Hotel should be a 5 star hotel, which is far from the fact, seems like no maintenance has been made seens it was build in 2006, warn down and dirty.

There are many things.
aircon smells, small room, the hotel is 2006 and is not well maintained. Sunbeds are not for 5 stars. I have made several agreements with the reception, but they just say yes and do not understand what you are saying.
the pool bar opens when they have time, not the same time every day. They are nice enough and try, but they don't understand English. The view was very nice but it cannot give 5 stars alone. I have booked this hotel because it has 5 stars but it is only 3.5 stars I will not come back.

As soon as we arrived the hotel staff were amazing and so helpful. The hotel is situated on a steep hill but the bell staff were always on hand with electric carts to help you to and from your room and help with bags.
The breakfast buffet included with our room was also fantastic. A really broad offering of traditional and world foods with eggs cooked to order and fresh fruit, pastries, and hot food.
The hotel has two pools, one with a swim up bar. All facilities were clean and modern but the friendliness of the staff really made it for us.
Thanks to all at Namaka resort

The best hotel good view and quiet hotel

Maintenance needs attention, inside villa with pool was lovely however the outside bits falling off, banging during night. Main pools require tiling to be done, a couple of unsafe areas.
You are far from Kamala beach, definitely not 15 mins walk, we used shuttle in and some days caught taxi back, 200baht sometimes 140 on the Indrive app. 230baht into Patong 400-500 baht back. Nice quiet place to relax and recommend the villa with plunge pool

Loved the views and the concierge guys always helpful.
Didn’t like;
- mouldy smelling rooms which was the biggest negative
- noisy air conditioning in the rooms
- bleach smell when arrived
- poor internet always disconnecting
- good not great
- unable to charge to room
Overall it was far from a 5 star experience.

We had a very enjoyable stay. Amazing views, great pools and above all the staff were very accomodating, friendly and professional.
The resort is walkable in distance from the main area of Kamala Beach however we mostly used the shuttle service.
Would certainly recommend for a relaxing stay for family's or couples.

Enjoyed Our Stay at Namaka Resort Kamala
We stayed at Namaka Resort Kamala in June and overall had a wonderful experience. The sea view from our room was absolutely stunning - we enjoyed sitting out on the balcony and taking in the beautiful scenery.
The resort staff were very friendly and accommodating. They have a golf cart service that drove us from the lobby up to our building, which was very convenient. We also rented a motorbike from the 7-11 about 10 minutes walk from the hotel, which allowed us to easily get around to nearby restaurants and shops in Patong.
The breakfast buffet had a good variety and the food was tasty. They switched up the menu items each day so it didn't feel repetitive.
The only downside was that the gym room was quite small and cramped.
Overall, we had a really enjoyable stay at Namaka Resort Kamala and would recommend it to others looking for a nice resort with beautiful views and amenities in Kamala. The staff, food, and convenience of the location were definite highlights.

Great place to stay, beautiful views. it’s a little bit of a walk (or motorcycle taxi ride) to get to some of the bigger, cleaner beaches, but the view from the resort is unparalleled. The pool and lounge area is prettier than the pictures and it feels like you’re in a movie.

Upon check in:
Fridge had leftover food in it, bath tub was dirty. I removed food and cleaned the tub. Told front desk staff, they didn't even bother to change my room. Told me they would get someone to clean it. But by the time their staff would come, I would've cleaned it myself.
First day after check in:
Was 11am taking a nap cause we're on holiday. Got a call to move by car from my car park allocated by their security the night before saying "road maintenance".
When I came down 2 hours later, no road maintenance could be seen and another car taken my spot. Was rather annoyed.
What's worse was I got woken up after I went back to nap by construction noise from a room below. There was a pickup truck with construction materials, and non stop drilling below.
Asked hotels.com to change my hotel but they failed, this website's service has gone trash since it changed its owner.
The hotel keycard was bad 3x (I stayed 3 nights). The 3rd time I went to get it updated I was so annoyed I told off the reception staff, no sorry no apologies. Very poor reception staff not courteous at all.
Been to Phuket 5 times, and to Thailand more than 20 times, Thai hotel staff are overwhelmingly polite. This hotel's staff at the front desk was horrible.
Their concierge and room-keeping and breakfast staff were good though.

We really enjoyed our stay at Namaka! The resort is very nice, with two separate infinity pools, a swim-up bar, and a poolside restaurant, and the staff is very helpful and accommodating. When we visited the resort wasn't too busy, so there was never a problem finding shady loungers and getting into the pool without it being crowded. A few specific things to note:
1) Several reviews I've seen (both here and on Google) call out the resort for being "dated" and "dirty". My guess is that these are people who booked Namaka as a cheaper option compared to other high-end resorts in the area and are upset when it's not as nice. Is there some slight wear-and-tear in the rooms? Sure, if you want to nit-pick, but it served our purposes just fine and we didn't spend too much time in the rooms anyways so it didn't matter. The rest of the resort felt clean and modern, and for the price it felt like a steal.
2) We opted to pay for the optional breakfast buffet and would highly recommend! It felt like a great deal, with a lot of tasty options, and it runs all morning so you don't have to rush down early to eat.
3) Know going in that Namaka is somewhat far from Kamala beach itself. The hotel does offer a free shuttle, but it mostly runs in the afternoon. We opted to walk instead, which worked fine for us (we like to be active), and the road into town isn't too busy so it felt safe. Bring a flashlight (included in the room) with you if walking the road at night.

The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are clean with comfortable beds. We had early morning tours and the hotel staff made sure that we had towels and breakfast boxes ready to go by 5 AM. When we arrived back in the late afternoon, the hotel is a short taxi ride to great restaurants for dinner and shopping.

Overall good hotel in the Kamala beach area. Good location within walking distance to the town center. Shuttle to the beach. Clean rooms and friendly staff. Pretty resort with multiple pools. I did find that the food and drinks were overpriced at the hotel and the wifi needed to be reconnected every time we were in the room. Otherwise pretty decent stay.

We were given a used room, the bed showed the imprint that someone was recently laying in it. Used coffee cup on the table with trash. Unfortunately we flew in at midnight so we weren’t able to get another hotel. Ended up staying in a different room there for one night, overall it just felt uncomfortable and not very clean. Floors were creaky and rooms had a weird stench. The photos were nothing like how they were advertised on Expedia. Checked into Sunprime Kamala Beach Resort the next day and highly recommend booking there

This is a beautiful property on the side of a hill overlooking the ocean. The views are spectacular and the staff was the best. I would give them 10 stars.

The view is great. Could use some maintenance. Staff was excellent.

not advertised on line but a lot of the resort is closed - only the 1 buffet restaurant not upstairs bar/dining. the buffet was mid not a lot of options for food and average quality. The room service was a huge let down - expensive and flavourless. Got the beef burger on 2 occasions and the patty was raw. The property itself is beautiful and has a lot of potential, just needs a bit of love and preferably more options for food and more activities.

Love the room and view. It was nice stay but compare to the price and the five stars rate breakfast can be more better. it’s variety of food but all are almost run out and don’t have refill. I love everything about the room except the broken pipe in my second day.

Great views and good location, staff were accommodating. Shuttle takes. you to Kamala Beach. Not ideal for people with mobility issues as it is on a hill with lots of stairs. Could use a little refresh, had some peeling paint.

I like the view of the property. Staff are friendly. The downsize is that there no elevator. Also its not close to stores.

The property and staff were amazing. Phuket is paradise within paradise. I didn’t want to leave Thailand after seeing Phuket.

Pretty hotel, but terrible Wi-Fi! Only place it was working OK was in breakfast area. In my room and balcony it was not working at all most of the time. So no Wi-Fi calls home to my family.
“New” towels was all very stained and didn’t feel clean at all.
The hotel is about 2km away from Kamala beach, and also the closest store. 200baht one way with transport and no pedestrian lane if you want to walk instead
Breakfast was pretty boring, a lot of stuff but not so good to eat.

Bad location, even worse service. Rooms are filthy and AC ventilates an awful sewage smell. Pool is unusable as no water flow so water is stagnant. Have stayed in far better places in Kamala for half the price. Do not me lured in by their marketing!!

terrible hotel!
Picture are not similar to the hotel, it's dirty, smell like sewerage.
The rooms are on top of a hill with no Elevators and dangerous to try to get to the lobby!
We asked a refund for all of those reasons and mainly because it was like a prison for us and no one cares as long as you already paid

The standard is not as good as advertised, but it was ok

Friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable and clean room. Beautiful view. We just had to walk and climb a few stairs to get to our room which was at the very top of the hill. Also found out about certain bugs that like to sing like an alarm from time to time. Aside from that we really enjoyed our stay.

They charge 550 for breakfast which is fine because they will tell you before hand but I was just charged 2,500 for the laundry service I thought was free. No one told me about that and they display the laundry bag in the room as if it’s a part of their services with no warning. Fabulous location!

Soom smelled moldy, breakfast was terrible , location not too good.. this is definitely not a 5* place. Cannot think of a reason to stay here even for the low price.
