Unfortunately old building and some rooms poorly maintained and some rooms without balcony, check beforehand as very high priced in summer season

The lobby and restaurant are completely renovated and very attractive, but the rooms are a remnant from the nineties, design wise (especially the bathroom), albeit comfortable. The food in the restaurant (we had half-board) is very average and the pungent smells from cooking food was overpowering. Don't expect to swim in the indoor pool, since it's just an oversized kids' puddle - not small, but so shallow that one wonders what the point is.

The A/C unit should blow the air in a different direction. The cold air was blowing directly on the bed. This was the only unpleasant thing about the property

Excellent place for people seeking an active holiday. Brilliant gym, sports facilities, enthusiastic animation team, helpful concierge and wide choice of büfé style half board. However, our holiday was spoiler by not adequate communication between Hotels.com , Valamar Reservation and reception. The issue of being charged twice by Valamar Reservation which is not recorded in their system is still to be resolved. Shame, as this problem really overshadowed our otherwise nice and precious family holiday.

Very nice hotel, breakfast and dinner buffet with vegetables, fish, meat and healthy and gluten free corner. Clean room. Indoor and outdoor swimming pool, gym.
Brolo Beach is two minutes walking and Porec center 25 minutes by foot, also reachable with little touristic train which run on the promenade.

breakfast very good, ommelettes from Inez with a big smile starts the day. Bit disapointed of the room, first was not expected, no view, we asked for another room, and at reception staff tried succesfull. informed us about all things to do and were very helpfull. Nice swimming pool an lots of good beds, free towels and enoiugh space. Room was good, except the bathroom, bit warned out. For superiour room, 1st floor did not have the expected view. Dinner much to choose, but quickly empty. Airco in restaurant and in room. Overall nice stay for a few days.

The hotel has a pool, a large hall for breakfast and dinner, parking in the open but is save.The staff is friendly,again would have stayed.I have no complaints.20 min walk you reach the old town.the bathroom could still be a shower gel and balsam hire.For breakfast and dinner has a large selection of savory and sweet meat. Price corresponds to the level of the hotel.The rooms have a balcony and a beautiful view of the sea.

Hotel was nice and clean, however the balcony sea view we had was not really the view one would expect for the additional cost per night. The breakfast and dinner selection was also quite small with little to no change from day to day. Drinks were well priced. We enjoyed the BBQ that the hotel set up (Wednesday night). The location of the hotel was pretty close to Porec center, nice place to pending an evening.

Window blinds do not cover the light and it was quite unpleasant in the morning and the beds were very uncomfortable. Ive never experienced tape over the mini-bar (that was a first). Otherwise, the staff were extremely helpful. I have to send kudos to Veronika, our waitress during dinner. No one else saw us (not even the manager on duty), but she noticed that we had not been served (and it wasnt even her waiting area). Wellness center was ok, just the dead cockroach on the floor was a bit bothersome.

my friend and I had a wonderful time at the hotel Diamant, the staff were fantastic, so helpful, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Marjey the head of the dining room looked after us and was always smiling and helpful. Danjel in the lounge bar made us both laugh and was a real character. the room was on the second floor overlooking the park, and although there wasnt much of a view it didnt matter. the room was clean and fresh and very quiet. In the evening there is a short 10-15min walk to Porec or there was some great family entertainment at the hotel next door, we had a great Abba tribute night! lovely grounds, wonderful food, we will definitely go back again. thank you to all the great staff.

We never go back to Countries we have visited before because we always think there is so much of the world to be explored, but we really loved Croatia and possibly would come back and if we did this would be the hotel we would stay at. Your roughly about 30 minutes from the airport and the taxi will cost around £50 each way. On arrival at the hotel it is big and a sister hotel to Ruby and Crystal... it has everything you could possibly want. Kids club, bikes for hire, gym, sports facilities, wellness centre, indoor and out door pools... the list in endless, look on their website and it will tell you. There is a lot going on down by the sea front, mini golf, jet ski hire, tennis.. the list is endless and for all ages. You really wont be disappointed. The rooms are basic but what else do you need, the beds were really comfortable and the pillows were too..(sometimes you want to get home to your own bed, but these were lovely) and air conditioned. The food is very good, we stayed half board and there was something always being cooked fresh,hot croissants in the morning, the pizza is lovely and there was always a joint of meat being cooked as well as fresh pasta... it really catered for everyone. The pool area food is lovely too and prices were very reasonable... There are gardens which lead down to the sea and more sun beds if you want a quieter area.

The hotel accommodations and amenities were great and a very friendly staff. A bit far from the center of town. One regret was taking the advice of our check in agent who directed us to a restaurant he made a reservation on our behalf since the hotel restaurant was closed. He directed us not to converse with other restaurant staff as they would try to recruit us but we come to find that the his recommendation was highly overpriced.

We were able to get a lounge chair by the pool every day. The beach is 200 meters away. Not a sandy beach, but the water was warm and clear. Also very easy to get a spot on the beach. Very relaxing place to stay. Only about a15 minute walk along the beach into the town center. Breakfast and dinner were included with our room. I am not usually keen on buffet food, but it was very fresh and cooked right in front of you. Lots of variety of excellent dishes.

Hotel is one in a complex of 4 (at least two others are part of the same Valamar chain). Good points are: staff very efficient and friendly, buffet meals with plenty of choice, handy for beach activities, only a 30-40 minute walk into Porec, decent leisure facilities. Poor points: all hotels have same range of drinks, and exactly the same pricing.

This is probably a perfect hotel for a family that wants to have everything at hand without having to go into the touristic city center. They is a huge breakfast and dinner buffet, there is a pool, a spa, a gym, and you can easily access the beach (which is rocky in these parts but still pleasant). The food is not great, so if youre looking to have a special gastronomic experience then this is definitely not the place for you. Rooms are not fancy but adequate and clean - the bathroom was quite small and strangely shaped in my single room, but is probably better in the larger rooms.

This was a wonderful relaxing stay. The hotel was clean and well- run. Staff were friendly and helpful. It was a plus that it was within walking distance to the town of Porec through a beautiful park. The food was fresh and delicious and the combination of having breakfast and dinner available made everything so easy. one did not have to think aobut muCh, just relax and enjoy!

The outside of the hotel is a typical 1970s communist concrete facade that is hideous, but it hides a heart of gold. From the cleaners to the very visible manager all the staff are extremely friendly and helpful.

Not normally a hotel hoilday family so being surrounded by a lot of people was a bit different for us. Couldn't fault the cleanliness of rooms or communal areas and food was excellent. Again we were a little wary about buffet food every night but there was a huge choice and something different each day. Salads were so good that teenage son not known for his love of things healthy pronounced that he had really enjoyed the salad selection. Getting a sunbed by the pool is a bit competitive with nowhere nearly enough for the size of the hotel. Also it seemed odd to us that the pool closed a 7pm.
The only negative comment relates to our departure. Having settled our bill at 10.30 pm the day before our departure because we had an earlyish start we assumed that was it . I was therefore surprised and annoyed when as we were about to get in to the taxi the receptionist came running after us to say we had not paid our bill. It turned out that a bill from the previous afternoon that we had put on our room card had not been handed in by the waiter until very late. I had no local currency but the receptionist insisted that I paid the the bill by credit card - the amount ? 30 Kunas (about £3.60). Having spent some £1800 at the hotel and by the admission of the receptionist the waiter was at fault we left on a sour note. A little flexibility would have been more appropriate.

It was a very pleasant stay, staff is friendly. The food served in restaurant is excellent - great choice of cuisines, serve fish. Only objection would be that in 3 nights our sheets were not changed. Great location, reccommend the hotel
