Ive been to many hotels and motels, but never have I had such a horrible experience as this. The staff were rude, ans Dour rooms werent prepared in advance. It was requested that the rooms would be next to each other because it was for a family trip, and they gave us two rooms extremely far from each other. When you walk in the motel you immediately smell Marijuana. Rooms are fine, but had a bad experience with one of the staff members. They were very uncooperative, and unwilling to work with us. It was extremely noisy with families arguing, and was unable to sleep well. Overall do NOT reccomend.

So the stay started off rough, neither our room or my moms had a working phone. My room was mssing a light, the tv didn't work. The front desk employee had to get an okay from the manager to move our room to one with everthing working. Much better but my moms phone still didn't work.

To start when we pulled up it was a bit shady going into the filthy lobby was another experience while the manager and her coworker were talking amongst each other and using foul language which I was beside myself we get up to our room which the Halls were disgusting kids and families playing in the Halls garbage outside the doors but we couldn't get in our room so I called on my cell phone downstairs and she refused to come up and help fortunately another guest helped us get into our room however the beds had springs coming out lopsided the room was atrocious no screens on the windows bugs stuck to the ceiling of the bathroom lights not working phone have no cord it was just disgusting the most important part of a hotel stay is the bed and they refuse to switch our room I told staff we wanted to leave at night early I had a wedding to go to so I had to stay for at least the two nights and the manager behind the desk said well what's the big deal you only have been spent fu***** 80 plus bucks. Talk about being appalled. I'm in the middle of trying to get the refund as we speak I do not recommend going to the Newport motel 6 to anyone ever!

Bedroom linens although clean were paper thin. The beds were no more than a thin mattress over a double cot. One reading light over bed was out. Limited selection of TV stations. The tub shower faucet fixture is loose and ready to come off with more use. The property is in a good location but very, very, dated. It has great potential with an investment by the owners. The current room rates speak for themselves. One pays for what they get. In the property's present state, the room rates should be lower. Staff very friendly!

This property is horrible. We arrived after the required check in time to find our room was not available. The person at the desk told us 20 minutes. We had to wait outside and she finally came out, told us our room was ready, and took a break in a car several over from us. We arrived to our room to find lights not working, had no wash clothes in our room, and the television didn't work. We went down to see if we could be moved to another room. The person at the desk said she would see if she could ask the manager and said it will be a while before she could Come talk to us. We had our suspicions she was the manager but kept blowing things off. We asked her to refund our money which she said she couldn't do and the manager would have to do that. After getting our things from our room, we asked how to reach the manager. The story changed again...you have to call Expedia and they can call The hotel. We called Expedia and they tried reaching the hotel and they wouldn't answer the phone..how convenient. Expedia is working to try to obtain us a refund. Save yourself the time, aggregation, and your safety...DO NOT BOOK A STAY IN THIS DUMP

Room was clean but everything smelled like old cigarettes. I got home my bag and clothes that did not wear have to be washed due to the smell. Hotel needs to do rehab on whole hotel. Needs very needed updates

Wow. Everything damp. Tv cracked like someone hit it. Wrong room (ordered a king, got a double). The front desk girl seriously could not have cared less. Had the AC full blast to dry out the room. Freezing cold but finally dry. Floors haven’t been mopped in ages. Slime and dirt everywhere. Smells like cigarettes everywhere. Security entrance. This place gives the whole brand a terrible feel. Dirtiest place I’ve ever stayed.

Oh Motel 6…sigh… while I know this chain to be a budget hotel this location was number 2 on worst hotel stays ever. The one grace was that the staff was very friendly and the AC in the room worked otherwise everything else was pretty gross and unsettling. First the entire hotel smells like an old ash tray. The smell is in everything. I used some peppermint oil to try and survive the night and save my nose from the stench. Secondly I was greeted by two live cockroaches in the bathroom which just gives you the creeps. There was hair in the bathtub as well. The door had a pretty good gap under it so you heard every person and their conversation on the floor. It looked like the lock had been at some point kicked in and repaired haphazardly. The only light in the room was a single overhead light with a switch by the door. The two spaces for lights on the walls were missing lights. There was a tv, but no remote. Unless desperate I would go anywhere else.

Booked through Expedia because everything else was super expensive. When we got there, our room wasn’t ready - ok no problem. We brought our bags into the hall & it reeked of cigarettes and there halls were very dirty. We left & asked for a refund because it was so dirty but no cancellations/refunds granted. Do NOT go here!

The property is somewhat rundown. While the staff is very nice, they are streched thin. My room was clean, but public areas were in disrepair, and the hallways had trash and strong cooking smells throughout. I reported that my AC was not working, and it was not fixed. I suspect it was not even looked at. In the end, while the location is good, it is a depressing place to stay.

Fairly clean, except dead bugs on ceilings. Service was friendly. Downstairs had a heavy mildew smell; I had to switch to 2cd floor, which was a smoking floor. Hotel appears to disable the keys each day. Overall, OK, but worn.

I would recommend avoiding this hotel at all costs. It serves as an overflow shelter for homeless people, which brings in drug deals and residents with mental health issues. The property is poorly maintained and rarely cleaned. Housekeeping never came once to my room (perhaps they thought I was one of the homeless shelters???). The tv cable in every room didn’t function, there was no water pressure, and the largest towels were like hand towels. Even worse, when I checked in, the hotel only accepted cash under a claim that their credit card machine didn’t work. Apparently this has been going on for a few days before arrival and continued on until at least the day I checked in. Very suspicious.

Clean, however warn off by the time. Motel placed conveniently by the rd, but on the quiet side. NO Bed bugs - worth the money. Coffee in the morning is in the main lobby. The Walmart next to it is standard minimal Walmart w/o fresh fruit section.

Actually once past HORRIBLE lobby, room was clean. Lobby had stained seating / smells and floor filthy. I wanted to run! However jazz festival weekend …. Once we got to clean, modern room - great stay for our needs. ACCEPTED Doggie - a well behaved doggie, but a doggie no less.

Barking dog next door (thru wall) and hair in both beds. Smelled like urine. Front desk not willing to move across hall (to try to get distance from dog and possibly have clean beds). Reserved thru Expedia and won't refund (apparently can't contact manager/hotel personnel for authorization despite front desk at hotel assurring that refund wiuld be authorized). Would have been nice to have clean beds and for room to not smell like urine!

My reservation were canceled when I arrived at the hotel by Expedia and no one was available from your organization to assist me. I am a 10 year member with your organization never expected Expedia to fail me this way. Needless to say I will no longer booking through you and you can rest assured that I will be sharing this horrible experience with through my network of connections, friends and family.

Lots of what seemed like homeless people either hanging near the door, which was always unlocker, or hanging by cars in the parking lot. The lawn care crew came the last day we were there and blew all the grass & garbage from the parking lot all over my car. Saw needles & used condoms in the parking lot too. The room itself was fine for sleeping & showering but the window lock was broken which made for a nervous couple of nights.
