2 night stay in Harrogate with friends!
Dog- friendly!

Had a lovely time. The place has a great location and is beautiful inside. Only thing that could have been improved was breakfast service. It was quite chaotic (which is normal at certain times) but there didn’t seem to be enough staff on shift to deal with managing the situation. For example there were no plates, no glasses, no milk, no water left etc people were trying to find a member of staff but there were so few and the staff there seemed to be focused on dishing out poached eggs rather than managing the que in the breakfast hall. The food itself was good though. Except for this it was a lovely trip & would come back again.

Ideally located in the centre of town.
Rooms are spacious with good size bathroom.
All clean and well maintained.
Breakfast was a little disappointing-as with ‘self service’ it is about timing so it is a matter of luck how long the food has been sat on a ‘warmer’ and they are never hot enough to start with.
All staff were pleasant and tried their best.
For £245 a night I think the food should be a better standard.

1st time ive stayed at this hotel. Its a beautiful.building and its stunning inside the bar and resturant area. Our room was clean and comfortable and decent size.
Breakfast had lots of choice .
Our only 2 gripes were at breakfast the toaster did not toast had to put it through 4x times! Secondly we couldnt get any spare milk for our room for a morning cuppa. Went out on the corridor in pjs hoping to find a housekeeper but noone around you cant ring reception as no phones.Maybe idea to put a little service station on corridors .
Otherwise really enjoyed my stay and wished we had stayed longer hopefully will be back next year.

The hotel is very clean and well presented with large comfy rooms. The only downfall is the VERY slow service in the bar.

Arrived around midnight to dirty sheets that hadn't been changed - crumbs and hairs when we pulled back the duvet - gross. Night manager apologized and brought up clean sheets but had no clean pillowcases, so again...gross. Same crumbs were on the floor and nightstand. Obviously not cleaned. Apologies are great, but maybe not charging us the full rate when the room is filthy would have gone a lot further in the lasting impression. Something should have been done. Breakfast was decent, but not sure I'd stay there again with what happened and how it was handled.

I was a lovely hotel, perfect location within Harrogate.
Just one thing that would have made it so much better as fresh cooked breakfast instead of the hot plate style.
You do breakfast in the bar so why not for hotel guest?

Lovely hotel in a great location for all amenities. Room was decent size, well decorated with comfortable bed. Our room had a shower which suited us fine. Only downside there was no air conditioning, but room had a fan instead. Bar was good with decent selection of drinks and lovely outside seating area. Breakfast was included in our stay and was delicious, great choice of food on offer & self service. We were able to use hotel car park for £10 per night charge which was reasonable, parking is limited tho! Will definitely stay here again when visiting Harrogate

Small room & tiny bathroom, very warm & no option to regulate temperature in room. Breakfast included in price & was good

Great location, near to all tourist attractions, recently renovated, had a great atmosphere, our room was lovely, spacious and really comfortable.
Only negative would be that breakfast on both mornings was very unorganized, with glasses, cups, pastries, bread all running out, and staff seemingly just as unorganized. Shame as the hotel was lovely.

Lovely hotel in great location fantastic breakfast.

The rooms are over priced. The room was very small for the cost. Downstairs was lovely and the bars were really nicely decorated but reception is behind the bar so seems abit cost cutting. Also we asked for some 2 extra tea bags and they were going to charge us, this may of be a new member of staff though so could of been a mistake

My room was tired, the paint work was patchy and I'm sorry to say that there was a string smell of drains in the en-suite.
The room was next to the main entrance to the second floor which is accessed through a fire door. I'm a deep sleeper and work away a lot but needed to purchase ear plugs to enable any decent period of sleep. I requested a room change for the smell, and the noise but the hotel was full and the staff disinterested.
I've stayed in hundreds of hotels, at over £200 per night was certainly not what I expected. Great location but I won't be staying here again.

The Harrogate Inn (HI) is located in the heart of Harrogate, a short walk from the conference center, restaurants, museums, train station, bath-houses shopping. From that respect the HI is well located. That said, I was disappointed with the facilities and service at the HI. The general feeling is that the HI needs a makeover. Rooms appear to have been half-made-over. For example, there is a good supply of power outlets, but the room has no ventilation other than opening the window. The bathroom appears to have been installed as a unit - unfortunately without a level floor. The refresh seems to have stopped with the rooms. The hallways are dangerously dark with worn carpet. Wall art is ancient. Housekeeping was disappointing. My wet towels from the previous day/night that were stacked for replacement were instead just hung up on the rack. There is no formal reception. You check in and out at the bar which has limited hours. If you miss these hours, you need to use an electronic tablet. There is an extensive bar/restaurant that served as best mediocre food. I visit the UK regularly, maybe 3 or 4 times a year. The fish-and-chips were about the most bland I have had in all those trips. Breakfast had few choices with cold eggs and what appeared to be day-old pastries. The Harrogate Inn has an excellent location and great potential to leverage that location. But the HI is instead going through the motions of being a destination hotel.

Issue with no soap and shower gel in the room took 2 days and 3 requests to get some.

Lovely hotel very well located in the centre of Harrogate. Fabulous bar area and lovely decor. Excellent breakfast. Our room was slightly tired could have done with a lick of paint but we would absolutely stay here again 😀

Just overall poor value for money, more like an £80 room than a £250 a night room. Hotel location good, but nothing else great about the place. Breakfast was terrible, very disorganised with no system for finding guests a vacant table. All self service, many items on the buffet had run out, no table available when we arrived and no staff assistance at all to help find one. Would have been better in a travel lodge at less than half the price.

The staff were delightful - young, enthusiastic and helpful at all times. The room was spacious but showing some signs of the age and maintenance burden of such a large old , but nothing too obvious.
The lift was a wonder - long waits at busy times, 2 people plus luggage and sounding like a dumb waiter.
It was not clear why the HP sauce bottles at breakfast were only available on request - is there a shortage?

When i got tgere to book in they tried to charge me £25 more than i booked it for. I was told there was plenty of parking when i got there it was full . A massive hotel with only 20 spaces not good enough i had to pay to park on the rd for 4 hours until a member of staff moved there car so i could park. Wotb a bit of arguing abd after i said il go somewhere els i got my room for the original price quoted

The bar area was lovely and it was a very nice breakfast. The corridors to the room we were in seemed a bit tired and the sensored lights didn't work when we were going back to our room. The room was fine, just very warm. Staff were a bit slow to clear the outside patio and breakfast area. Is in a great area.

I had a very pleasant stay at The Harrogate Inn, my room was nice, clean and tidy.
All the staff, I came across were very friendly, helpful and attentive.

Great location for a short walk into the town centre. Hotel was clean and very quiet on a night time. Staff were very friendly and helpful and provided a great service at mealtimes and in the bar. The bar and restaurants had a really nice vibe to it and food was great. Couldn’t fault our two night stay and would definitely stay here again.

Good for getting around Harrogate. Bathroom towel rail did not work and room a little noisy from street. Staff were lovely.

Overall a great experience.
The cosy double room really are "cosy"
There was an awful noise, that started around 4.30am. Sounded like a generator or similar (would have mentioned it at checkout, but it was all automated) So didn't sleep very well. Rooms clean, great breakfast and the bar is stunning
