The staff at this property were amazing!!! So efficient, warm, friendly and attentive to all our needs. We felt very spoilt. My partner and I loved this resort and would definitely go back.

We enjoyed our stay overall.

We liked the Balinese carved door to our room & the beautiful carved bed. We liked the proximity to the beach. We enjoyed the meals in the Cempaka Restaurant but the music was too loud & frantic. It was disappointing that many guests were putting towels on the pool lazyboys early in the morning & some days it was difficult to get a lazyboy. We enjoyed the Happy hour cocktails & releasing 2 hatchlings.

It was a wonderful stay and loved the traditional balinese style architecture

This resort is all inclusive but this wasn’t apparent when booking through Expedia. Expedia list facilities at the resort including free non motorised water sports, these are only available for all inclusive customers

This gorgeous hotel with traditional Balinese architecture is a delight. The staff are without fault kind and friendly. The spot is quiet, whilst still being in close walkable distance to other resorts and with many exciting water sports right on your doorstep.
Loved the stay!

Please be aware that the wi-fi in the entire hotel area is extremely poor (almost non-existing).

Very peaceful, great staff, very much like I think it was like in the 1960’s and 1970’s

Positives:
- good location
- good amenities
- reasonable menu
- very good breakfast choices
Negatives:
- despite internet marketing and pictures - no swimming here!
- rooms poorly furnished – not a single drawer or shelf on bed side tables or desk
- desk had no power points. Closest one was about 6ft away
- room lighting, esp over basin was so poor (dim and yellow) you could not see well enough to shave properly or for the ladies to do their makeup.
- poorly designed light control panel. When person on the master side of bed turned off their bed side light – the other bed side light also went off. Utterly stupid!
- internet – absolutely dismal & by far, the worst we experienced in Bali. They must still use dial-up modems! Management in denial & could not care-a-less.
- bath was stained and cracked – we did not use it at all.
It is such a pity that the attention to detail and artifacts on exterior of buildings and doors did not flow to the interior of rooms as well.

Nusa dua has a lovely stretch of beach and hotels , Bali tropic is a nice hotel but it’s drink and food is very over priced compared to local hotels and the service is not the best.
We stayed in a suite which was nice & walked out for evening meals and drinks most of the time, as there was much more variety and better value for money in every direction.
Lovely rooms and gardens but the hotel is rather old fashioned in its repetitiveness. There is a constant moving of chairs and tables for buffets, which seems unnecessary and does not offer a relaxing ambience . Other hotels have made contemporary seating areas and offer similar entertainment with out the constant movement of people and objects .
At the beach and pool bar there is a culture of serving customers who stay regularly first,( tropic family ) it not very fair or welcoming to new guests and gets a bit frustrating when you’ve ordered your drink and then get ignored for 10-15 minutes whilst regulars casually push in ! Eventually we just went out and spent our money elsewhere.
Breakfast is lovely with perfect views and they have lovely traditional features around the grounds.
Walk out the back of the hotel turn right along the beach and for half hour and there are many beautiful places to eat and drink that offer many types of entertainment .
Turning left still offers drink places but there are a few derelict hotels there with unkept littered beaches, so wear sturdy shoes.

We had an okay stay at Bali Tropic but probably wouldn’t stay again. The beach area was lovely and pool was nice, we liked being able to walk along the beach to other resorts/restaurants.
We had a few issues however: WI-FI was terrible, it was unusable in pretty much all areas of the resort and we had to use our data roaming instead. Wouldn’t recommend if you are reliant on Wi-Fi and this is unacceptable for a 4 star resort. There was a small bottle of water supplied per person per day which was barely enough to brush our teeth and not enough for any drinking water. When I requested extra water they said we would be charged, so instead we bought our own from across the road. Also only had the one roll of toilet paper with no spare rolls in room and had to request more, they did resolve this quickly.
Buffet breakfast was OK but not great and not ideal for dietary requirements (I am coeliac). They would supply bread on request for me but it was like cardboard, and things like bacon were displayed on top of regular bread so I couldn’t eat it. Juice was sugary/processed juice. It was hard to eat a more healthy breakfast with the options available.
Good resort if you have young kids and want to stay by the pool or do water sports, just wasn’t a great experience for me and my partner.

I thought we had free pick up and drop off at airport but they said we didn’t, I can’t find the conditions in our booking, maybe you can check please.

Had a lovely stay at the resort. The surrounding gardens were beautiful and the pool was great. The location of the hotel was also excellent and the staff were amazing. Only thing that let the property down was that we kept getting a sewerage smell in our bathroom.

On the internet the property advertised a photo of a beautiful turquoise water beach, but there isn’t any water in the beach half the day. Looks really crappy. When I checked in I was take to my room which was confusing how to get to it. The room smelled like mildew and the bathroom was dirty. I asked for a different room, they said there wasn’t any. I could up grade to a suite for $30 a night. I did that. There was a lot of mosquitoes in the room . The bed was covered a net, but I still got bitten up every night. The food was mediocre. Almost everything had garlic in it. I don’t like gar. The breakfast buffet was the only highlight for the food on property. The staff at the front desk seemed to be pretty slow with finding out answers for questions I had when calling the front desk.they say they will car back with an answer, but never do. I will not be returning to this resort. Don’t be fooled by the nice beach photo. It is false advertising.

After the initial first night of been put in one the worst rooms in the complex, way in the back away from everything & next to a busy/noisy road, with the Rubbish removal Truck at 5:30am. Asked for a change of rooms which they did the next day, to a much better room, close to facilities.
Overall Resort is not bad. Staff are lovely & very helpful. Food is edible, but not great.
Big resort, so very busy. Probably not a place to stay unless you like crowds.

Far cry from the advertised photos, wasted a week of my life and also $$$

Nusa Dua is a quiet area and this place is along a nice beachfront walking path. This resort is very indonesian with extra large rooms, bathrooms which was perfect when sharing with kids, etc. The slight problems we had were with the power points being broken, the wifi was pretty bad, the fridge stopped working at one point altogether - and we all got lost quite a few times going back and forth from the room (better signage might help?). To be fair, this is minor stuff and it's to be expected from a hotel in Bali. We loved the staff, they were incredibly friendly and kind. The buffet breakfast was the best out of all our stays in Indonesia. The pool and pool bar were great and of average size. If you're looking for a quiet, laid-back place to chill out this is it. Don't expect bright modern rooms, more balinesque, dark, timber but super big.

Beautiful gardens and balcony. Staff were very friendly. Pool was great and the swim up bar was handy, plenty of sunbeds. A lack of nearby restaurants that serve local food was a little disappointing but our 9 night stay was so relaxing we had a great time.

This resort did not look like the photos advertised. We picked it due to being on the beach, when we arrived there was barely any beach. You couldn’t even swim and there were a lot of boats around. Our room was outdated and average. Whilst we were in our room, someone was doing maintenance in our roof and a light fell out in the toilet with a hole in the roof. No one came to fix it so we had a hole where the light fixture should have been in our toilet. We could even see a man in our roof above our toilet.
We were also told we got upgraded when we arrived but the room did not have a queen bed; we were told someone would come and fix the bed.. once we started to unpack, someone came and told us we need to move rooms, so we had to move again to another room which was not upgraded.
We checked multiple times if we could do late checkout and reception kept saying to come back the day before checkout. When we did it wasn’t available, which was frustrating.
For the price we paid, we wouldn’t come back unfortunately, as we did not have a good experience.

Great place to stay. Great location, highly recommend Nusa Dua compared to other bali locations.

The photo of the sea is inaccurate and you can only swim a couple of hours either side of high tide. Otherwise all good/excellent. Breakfast great, rooms spacious and well equipped, and seaside setting excellent. Would definitely return

The resort was beautiful and tidy also staff were helpful and polite, there wasn’t enough place to eat and we didn’t enjoy the buffet. It was below average.

Great hotel.
A bit dated, but still charming.
Overall service is ok.
Breakfast is simple, but good.
Other restaurants offer good variety.
The beach and pool are very nice.

We were celebrating our Honeymoon here. Staff was friendly. Pool was nice and the poolbar was really nice. :) Room and the hotel was clean. The a/c works!

Great for access and dining by the beach but my room wasnt clean and it smelled damp and musty from the walls. No information in the room about the hotel or local area.

The overall stay was great and staff were lovely. It was a shame when we checked out to be over charged from room service as they never restocked our fridge and accused us of drinking the missing drinks and also other drinks that weren't in the fridge when we arrived. Was definitely the only fault of our stay.

Staff as always friendly ❤️

Terrible food choices
4.0
This hotel is old but much more authentic Balinese than other sterile hotels around the area. The pool is beautiful and the restaurants on site are affordable with exceptional food. Breakfast has a wonderful variety.
The staff are all very friendly and helpful.
The only negatives would be our room was very dark, easily fixed with some cool white LEDs instead of the dull yellow, the staff at the pool bar took a very long time to serve you but once the order was placed it arrived quite quickly!
The pool stunning but is deep both ends and this is where the ladder steps are, not very good if you aren’t strong enough to pull yourself up out of the water. Some elderly people found it very difficult getting in and especially out…
All in all it was a very enjoyable and relaxing 12 days!
