A wonderful, charming BnB with a very knowledgeable host, delicious breakfasts, excellent service, comfortable bed, spacious bathroom, and charming home. Beautiful surroundings of Squam Lake and hiking trails, and many restaurants in the area of all sorts to choose from.
There was a problem with the a/c and the host, Glenn, immediately changed our room when, after making several attempts at correcting the problem, it needed more than immediate attention could fix. Thank you, Glenn for everything!

We had a very nice stay that felt more like a home and the breakfast was delicious as well, will recommend to anyone looking for something similar to a home.

A very friendly welcome, overall everything was great.

I cannot recommend this property enough. The proprietors are fantastic and make you feel like you are truly having an experience rather than just a stay. The breakfast is exceptional and home made with a rotating menu, and the room we stayed in (the Roosevelt Suite) felt like a home away from home. We enjoyed it so much my fiancé and I have vowed to make a stay here yearly one of our many future traditions.

Great creative, delicious homemade breakfast. Glynn was an incredible host. Highly recommended

We enjoyed the visit at the Glynn House. We stayed in the Lincoln room. It was nice for the seclusion in the Carriage house and King size bed. Having a full kitchen is nice for keeping food on longer stays. There is a fireplace in the sitting area which was the main reason we stayed there... They serve a sit down breakfast that I hear is nice but it was too early for us to partake. This is a historic property and is well kept from that perspective. The town of Ashland is a great middle ground for moving around the state(s) in all directions. There is a lot of stuff to do and the roads in NH are very well maintained.

Host is very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast is good.

We liked the way the king size apartment was set up; small kitchen when plenty of items, table and chairs, two different coffee makers and a supply of tea and coffee. A livingroom, two good sized closets and king bed and a big bathroom. The only down sides were the space was in the basement and it smelled musty and it needed a dehumidifier as the sheets got wet feeling. Also the person in the space above us sounded like they were walking around with their shoes on starting at 7:00 a.m.

Very nice room. Tiny shower with no safety bar and slow draining g sink.) Lovely morning fruit plate but few accommodations for dietary restrictions. Room air conditioner was very loud. We had no housekeeping during our 3 day visit. Entrance was not particularly welcoming (no porch decor, cushions on the chairs, etc.)

Glynn House is a beautiful Victorian on a quiet street. We stayed in the Carriage House in a spacious suite with a large bath, attractive new and antique furniture and artwork on the walls. Our breakfast offered many dishes with local foods including. Glenn, one of the owners, was a gracious host willing to share local knowledge about what to do in the area.

Glynn House was a lovely place to stay. Glenn, the host, was welcoming and very interesting to talk to. The breakfast was excellent with gluten-free options for me. The walk to town was easy. I would definitely stay there again.

The Glynn House Inn is a treasure. Check-in was easy, our room-the Roosevelt Suite- was exceptional. Giant fireplace, lovely furnishings, a relaxing giant jetted tub and separate shower and a king-sized bed.

We stayed at Glynn House Inn for the first time this past weekend. We found the The Inn to be clean, charming, and peaceful. Our room was spacious, immaculate, quaint and very cozy. The bed was beyond comfortable and the gas fireplace added to the ambiance. The Innkeepers were responsive, friendly and knowledgeable of the area and activities. The breakfast was delicious. We will certainly be back. Next time for a longer visit 😊
Something to help make a visit better would be a network list of recommended restaurants, activities and spas etc.

The Glynn House Inn is nothing short of amazing. Glenn and Ingrid are wonderful hosts. We had our Goldendoodle with us so we stayed in the pet friendly Roosevelt suite which is located in the carriage house. The suite was clean, quiet, spacious with a nice fireplace in the living room. The bathroom was large with a 2 person jacuzzi tub and included a makeup vanity which was wonderful for me. The bed was so comfortable I didn’t want to leave it.
In the morning, guests are invited to the main house dining room for an exceptional breakfast with many options. I had a cheese omlet with ham and toast, and my husband had the ricotta and cream cheese stuffed french toast. Glenn did a wonderful job keeping nice conversation with all the guests and never missing a beat with refilling drinks, taking orders and bringing everyone their delicious breakfast.
Glenn provided area recommendations for dining and fun things to do. We don’t ski so we were in town for my husband’s birthday and some R&R. Parking is free and onsite. We are already planning our next trip back for the summer.

First let me say we do not frequent B&Bs. We had a trip planned to NH for leaf peeping and a B&B felt like the right vibe for the trip. The Glynn House is nice and Glenn, the proprietor is great. That said, there are some things that drive our rating.
Ashland is an unremarkable town and the drive up to The Glynn House is a bit sketchy. Definitely not a charming little town to say the least. We certainly were not inclined to walk around the area of the property. The property overall is cute but also peculiar. We stayed in the Grant room even though we booked the Harrison room. This was technically an upgrade but unfortunately the gas fireplace was not working nor was the heat. It was chilly in the room and Glenn remedied the heat (not the fireplace) before we got back for a our second night. The other thing that’s just a bit weird is that the shower is in the bedroom. This is mentioned in other reviews. It definitely gets steamy in the room in the morning because of this. All this combined with the rust on the shower curtain hangers, dirty cleaning cloth left in the bathroom, and dirty windows led to our review.
Breakfast is a really nice treat with all the hot selections (about 10) although the coffee is really not very good. Breakfast is only from 8:30-9:30 so if you are leaving early or aren’t an early riser your are in trouble (unless you request a to go breakfast the night before).
We had high expectations but ended up leaving underwhelmed.

Bad experience with the self-catering room. The room was dirty, smelled of mold, door handle fell off. One of the closets had a jug of something marked to remove moisture from the air but that didnt work. I suspect there was some type of water damage/flood at some point.Just an overall bad experience. Cannot recommend.

The Glynn House Inn is beautiful, tranquil, and well hosted.
The common rooms are clean and well maintained --- beautiful woodwork and framings through out, and large windows yield lots of natural sunlight. Aesthetically, it is very pretty with a true Victorian feel. All rooms are tastefully furnished.
I stayed in the the Monroe Suite, which was a large room with pleasant decor. The bed was large, soft, and comfortable, as were the linens. If it were not a hot summer weekend, I probably would have taken advantage of the hot tub and imitation fireplace that was also in the suite.
The complementary breakfasts were very good, and the host was an engaging conversationalist. The two Dalmatians that also live at the Inn are very sweet! As a bonus, there are dog-friendly rooms available as well; I did not bring my dog for this trip, but I think dog-friendliness is always a welcomed observation to note.
The location of the Inn is very convenient, not far from Rt. 3, and has a few restaurants within short walking distance. The surrounding neighborhood is very peaceful, ideal for evening strolls.
I only stayed for two nights, visiting the area for a wedding nearby, but I would certainly consider returning. Many thanks to the hosts of the Glynn House Inn for such a lovely stay.

Exquisite! The Glynn House is first class. Elegant, peaceful, comfortable and convenient to nature’s beauty. The proprietors go out of the way to make sure your stay is relaxing and memorable. With a little notice they will go the extra yard to meet special requests.Glenn may be the most interesting innkeeper on the planet who Can provide you with a wealth of information on the area and it’s history, as well as the numerous celebrity guests who have visited the Inn. Looking for a short (or longer) hike through the woods? Simply ask. (And, BTW, you may want to take a walk after eating their exceptional breakfast and follow it up with a soak in a jetted tub). Need to find a local beach for a swim. Simply ask. Etc… And be sure to make time for a “Happy Hour” glass of wine on the front porch. In short, if you are visiting the Lakes Region or nearby ski resorts make the Glynn House your home base.

Best B&B we’ve stayed at - super friendly, delicious muffins & breakfast! Thank you.

Glenn and Pam were absolutely fantastic hosts. Room was very clean and comfortable. The daily morning breakfast was fantastic and did I mention the rotating daily muffin. Glenn was an incredibly kind and informative host. I enjoyed the morning chat and local advice at breakfast as much as the delicious meal itself. Close to anything we needed to do and a far better experience than a chain hotel. this was our first B & B and I must say, I will be going that route now in the future. I am sure when we are back in the area, this will be the place we look to stay. 10/10 on every level.

My friend Kim and I stayed here for a few nights. The room was great, they were kind enough to allow us to stay there with my dog even though we booked the wrong room. Food was great. Great travel advice. Very kind people. Would stay again
