Location is the reason i stayed on the beachfront and that it was a historical building. It was a little expensive in terms of the smallest and basic rooms, tiny beds and problems with the toilet and elevator. However the staff were wonderful in trying to resolve my access key card that would continue not yo work, hence multiple trips up and down 3 levels of stairs. The beds were firm and the showers were hot and the mini fridge was cold. A very basic room with a nice window view that was slightly expensive. The bar cafe downstairs was extremely handy and the service was ok to forgetful which seemed to match their woes with the elevator, toilet cistern, card reader and efficiency. I would stay again as i understand a bad day/s can happen. Further i think the rooms need some decor updates to add some character, which externally is beautiful.

The staff were amazing and worked tirelessly for all gusts. Nothing was too much trouble. I like the fact they take security seriously and challenge guests and visitors so prevent theft from rooms which I know has been a problem in Sitges. We had one of the double rooms which was clean and well appointed. I shared with my partner who is also a 6ft 4 and200lbs + so sharing a double bed was not easy or comfortable at times. But I believe bigger rooms and beds are available should you need them.

This is supposedly a smoke free hotel yet one of my rooms was wreaking of smoke and had to get a different one. In my room, although smoke free, during the day and night into early morning, the cigarette smoke from their patio serving area permeated the hotel and came up the hallways. It came into my room and was so bad I could not sleep or breath. I opened the balcony doors but the noise outside, since it was close to the streets and a big concert even, was so bad I could not get peace. So it would be until about 6AM when I could close the balcony doors that I could get a nap in but wasn't much. They need to close the lobby doors, or prohibit smoking on their patio/lobby areas. I won't stay here again and I do plan to return next year to Sitges.

The hotel staff were all notably polite and helpful. Two of the three rooms were excellent with comfortable beds, clean bathrooms, and working equipment. One room smelled very strongly of cigarette smoke, the bed mattress was worn out, and the tv and phone were broken. Staff did offer to change rooms for one of the two nights as there none available for the second night. The hotel location is superb - right along the beach with views of the ocean of your room includes a balcony.

Hotel was convenient to all the great attractions that Sitges has to offer. It was also convenient to both the train station and the bus stop coming from Barcelona city or airport directly. Room was just enough. Bathroom was very clean with great little amenities. A/C worked very well. It's not a 5 start hotel, but it's clean, the staff is great and convenient all around. i would stay here again.

Very conveniently located, very friendly and helpful staff, located right across the street from the beach. As much of Europe is, very compact room, no parking but definitely a fun experience staying in the Sitges are of Barcelona!

Perfect beach front location with friendly staff. The air conditioner in my room quit working and I was moved to a second room with a working air conditiomer, but the bed was like sleering on a bumpy board and there was a foul oder coming from the bathroom that the staff tried to cover with a fragrant disinfective. The tv had only one English speaking channel. It was a cartoon channel. Don't be obsessed with a beach front hotel in Sitgea. Unless you pay big bucks, you are nor going to have an ocean view. There are many hotels a block or two from the beach that offer short walks down quaint interesting streets to the beach.

I spent two nights, in August, as a single traveller. The Celimar has a small reception close to the breakfast room. The lady on the desk was pleasant and helpful. Room size was decent, with space all the way around the double bed. There was adequate storage for clothes, and a room-safe. It has access to a small balcony, which has a table and two chairs. I would stay at the Celimar again, provided it was available at a competitive rate.

Great place to stay if you want to go to the beach and of you want to go out at night. The hotel has small rooms and small bathrooms but you can't beat the location. A plus is a very good breakfast and very friendly staff. I would stay there again for sure. It's more like a 3 stars hotel overall.

The character of the building and the room are very old. The air vent in the bathroom looked liked it had 10 years of dust on it. The faucet an hair dyer were hard to operate and did not always work properly. The free WIFI could only be used in the lobby and didn't always work.The staff was the best part of the hotel. There was one slender woman with short black hair and glasses that was so kind and fun to talk to. She also made good recommendations. Morning breakfast was nice.Overall, it was a nice place to stay because I had my own room and bathroom with a great location. But not really worth the money unless you get a room with a view.

We only stayed one night at Hotel Celimar, but wish it could've been more! It was a very nice hotel with a complimentary breakfast buffet. RIGHT ON THE BEACH. I highly recommend this place and hope to return some day.

Basic hotel, I'd recommend you stayed there as an excellently located base for the beaches and bars, rather than expecting anything from the hotel itself. Tiny bathroom, no kettle, no iron, some surfaces coated with dust, room cleaning pretty basic too (floor swept with brush, toiletries not replaced unless completely empty...). Lovely staff though, breakfast fine, location second to none - however basic the room, it's so nice to walk round the corner to your bed after a night out or after a day at the beach!

The hotel is in a perfect location for the beach (opposite), beside the church in the heart of Sitges. The rooms are basic, but clean. The staff are pleasant and accomodating. Sitges is like the San Tropez of Spain. The restuarants and bars are all within walking distance of this hotel.

1st night there was lots of street noise. Got no sleep. They changed our room with only a small amount of hassle. Room was quieter but bed was very uncomfortable and still could hear everything going on in the halls and outside the window.

I can highly recommend the Hotel Celimar in Sitges. Even though the hotel was yards from the beach and promenade, it was not noisy at night being located at the quieter end of Sitges. The rooms were clean and kept clean throughout our stay in July with plenty of fresh towels daily. The buffet breakfast was good and varied with unlimited coffee. The staff were lovely,- the girls on reception friendly and helpful and spoke very good English. One minor criticism - the mattress in our room was a little hard for our taste. Sitges itself is beautiful with gorgeous beaches, medieval architecture, friendly locals and hundreds and hundreds of bars, restaurants and shops - a paradise to escape to from the British weather. 40 minutes from Barcelona by train.

This hotel is ideally located on the sea front and is close to restaurants. Not too far to walk from the station or the bus. Rooms are a little small but are clean and comfortable and the staff are friendly and efficient. Breakfast is a cold buffet but is perfectly adequate. Try to get a sea facing room.

The hotel is in a very good location in the town centre convenient for the shops and restaurants. The hotel is on the sea front and commands a very good view from the room is you secure one at the front. The breakfasts included in the price were of a good quality although the mezzanine room is a little cramped. The room had good air conditioning that worked quietly.
