if dining alone (like I was) can feel a bit lonely
World cafe - great selection of choice for both breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet, the desserts across all restaurants are homemade and taste great, all hotel and restaurant staff are friendly, make sure to explore all areas of the worl

I recently stayed at Secrets Lanzarote Resort & Spa –and have mixed feelings about my experience. The location of the resort was somewhat satisfactory, but it was notably quiet during my stay, which might not be ideal for those seeking a livelier atmosphere.
One of the major drawbacks during my visit was the disappointing food selection and quality. The dining options left much to be desired, and I found the variety lacking. This was quite a letdown for a resort of this caliber.
Another issue I encountered was communication barriers with the staff. Effective communication is crucial in the hospitality industry, and I experienced difficulties in this aspect, which detracted from the overall experience.
However, it wasn't all negative. Two standout individuals, Mateo and Kante, provided exceptional service and a welcoming approach. Their dedication to ensuring a pleasant stay was commendable and greatly appreciated.
In summary, my stay at Secrets Lanzarote Resort & Spa had its ups and downs. While the location was decent, the food options were subpar, and communication with the staff was challenging. Nonetheless, the exceptional service provided by Mateo and Kante deserves recognition. Taking everything into account, I would rate my experience as a three-star stay.

Hotel was only 20 minutes from the airport on arrival we got glass of champagne thr room was amazing staff where really nice food in hotel was nice would definitely go back again
4.2
Very nice enjoyed the dog was very welcome
4.2
Lovely hotel, great location. Staff were very friendly. Room was nice. Breakfast was very good, lots of options. I would return and recommend.
4.2
The main highlight was the refurbed fitness centre and spa.
But there was a lack of consistency in the service levels of the staff and breakfast at Portofino restaurant was at times not great in terms of staff and food options.
This feels more like an all inclusive hotel and the type of guests that come here reflected this. Being such a big property, it was run like a conveyor belt with little personal touches.
4.2
Very relaxing stay.
