The rooms are fine and the breakfast is good. Its expensive but thats Switzerland. The thing we didn't like was we found desk staff really unfriendly. I found them a bit intimidating. We asked for some milk to make a cup of tea in our room. No not possible. So i walked down 10 minutes in the pouring rain to buy some. (No offer of an umbrella ).
Coming back i found that the 2 teabags you are issued, one was herbal. So i went downstairs to ask for a black teabag. No not possible, unless you trade your herbal tea. So i went upstairs and brought down and swapped. Come on SWISS people. Where is the customer service here. i have now been to probably 15 accomodation locations in Europe in the Last 3 months and this was by far the most expensive with the scabiest attitude.

It is an old hotel with lots of character and details. The bedroom was up to date and comfortable! The view is unsurpassed! Breathtaking! Would love to return! Great food also!

Location was fabulous, just a short walk to the village and the lake. We had a room with a lake view and it was absolutely beautiful. Bed was super comfortable. Parking was easy. On the down side, most of the lights in our room didn’t work and the coffee/tea facilities in our room included two random tea bags only - no basic black tea and no coffee.

The room though small was clean and the bathroom shower was very good ! Breakfast staff were excellent; would have been better if some hot food was served

The staff at the reception and in the restaurant was great! Check-in and check-out was very efficient. Given the price per night, some renovations would be expected. The bathroom fan was making so much noise , I thought it would break. Not possible to turn it off since it went on with the lights. Hard to not to wake up someone who is sleeping…. The location is great (walkable everywhere) but it was surprisingly noisy if you left the windows opened for air.

The hotel is very pleasant with spectacular views and a wonderful restaurant, but the overall condition of the hotel is tired and in need of some renovation.

A gem of a hotel which is why it is continually booked out. The decor probably hasn’t been updated in 40 years and might seem dated (not tired) with quirky features such as bathroom basins behind cupboard doors, an array of charming nik-naks around the hotel and an old fashioned lift with no safety door. Everything is spotlessly clean, beds are extremely comfortable, rooms are large (yes, you must spend the extra money for a lake view) and the dining room and cosy bar/balcony is a real treat. In an era of characterless chain hotels this defies the norm and is wonderful for it. Comfortable and with great staff I’d love to come back for the winter!

Beautiful dining room overlooking the lake with very good breakfast and helpful staff. If walking fromm the train station use the parking garage escalators or pay the 12CHF for the hotel shuttle.

It was a good stay.

Katerina was so kind as we checked in. Our taxi driver took us across town to the wrong hotel and left us there. It is our first visit to Ss Moritz and we’re so excited to go exploring. When we finally arrive Katarina settled us in our rooms and provided all the information we needed. We would recommend this hotel to our friends and family. Thank you again Katarina.

Beautiful hotel with characters. The breakfast room has the best view. Only short walk to town but it’s quite stiff walk down to the lake, good for exercise :-).

Hotel located good, short walk to centre and lifts. Fantastic view of lake. Lovely bar & nice service, breakfast good too. Received complimentary ski lift passes which saved a lot of money. Very friendly & attentive staff. Highly recommend.

The hotel is a historic building, but the interior was beautiful and the view from the room was amazing. I needed some skill to use the keys, but the experience at the hotel was great.

Hotel is 16 minute uphill walk from the train station. Pretty hotel inside. Large room with partial view of lake. Refrigerator and kettle in room. Free breakfast was decent.

It can be seen that this hotel was luxurious in the past. It is full of classical atmosphere, especially the public areas, which I like very much. The room is spacious and bright with a beautiful lake view. If the furniture and bathroom can be renovated, it will be perfect.

Interesting hotel that combines the original character of a building built early 1900's with the modernity of bath facilities.
Fascinating decor throughout the hotel with sleds pulled by horses, an elevator using regular hinged doors and a view spectacular.
The bathroom was impressive at the other end of the spectrum, with heated floors, the best rain shower i have seen . The staff is great as well , definitely a great option in St. Moritz

Room with lake view is a must! Beds are very comfortable and rooms are big. The bathroom is dated and tiny. Staff is super friendly.

Great one night stay in St Moritz. Super friendly staff, family owned and operated with pride. Definitely recommend

It’s a wonderful location with a beautiful lake view. Staff is friendly and helpful. Restaurant is very pricy, but a grocery store is not far by car. It has a lot of old-world charm, but needs a bit more maintenance. Easy free onsite parking. It took a bit of time to find. Maps led us to a different location.

This is an old property but had charm. Wonderful on site dinning, had the best pasta there. The breakfast was good, a lot to pick from. The dinning room and bar had seating overlooking the water. There was a lift to take you from the main floor to your room. Lots of antiques to look at on each floor.

Beautiful hotel

The property was a little tough for us to find the entrance (use the upper road not the lower road) but was very charming once we got in. They have a shuttle to the train station available for ~12Francs which was super helpful when we left. The included breakfast was very nice with a beautiful view.
Our room did not have air conditioning (seems to be normal in Switzerland) and was a little warm at times but with a window that we could prop open for some airflow.
Would stay again!

Room & bedding was great. Good customer at reception, restaurant & bar. Really quiet a charming and historical. Would highly recommend. Only issue would be that smoking was allowed inside the bar, which drove us out & smelled up the reception area into the next day.

We had a very comfortable stay in this very conveniently located hotel, just outside St Moritz city centre. It is a beautiful old hotel but with all the modern amenities that you would expect with a hotel of this quality.
4.0
Good hotel and reasonably priced by St. Moritz standards. The location is also good, it’s a short walk away from the restaurants and stores. I wasn’t impressed with the breakfast which does matter in St. Moritz because it saves you from spending $50 on a meal elsewhere. No eggs, no bacon, and no pastries.

It was the secomnd time I staid at this hotel but the previous room was majestic in a corner with a good view.
The room I have bneen given waqs small an little view. When I asked I was told that it correspomded to the category I had booked Which Im had not noticed at time of booking. They had a shuttle bus to the station costing about the same price as a taxi which I toook atb arival
It should, have been much cheaper for guests considering the short distance to mthe station.

I booked this hotel because of its wonderful reviews and it did not disappoint. I spent the night here to catch the Glacier Express. A shuttle is available to and from the train station for 12 Chf each way. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was newly renovated. I arrived a few minutes early so I waited on my room on a beautiful terrace with a spectacular view of the lake. Breakfast was great as well.

Room has unblocked view of the beautiful lake. A bit long and uphill walking distance from train station.
